Cody Jacks Oyster Bar

My husband and I visted Cody Jacks for the first time last weekend. Although we werent impressed by the atmosphere (cotton hanging from the ceilings, supposed to be clouds I guess, tables cramped into one small room, uncomfortable seating, and cheap murals was the decor), we were still excited about the opportunity to enjoy some good seafood. Well, we were never given that opportunity. We were sat by the hostess and waited for 20 minutes. Nobody came to get our order, bring us a drink, tell us they'de be with us in a few...nothing!! 2 waitresses look at us several times and ignored us. Maybe they were too busy?? We left and went to Red Lobster.

They have great food and specials, now they serve breakfast. It's always fun and lively atmosphere. They have great drinks and entertainment and they are very close to home.

We live in Clermont and have gone to Cody Jack's for lunch and dinner many times. The food is respectable. They have good oyster stew which is creamy and full of meat. They also have a seafood gumbo that is excellent. We like the fish nugget appetizer and the fish dip. Surprisingly, the salads are great here. I didn't expect that. The atmosphere is like an island pub. We try to go on the weekends when they have live music. It's a great place to have a cold beer and good food.

we had the best time there foir dinner. it was not really crowded where u couldnt move. the bar as soon as you walk in is huge. They can even shuck oysters at the bar for you. The interior was really cool, they have this room that is painted like a beack seen. As soon as you walk in its like your on the beach. The service was great and everyone seemed really nice!! And the food was amazing!!
