Reviews for Pool Service America, Inc.

Ratings_icons Pool Service America is a rip off.

I had the misfortune of using Pool Service America for several months. The cost was far in excess of their competition but since I travel a lot, I felt I could rely on them and was tired of returning home to a green pool. I found their service to be mediocre and was constantly being prebilled for services in the future. They charged me $90+ to treat black algae which was not in the pool when they took over. It didn't work and repeated calls were not returned. I also sent several emails which were ignored. Even though they have over $300. of my money in prepayments, they cut off service. I have since replaced them and will probably have to sue them for the return of my money.

I would not recommend this company. They spend a lot of time sending post cards to advertise and have great sales people to get you started. Then they don't show or when they show, the filter is not attached properly. I should have know something was wrong when the first few weeks my pool turned green. Because the filter wasn't attached properly, I would lose many gallons of water and then my pump burnt out from running when it was dry. I spent $450 to get a new one. They never call back when you try to speak with a manager even when they give you a time that they will. I spoke with Craig who did not return my call and when I called back upset, he told me that I would have to pay until the end of the month. Quiet frankly, I don't trust them.
