I've been a patient at this facility for over 10 years and the service I've recieved has steadily declined. Apparently the hiring staff doesn't have high requirements and does not set professionalism rules because the new staff members (1) do not speak intelligently, (2) flaunt their homosexuality like it's a night club, (3) can't enter in the information given correctly due to their 15 inch neon pink, fake diamond laced, ghetto finger nails, (4) curse very loudly in the office like its normal language, and (5) have their music so loud it sounds like a concert.

After requesting (in person) that get a copy of my records, I filled out all of the paperwork and was told I would be contacted on Tuesday with the amount (no problem with that.) I later called and asked if there is a charge for my records be sent to another doctor, and the person that cut me off and was speaking 200 mph with a very thick accent (she sounded like Pepe The King Prawn of the Muppets) and made rude statements like, "I've already answered your question," when I needed clarification on something.

The billing manager is a joke... he/she/it doesn't even bother to come out of the office when he/she/it is needed.

However, I guess when there is a poor example being set by "managment," the staff will follow in the same footsteps of those in their so called "managment."

Supposedly my condition was "URGENT" and I needed to be seen right away. Apparently it wasn't truly "urgent" because I was told I had to pay any remaining balance before being seen. While I can understand that policy, THEY were the ones that told me my condition was urgent and that I needed to be seen right away. I'd just started a new job and waisted 1.5 hours taking off of work for nothing. My FSA card was due to me any day, and of all of the 10+ years that I've been there, I've never had any problem paying my bill, they've never sent me out to collections or anything of that matter. So why be so inflexible for a patient with such an "urgent" condition. Funny thing is, I bet if a friend of the "billing manager" came in, that policy would be waived for them.

They need new staff--95% of them need to be replaced--and I mean replaced YESTERDAY. The lazy billing manager needs to be the first one out of the door for lack of professionalism. At least step your sorry a$$ ouf of the office when you talk to a patient, and when you talk to a patient it's probably not a good idea to talk over them; at least let the patient finish their sentence. If you can't step out of the office, at least apologize to the patient on the phone and let them know that.

I've been a patient of Ob & Gyn Specialists for almost 20 years. It was a small and the doctors were great, the doctors have remained the same (Wilstrup is awesome) but it's not worth it when you have to do ANYTHING with the office staff - everything to problems with billing, scheduling, records - and not small problems either. They make me never want to go there each time I go.
