BAD, BAD, BAD! Made a reservation through SW Airlines with Advantage in Orlando. Was supposed to have a car for $157, but wait...Got to the off airport site via their van, presented my reservation info, and was presented with a handwritten slip of paper showing me charges to be applied IMMEDIATELY to my credit card: $200 "deposit" and $51.00+ for gasoline, and then once the car was returned, these charges would be reversed and I would pay for my regular rental. I told Sherell (I believe that was her name) that this was NOT standard operating procedure. I would rent the car for the week, would fill it up when finished, and agreed/reserved payment would be made when I dropped it off. I was NOT paying $250 right now. She said that was their policy. I was SO upset, I had the van take us back to MCO, and rented with Budget. I CONSIDER THIS OCCURENCE OUTRAGEOUS - I e-mailed Southwest; I hope they pull Advantage off their site. I will NEVER use Advantage, and have already told 3 friends making rental plans to avoid this company, and make this hopefully a much larger warning to many more. I wound up paying more than planned due to this fiasco, and am angry beyond belief. Had to pay twice what I planned. (If this is a regular occurrence for Advantage, they need to say so on their ads; if it is NOT, they need to fire some employees in Orlando!)

Not only is their customer "support" NON-EXISTENT, their agents lie to your face. I tried 6 separate times, which included more than 10 minutes waiting on hold for each of 3 of the calls, to work my orignial problem with their phone (customer) support. When a person finally picked up they were simply useless. They refused to DO anything, insisting they only TAKE calls - and cannot take 'action'. Like I said, useless. When I asked to speak to the last representative's supervisor she said 'ok' but immediately hung up on me. So she was either a rude liar or completely incompetent. My other calls were to the desk at the airport, which were NEVER picked up at all. The phone rang for more than 5 minutes each time before I gave up and hung up. I have never taken the time and effort to get an account and write a review, but I intend to rant at every opportunity about these problems, every travel website where I can write a review I will share my VERY negative experience, and will stress that this company intentionally rips off customers by lying about their policies to increase the charges and costs, and then is impossible to reach after you realize you've been ripped off. DO NOT use this company. The stress and fury you will have to deal with is not worth the savings. They get 1 star only because the car was clean and didn't break down on me. I shudder to think of what would have happened if it did, given THIS kind of service experience.
