TLC Laser Eye Ctr

As a future optometrist, I know how important and precious a person's vision is. I've been wearing glasses/contact lenses since the age of 7. Without any correction, I couldn't see anything past about 10 inches away from my face.. no joke! I've always been interested in LASIK, but I wanted to find a doctor who I felt comfortable and confident with... and luckily, I was introduced to Drs. Aran and Stelzer. I was able to see first hand what fantastic results were achieved. After I had my consultation, I was on the countdown for surgery day! My vision now is better than what I expected! I'll be forever grateful for Drs. Aran and Stelzer. They have changed my life!

Pros: I don't squint out the alarm clock.. and still get it wrong

Just got back from my follow up and I'm seeing 20/15!! I knew that having the surgery would correct my vision, but the results have been amazing! No more glasses when I wake up in the middle of the night, no more contacts to put in my eye everyday, and I see even better than when I HAD contacts. The staff at TLC Coral Gables is top notch, very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend them to everyone.

I had struggled with glasses and contacts since for decades until several friends recommended I go to see Dr. Aran. I found out that he is who other eye doctors trust to have surgery with so I was very confident in my desision. 1 day after not being able to see anything farther than an inch form my nose I was seeing better than I had with my thick glasses! My procedure was 5 years ago and I still see perfect! This place is the best!! I have sent several friends to this center who have all had outstanding results! Trust the doctor other doctors trust!

I had my lasik sugery on Nov 2006 and the results were amazing. I was able to see clearer as soon as the surgery was over. Yes I was scared but once it was over I wished I would of developed the courage to do it sooner. The staff at the center was very helpful and made the process easier.

I recently had my surgery with Dr. Alberto Aran and was seeing better than I had with my glasses and contacts right after the procedure! I can now see better than 20/15 in both eyes!

This center was just named "Best Laser Eye Center" for 2009 by the Miami New Times..and for a good reason!

I know many friends and colleagues who have had surgery at this center and all are more than satisfied with thier exceptional results and have sent friends and family for surgery. Dr. Aran is a corneal specialist and an renouned eye surgeon. I would not go anywhere else for LASIK! Definately the best decision I have ever made. Thank you Dr. Aran and TLC staff, you have changed my life!

I received Lasik eye surgery in February 2008 with Dr. Joseph Aran at the TLC Eye Center in Coral Gables. Within days after undergoing the surgery, I was not seeing well. In fact, I had a -.75 in one eye and a -1.25 eye in the other. They made me wait for 3 months before they considered "reexamining" the possibility of surgery for the second time. In the meantime, I had to go out and buy a new pair of prescription glasses out of my own money. They later agreed to re-do my worse eye, but refused to re-do my eye with -.75 prescription. On top of that, I know somebody in my office who underwent Lasik surgery with Dr. Aran in December 2007 and had major post-surgery complications with his eye-cut-flaps. He almost went blind in one eye an had to wear sunglasses 24-hours-a-day for 3 months and take an absent-without-pay from the office during that time. I now see 20/30 vision and have to wear a contact lens in one eye for perfect vision. If you're thinking about corrective eye surgery, go somewhere else!
