I was hesitant using this company due to the one bad review written. I did phone and talk to the owner and he put my fears at ease! I had to rent a crib, cd player, high chair and bin of toys VERY last minute (two days before

We too have had wonderful experiences with A Baby's Best Friend. Their staff is friendly and helpful, and the items we rent are always better than we expect (or see from other companies). Steam cleaned and always great quality, their items

We rented 2 double strollers from "A Baby's Best Friend" (ABBF) for our trip to Disney World, Orlando in March 2010 for a week.

Strollers were waiting for us when we got to the resort. They were wrapped in clear plastic bags and fairly clean although one of the strollers' cupholder/bag was torn and could not really be used for that purpose.

Second or third day of our trip, one of the strollers got a flat and we could not use it at all (and stayed at the resort). We called and left a message with our number that the stroller had a flat and that we would like it fixed or exchanged for another stroller. No response. A day or so after that, we called to let them know that we wanted to extend the stroller rental by a day. Again left a message and received no response. We called a third time to find out whether anything was being done regarding our two earlier messages. Left a message again and never got a response. Since we never got a response for the 3 messages, we assumed they needed the stroller back on the original return date, so returned them to the resort on the originally stipulated date.

It was a hassle not to have the service of one of the strollers for most of our trip because of the flat and a smaller hassle not having a stroller at all for an extra day, but later on we were surprised with a charge on our credit card for an extra day for both strollers. When we called ABBF back and also emailed them complaining about the lack of customer service and to find out about the charge, they were extremely rude. Somehow they had received the message about extending the rental by a day, but never received the message about the stroller getting a flat which we find impossible to believe. So they conveniently charged us for both strollers for an extra day. We could have taken this up with our credit card company, but decided the aggravation was not worth the $15 over the original price of renting the two double strollers.

Hope this helps someone who may be thinking of using ABBF. It is definitely something that could be convenient to travelers to the Orlando area, but do be aware that in case of problems you can forget about customer service from ABBF and that convenience.

Pros: Could be a great service

Cons: Forget it in case of issues

When vacationing in Orlando, we rented a crib online from A Baby's Best Friend on the advice of our resort, Wyndham Bonnet Creek. The boxed crib and bagged linens were waiting for us upon check-in in our resort's luggage room and the bellhop brought it up to our room. The rental included a like-new wooden crib, thick crib mattress, mattress pad, crib sheet, bumpers and small quilt. The crib needed to be assembled (basically snapped together) and was easily accomplished in about 10 minutes after reading the directions. The linens were well-loved yet freshly laundered "Winnie the Pooh" designs. Before we left, we disassembled the crib, boxed it up and had the bellhop return it to the luggage room for pick-up. It was an easy, fairly painless experience. We were very happy with the quality of the modern crib. HIghly recommend if you travel with little ones!
