My review is for the Beach Garden Restaurant.
We decided to go to this restaurant as it was in the lobby of the Holiday Inn we stayed in.
A mistake we all regretted. We were the only table for about the first 15-20 minutes.

First, when we walked in with our 2 year old daughter a server made a snide and rude comment to us because we use a back pack with a safety harness on the back of it. Her comment was this, ??OH I see you have your daughter leashed like a dog!? to which I was taken back by how nasty she come off and replied ??Why yes this is a safety harness and it keeps her from getting hit by car like a dog too.? I fully understand this is something people do not see eye to eye on BUT we don??t need to be discussing this subject with someone who should mind their own business. I go for safety over appearance especially when we are in busy public places but that is MY business. It isn??t any of that server??s business and she should learn that if you??re working in the hospitality business you aren??t rude to paying customers unless you could care less about service. Not to mention it isn??t her business and such comments are taken as they are intended.

Thankfully, we were spared having that woman as our server.

We decided to go for the breakfast buffet. We were not impressed.
One table they had chaffing dishes that held the hot food.
They had scrambled eggs, French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, grits, bacon, sausage links, and home fries. They had some syrup but we did not see any powdered sugar or butter.
On the other table they had some cereal boxes, milk to pour into the cereal boxes, orange juice, a very small platter of fruit (orange slices, grapes, pineapple), small muffins and some sort of cheese danishes.
There was some station where the man who manned it made omelets.

The sausage gravy was so greasy that when we went to ladle some up the grease was on top. Other than that the rest of the food was okay.

My brother in law and his wife ordered ham and cheese omelets from the omelet station.
I had not realized it at first because they were STILL waiting for them about 20 minutes later. Then she got her omelet and he had to ask about his and opps they forgot it and his took another 20 minutes to get.

My sister in law and niece both ordered Sweet Iced Tea. When they got their tea it was Raspberry and they were told that down here in Florida that is what Sweet Tea is. Excuse me, I have lived here since the early 80s and I have NEVER heard of Sweet Tea and Raspberry Tea being the same thing. So they gave them regular tea and told them to put sugar in it.

When we got our bill (2 adults and 1 child in our party) and (2 adults and 2 children) for my in laws party each bill was charged a 17 percent gratuity. I know a lot of places do add a gratuity, so be aware.
OH and on the Holiday Inn web site it states that kids eat free. Well our receipt shows that we were indeed charged $5.95 for our 2 year old who hardly ate anything. Very misleading.

The Beach Garden was very nice, menu was good and the prices are very reasonable. Wait staff was just okay, but when we got our food it was good. It was an okay visit and would recommend
