Six of us went for dinner. The wait time was one hour. I was nervous since I had read the reviews and they were not very flowery. The night was beautiful weather. We sat out on the deck and enjoyed the night. The waitress was casual, friendly, and efficient. The crab stuffed haddock was a generous portion, a little dry but tasty. The vegetables on the side were parboiled or on the steamer, nothing special. The baked potato undecorated. My mother ordered Lobster Stew that she thought was delicious. My husband had seafood in pasta which was very good. One son ate the twin lobsters, he enjoyed them. We had a good time. Nice place.

Pros: Beautiful view

Cons: Not overly gourmet

This restaurant is located on a boat in Portland's Old Port. They offer a variety of seafood, as well as other traditional fare (steaks, etc). It's pricey, but the views are nice and the food is prepared very well. For a nice night out, it's worth a look.

Crowed, pricey, food is soso. Atnosphere was OK. There for a business meeting and we could barely here over the restaurant noice. Lobster Ravioli was OK, but not worth the price and a little short on flavor and presentation.

I wanted to see what this floating restuarant was all about, so I went there with my family for a birthday dinner. The service was average, as was the food. It was really nothing to write home about as there are so many other seafood restaurants in Portland that are so much better. The big attraction to Di Millo's is that its a floating restaurant, but once you get inside to boat it just seems like you're in any other restaurant, its just not a special as its made out to be.

I visited for dinner, as recommended by a rental car associate. For a weeknight dinner off-season, the place was fairly crowded, the food was good, and satisfied the needs of a tourist. It's a "floating restaurant," a clever use for a defunct car ferry.

Lobster stew is okay at $7. The 1-1/8 lb lobster was tasty. Waitresses are nothing sophisticated and neither are they well-versed in customer service, but they do their job. I liked the write-up about the (now deceased) founder of the business. It adds to the touristy-ness of everything.

They offer validated parking while having a meal at the floating restaurant.

My husband and I went to DiMillo's for dinner one evening. After our mediocre appetizers we told our waiter we will be going on to the deck for a cigarrette and will be back momentarily. We returned to our table only to find 2 couples seated at our table with drinks and menus. A busboy cleared our table and seated another party. We had to wait 10 minutes to get another table. I had requested to speak to the manager but he/she refused to speak to us. The waiter offered us coffee on the house for the inconvenience. If the food was outstanding I would've been a little less upset--but it wasn't. We were disappointed overall.

Tourist spot. Went for luch and was pretty expensive. The lobster club is better than the lobster roll. The lobster stew was around $7 for a cup but one of the best I ever tasted.
