Jakers is such a favorite of mine, where do I start? First off, they have such a great array of delicious meal options. If you're in the mood to get dressed up and enjoy a fine dinner, Jaker's is perfect. If you want a great sandwich while you watch the game, give Jaker's a try. If you want to enjoy a fantastic unlimited soup and salad bar, I can't think of a better place than Jaker's. If you want a great drink in a comfortable setting, once again I think of Jaker's. And if you want a great Sunday brunch that isn't just the typical faire, you guessed it....Jaker's! I enjoy having a business lunch or a family dinner at Jaker's any chance I get. It is one of Boise's real gems, I cannot recommend it more highly!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Jaker's for a Sunday night date night. We bellied up to the bar and we were greeted pleasantly by the server who informed us that on Sunday all day is happy hour and they offer drink and appetizer specials the entire day. The bar had different sporting events on the TV and it was casual, yet had a higher quality, more adult environment, which most sports bars don't usually give off and it was just as reasonable and had better food quality than most other establishments in the area. My husband enjoyed a cold draft and I had a Arnold Palmer, which was made with fresh lemonade and the rim of the glass was lined with sugar, it was so tasty and fresh with unlimited refills included... We shared an ordered of the finger steak appetizer served with cocktail sauce, and they were hot and tasty. I ordered the Avocado Turkey Wrap with the wedge salad, the classic wedge salad had a quarter of a head of ice burg lettuce, thick chunks of bacon, diced tomato, chunks of good quality blue cheese and blue cheese dressing, that was definitely made in house, the dressing was thick, creamy and delicious. The salad was definitely worth the extra cost to add it on to the meal. My husband had the French Onion soup with his Club sandwich, and it was so salty it was inedible. The server gave him the Lobster Bisque soup in place of the French Onion at no additional charge and the Lobster Bisque soup was velvety, rich and creamy, definitely worth the extra charge for the upgrade. The Turkey Wrap was enough for two meals and I ended up taking most of it home for lunch the next day, but it was delicious. My husband's club sandwich was large enough for us to share and have lunch the next day. The Club Sandwich was a triple decker with roast beef on the bottom layer with turkey and tomato on the top and it was very good. The server was very attentive and our drinks were never empty, even though she was busy with other patrons, we were well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Jaker's for any special occasion or for a quality dining experience.

My wife and I were at Jaker's just a few days ago and I must say, it was probably one of the better dinners we've ever had in the Boise area! Our server's name was Matt, and he did a great job in being very attentive to our needs all evening. And he made sure that our drinks were filled and that we had plenty of delicious scones with honey butter!

I ordered the finger steaks, and they were very tender, juicy with a tasty coating. Quite possibly the best I've ever had in this area! And Jaker's uses a unique process to cook their French fries as they don't taste starchy. And the lobster bisque soup was just out of this world! And my wife said that her broiled trout was excellent and fresh. And she said that her baked potato and dinner salad were very good as well. Next time we go we'll have to try one of their desserts as there are quite a few to chose from.

Years ago I did know the owner of Jaker's, Jake Jones, when he lived in Pocatello and ran the old Jake's restaurants. And I must say, he definitely knows his stuff when it comes to running a fine dining establishment as he's been at it for quite some time. And the price for meals here are very reasonable!

We are raving about the dinner experience we had in the Bar Top last Sunday! It's such a rarity to be able to enjoy a quiet drink without being surrounded by blaring TV's or raucous music. The bar is intimate and comfortable; we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

The food was top notch as well. I ordered the fish and chips - four large fillets, lightly beer-battered and nicely moist inside; served with what appeared to be fresh cut fries. I will definitely have them again. The salad bar had a nice variety of fresh salads and shrimp. The best part of the meal though was Jaker's amazing lobster bisque! So rich and delicious!

The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant itself was spotlessly clean. Such a great way to start the week!

Another great dinner at Jaker's! We sat in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Jenny who is absolutely fabulous. It is such a fun atmosphere in the bar area...made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. The lobster bisque was amazing and the salad full of fresh ingredients. My husband and I both had steaks that were cooked perfectly, served sizzling on the plate and absolutely delicious. One of these days, I hope to save room for some of their great looking deserts, but between the soup/salad/scones/entrees, we are always so stuffed with yummy food!

Would you like to enjoy a prime rib served with au jus that will actually melt in your mouth? Or a lobster bisque that is thick with real pieces of lobster in it? Then Jaker's in Meridian, Idaho, is the place for you. My guest and I enjoyed a superb dinner beginning with warm scones and honey butter. A Caesar salad on an icy cold plate followed. It had just the right amount of dressing over crisp bite size salad with grated cheese and croutons. The beef was outstanding and was complemented by a heaping serving of seasoned mashed potatoes. All this in an elegant, fun restaurant with cheerful, upbeat wait persons and a price that lets you return for more. If you wish, beverages and desserts are available.

I recently visited Jakers and enjoyed an excellent meal. The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere and is attractively decorated. The hard-working wait staff give diners a top-notch experience.

The food both my guest and I ordered was delicious, served hot and was prepared exactly like we had requested. I noticed plates that were delivered to nearby tables and everything looked terrific. There are numerous items I look forward to trying on future visits.

Every staff member that we encountered greeted us and made us feel like valued customers. We were welcomed as soon as we entered the building and sincerely thanked for coming in as we left.

I will definitely be back soon to try items like the fish & chips, finger steaks, prime rib and the bountiful salad bar. I can't wait.

What a great experience! I went to Jakers at high noon--a gamble since I had never been there and didn't know what to expect. It paid off. The building itself is simple and elegant, the staff adds a huge serving of friendly and warmth. Jakers was great from the moment we stepped inside to our steps on the way back out. Our lunch experience was relaxed and comfortable, while our service was quick and efficient. We were in and out within forty minutes, had a melt in your mouth Primerib French Dip sandwich with a nice sized side salad...oh--and complimentary warm scones with honey butter. We took a peek at the salad/soup bar (which appeared very popular). It had a lot of selections and even though many people seemed to be going through it was very well maintained and well stocked. This will be my choice for lunch the next time I visit. Jakers' atmosphere is both elegant and hospitable. It was impeccably clean when I was there. This is a great place for a bit nicer lunch, to celebrate a special occasion or to bring a client. The staff was so welcoming and friendly I felt like I had been going there for years!

One of my favorite local places to dine. By far one of the best happy hours in town. The atmosphere is casual, professional, and comfortable. Whether conducting business, socializing with a friend, or dining with the family, this place is great for all ages. The food is fresh and high quality. A solid mix of fine northwestern cuisine with selections that cover a reasonable price range. The service is pleasant and attentive. Overall cleanliness is noticeably and consistently clean.

In a city filled with a great variety of restaurant, Jakers sets itself apart from the rest. No two visits are ever alike, I still enjoy exploring the various menu options.

The soup and salad bar is always a wonderful option. With soups like French onion, baked potato and lobster bisque there is no bad choice. The various salads are delicious and contain a great array of ingredients.

Meals vary from casual to fine dining. They have sandwiches, salads, steaks, seafood and pasta dishes. The restaurant also has a full bar and offers great daily happy hour specials.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very comfortable. TVs show sporting events and casual dress is acceptable. The only thing I would suggest is making a reservation, this place is popular, especially on weekends.

I hope that you enjoy Jakers as much as I do! See you there!

We've visited Jaker's many times and are always pleased with the quality of both the staff and the food. The building and food is nice enough to feel like fine dining, but it's perfectly acceptable to dress casually which we really like.

On my most recent visit, we sat at the bar for happy hour and ended up ordering a full dinner as well. Our bartender, Jenny, is one of our favorites--she's quite friendly but not intrusively so. Their happy hour is really good: There's a small-plate appetizer menu (We tried the crab-stuffed mushrooms and the calamari. Both were good.) and drink specials. Their wine pours are a generous 9 ounces and they have a nice selection.

My husband ordered the soup and salad bar with his meal. He liked the salad bar, but the lobster bisque he got from the kitchen? A-maz-ing! It was fresh and not like sometimes you feel like you're getting a few days old soup when it's really thick; and it was so delicious!

For dinner I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and my husband ordered fish and chips. The portions were really generous and the food tasted great. I'm really happy to see that Jaker's has moved to hand-cut fries and Jenny told me that they've started hand-dipping their chicken strips instead of using the frozen ones. This is a step up for sure!

Jaker's is a great place to visit whether you're stopping in for happy hour drinks after work or you want a full dinner for date night. It's definitely one of our favorite spots in Meridian.

The fresh scones and honey butter are a great way to start off your lunch or dinner. I have personally enjoyed a variety of the menu options at both lunch and dinner. My personal favorites for lunch are the sirloin burgers or the BLT sandwich with avocado. For dinner I recommend the prime rib, which is always a treat. The Chicken a la Jaker's is another great option that features a breaded chicken breast topped with bearnaise sauce, crab meat and asparagus spears served atop a bed of linguini noodles.

The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere. The staff members are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about menu options and can offer great suggestions. The restaurant is conveniently located in Meridian right off Eagle Road between Fairview Avenue and Franklin.
