Sovereign Grace Bible Church is a small, independent congregation following old-school Presbyterian and Reformed traditions. The heart and focus of the preaching and teaching is to reveal Christ Jesus in all of Scripture. They take the Bible very seriously, and are firmly devoted to salvation by faith alone through the work and shed blood of Jesus Christ.

I attended Sovereign Grace when I lived in Idaho, and I miss the pastors very much. Very gracious and Christ centered, while at the same time not sugar-coating what the Bible has to say.

The church sings out of the old blue "Trinity Hymnal" and the split-leaf Irish Presbyterian Psalter. The Psalter can be a little confusing to those who haven't encountered it before, but it is well worth the slight 'learning curve.' Singing the Word of God in this way has become a great blessing in my personal spiritual and devotional life.

In a world where many churches try to be as contemporary and "relevant" as possible, it felt good to find a church that stood by the timeless teachings of the Gospel and still loved their hymnals.

I would recommend this church to anyone looking for solid Christ-centered preaching, approachable and honest pastors, and a more traditional evangelical Protestant worship service.
