SmartMomma Baby Gear & Gifts

I went there after the recommendation of someone I met while shopping in another store. I've been wanting to try on an Ergo and a Beco Baby Carrier and heard they had "floor models" that you can try on, etc.

The owner and her staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond my expectations with helping me try them on the various carriers, answering my questions, etc.

They have other carriers as well, high end strollers, some boutique clothing, baby furniture and more!

My eldest daughter played in the little play area they have there and didn't make a peep while my little one and I tried on the carriers. My only complaint is there was no place available to nurse my baby, but they said they are hoping to fix that soon.

This is a great store that could stand to expand. They carry a wonderful selection of baby and toddler gear and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Its great for gifts too!

From our first visit into Smart Momma my husband and I were impressed with the friendly service and professional manner of Heather. We appreciated the amount of knowledge she had about the products she carried and her willingness to help us make an informed decision on our larger purchases without sensing any pressure. She offered one-on-one consultations unlike you would receive at any baby superstore which made the experience very personal. She carries a wide selection of products and seems to really stay on top of the up and coming products - bringing them into Raleigh at good prices. We have already recommended Smart Momma to our friends who are expecting trusting they will receive the same high quality service. A great experience and everything we have bought from Smart Momma has been delivered in a timely manner and has been great quality. We will definitely go back again!

My husband and I are expecting our first child soon. We were overwhelmed at the array of options available in car seats, cribs, strollers, etc. The owner of SmartMomma was extremely helpful in guiding us to the products that would best serve our needs. She was also very friendly and professional, and her products are very competitively priced. However, I do think they have some issues managing deliveries of some items. We put in an order for a crib and were told that it would take between 2-4 weeks to arrive. We planned the remodel of our nursery to coordinate with those delivery times. However, a little over a week later, we received a call that our crib was in. To make matters worse, we were informed that the warehouse would only hold the items for 10 days. Since the nursery wasn't ready yet, I asked SmartMomma if we could delay the delivery. Many miscommunications later, we had the crib delivered before construction was completed, a full MONTH after the crib first arrived in the warehouse. Had we been told of the 10 day limit upfront, we would've planned accordingly and saved a lot of headache and time. That being said, the owner is very kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the products--just double check the delivery estimates of furniture and plan accordingly.

This is a new store and breath of fresh air! I loved the selection and variety of items they have on hand. I found items here that I didn't know even existed and to the other extreme of finding the favorite "boo boo bunny" from when our kids where little. The owner, Heather, is sweet and very helpful. Whether you are looking for something for a gift or you have little ones of your own - I totally suggest you stop and check it out.
