This bar used to be a brothel!
Very acommodating staff and friendly patrons.
Has neighborhood bar feel.
You enter through the hotel if the gates are locked late night.
A must see if visiting N.O. and if you respect their heritage.
If the idea of a former brothel is threatening to you, go somewhere else.

This is a very cool bar. Lay out is great and the "sporting house" feel is a step back in time. Good drinks, friendly, intimate atmosphere. Rarely racous, definately romantic. Not the typical Bourbon St. craziness. Highly recommend this place.

This is the best kept secret in the French Quarter. Hotel guests make use of this historic bar that boasts decor from its brothel days of old, but locals make it home. Bartender Geoffrey is interesting and energetic, and it's seldom packed. Very laid back, many service industry workers and musicians frequent the place, and I think we all secretly want to keep it to ourselves so it doesn't become one of those touristy, pricey Bourbon Street type places. This place is classy without being pretentious. It's like stepping back in time.

This is a fairly small but interesting bar to visit. Low Happy hour prices. Staff and patrons are friendly, many repeat visitors. Occassional spontaneous music is welcomed.

This bar is a local and visitor's gem tucked into the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. Hear the latest gossip, check with the bartender on other out of the way bars. Check out the courtyard pool!
