This to forewarn any parent looking into home daycares in the area. We should have had our first hint when we first met the owner, Sondra. She was unprofessional. Her paperwork was terrible. There were misspelled words throughout the entire thing. It had been printed on a home computer in poor quality. I feel that if you are going to run a business, it should at least be professional on paper. We began taking our child there. She was a very outgoing, spunky child until I noticed her becoming withdrawn after a few weeks of attending Agape Day Care. She had attended other daycares previous to this one. The owner said she would potty train her for an extra $25 per week. We were paying $125 total for each week. She left her on the toilet for more than half an hour and let her even fall asleep on the toilet so that she would p00p. To this day, 6 months later, she is terrified to p00p on the toilet. A friend picked up our child to witness Sondra stomping her foot and yelling at our child for p00ping her pants. My child would lower her head when disciplined; she became a very different child. Then came tax time. She wrote our receipt with much hesitancy for two full weeks less than we had paid. She said it was because we broke contract. In actuality, she had broken contract by not keeping to her business hours and increasing the $125 to a regular rate a few weeks into keeping our child. This breach of contract along with the suspected abuse is why we pulled our child out. Again with unprofessionalism, when she wrote our tax receipt, she completely misspelled our child's name in addition to leaving off a hefty amount of which we have cancelled checks with her signature to counter.
