I will never order from Elisa Ilana again. I got a new Pandora bracelet, so I was so excited to order a couple new charms. I went online and searched "Pandora retailers" and found Elisa Ilana. It looked like a legit company and I liked their collection. However, their customer service is horrible. They offer free shipping, but you can pay extra for insurance (which I did), so I assumed my order would arrive safely. And if it didn't, I assumed the insurance would cover it. However, they fail to note that the insurance is "private," which means they can deny your claim if they want. My order was lost somewhere along the way. The post office mistakenly scanned it as delivered, without actually delivering it to me. The post office admitted it shouldn't have been scanned on Saturday (since it is impossible to deliver on Saturdays to my office), and they said that since I had insurance (which is what I thought was the case), I can request the sender to put in a claim since it is lost. Now the NYC post office isn't the most reliable. It is easy for things to get lost. But they admitted that. So I thought, good thing I paid extra for insurance! However, when i called the Elisa Ilana customer service (three days in a row until a manager finally answered), I was informed that the insurance is private, and since it was scanned as delivered, they refuse to cover it. If they actually got the insurance through the post office like I had thought, it would have been covered. However, since they send it the cheapest possible way (which is why they offer free shipping) and provide their own "insurance," they do not have to reimburse you if the post office makes a mistake. On top of their refusal to honor the "insurance," they were incredibly rude about it. I would advise you to find another Pandora retailer to do your business with. I will certainly never do business with Elisa Ilana again.
