Eggs in the City is a creatively envisioned and excellently executed casual dining experience! The menu has something for everyone, from luxurious Eggs Benedict to simple scrambles and REAL Corned Beef Hash!

If you are in Salt Lake and looking for somewhere to soak in some local ambiance and GREAT food Eggs in the City is NOT TO BE MISSED!

I would be remiss if I did not mention the charming owner, Heather. She welcomes you like family and clearly loves what she does. Her passion for fine food and great service are apparent in everything the do!

I love their breakfasts and the Mexican Chicken Salad for lunch. I've never had a bad meal here and I've tried a lot of their items. The service is really good. I just wish so many other people didn't like it as well, as the wait can be long at busy times! Neighborhood people walk over and leave the strollers and the dogs outside - a cozy atmosphere.

The food was absolutely horrible. I got the eggd flourentine (which is my fav breakfast food) and my wife got the mama burrito. I was extremy disappointed in the food. Their hollandaise sauce didn't taste like any kind I've ever had. I, in all honesty, could have found trash from a garbage that tasted better. My wife's burrito was very bland and unappetizing. We will never be eating here again. The only saving grace was the service. Our waiter was perfect, handlebar mustache and all :) There was another young lady with a bunch of old school tattoos. She was extremely nice and very attentive even though we weren't her table. Kudos to those two. In closure, I will not be coming back and I wouldn't recommend Eggs In The City to my worst enemy.

eggs in the city is the best breakfast in town. The service is amazing, and i felt so welcomed by the owner and waitresses. it's not every day that you have such great service. i would reccomend this so anyone that likes to wake up on a saturday morning and eat a fulfilling breakfast. the bus boy that was wearing the highland high school attire was so great, and did a great job and was so nice. It's good to know that even the worker that doesn't associate with customers as much is also trained to be so nice to the customers. I ordered the meat lovers skillet. if you are a man, you need to try this out. it is scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese, and sausage. i also was supplied with orange juice, which was always kept full. the service was great, even on a saturday when i went. i do warn you that the place is pretty busy on the weekends, but even with the hectic environment, the service is still great, and the employees handle it well. i will come back to eggs in the city, and i reccomend it as the best breakfast food in the valley

The food is inconsistent, depending on the cook.. and the quality of meat. At times it's so good, but other times the meat's so chewy I can't eat. Same thing with the potato. Overall, a bit more expensive than other breakfast joints in SLC - catering for the yuppies, I guess.

After waiting 15 minutes to get seated on a Wednesday, while looking at 4 empty tables, we waited another 10 minutes for water, and good 15 more to order. I swear I saw the brunette waitress drop silverware on the floor, pick it back up and set it on an open table, the place seemed like a greasy mess with not the best food but, but defiantly the worst service I have ever had, I was to scared to eat my food..... who knew what else had been dropped and put back on the plate.

I love the food and the great location, but the best part is the service. When I drag myself out of bed its nice to see friendly faces in a good mood who give great service. The girls that are usually there are so great. They always have a smile and don't just say "how's the food" as they walk by, but they actually want to know how the food and everything is. They're really good about making sure your food is just right, and if its not, getting it right. They give great recommendations if you're having a hard time choosing, and the best part for me...my water glass is always full. They are also willing to customize your food to whatever diet you might be on at the time... no carbs, all carbs, whatever! They have the best french toast in the city. Its the east coast version, which is hard to come by. Its also fun to learn about all the cool stuff around the restaurant, and the artwork is amazing. If your up for good food with amazing service, you have to check it out.

We were recently in SLC for 2 weeks. We were intrigued by the name as we drove by and decided to come back and check it out. We did so 4 times in the 2 weeks we were in town! Their biscuits and gravy are awesome - served with 2 eggs cooked to order that are put on top of the biscuits with cheese and then all are smothered in the wonderful gravy with chunks of sausage. Their eggs benedict is very good, too. Service is very friendly and fast. Atmosphere of eating in a converted garage is cool - nice touch to have the garage doors open to the outside seating area.

Went for lunch today. The atmosphere was very sunny and indoor/outdoor seating. The menu offers breakfast (omelets, breakfast burritos, I noticed biscuits & gravy, but did not try). Had a veggie sandwich; it was pretty good, better than most, but not the best. Wasn't impressed with the bread. Breakfast potatoes were also above average, some crispy, some potatoey. Boyfriend had a burger, wasn't too big and the bread was soft (I have no opinions on that one, just an observation.) I will definitely try a Saturday/Sunday brunch. Worth going back.

i had the eggs florentine and the husband had the meat lover's special. the hollandaise on the eggs could have used some lemon and a touch of curry in it but at least it was a real sauce because it started to separate as i was almost done eating. the sausage in the meat lover's was differently spiced than one would expect but very good. the place was warm on the first 80+ day in the valley but otherwise comfy and welcoming. not sure i would want to eat there when it was super hot weather. we were seating in a primo spot outside & it was lovely. as a major side note: i know the folks in the neighgorhood hate this place because it's popular and parking overflows into the neighborhood for a few houses in either direction. emigration market is kitty corner from the restaurant and jolley'spharmacy just to the south. it might explain why there are so many houses in the area for sale. it's no reason to be rude though. not sure why they moved there in the 1st place if they didn't want to be able to be within walking distance to these amenities. the neighbors on the side street to the northeast were very rude to me. sorry i walked on the grass at the treeline bordering the street - don't block the sidewalk so people can use it [you, your wife, your exceedling cute child who you were oohhing and ahhing over as he tried to walk and did a face plant on the cement, along with another couple], put a sign up asking people to please not walk on the grass because you just put sod down [it wasn't obvious at all], or don't yell at people to get off the lush grass next to the street/parking. my choice was to walk in the street on the grass bordering it.

Welcome To Eggs In The City: HOURSE ARE 7AM to 2PM Seven Days a week. I have emailed city search to no avail.

Hi I am Jessa and I am a server at Eggs. I thought I would hop online and give you some suggestions and perks about Eggs In The City. We have done a lot of updating on our menu and restaurant and would love to have you stop in.

What are you known for you might ask? Well.... We are known for a few great items that you may have just not tried when coming in before. Ask for one of our Breakfast Burritos smothered in Jose's homemade chile verde. It is yummy. Also our french toast is to die for. We call it Diablos French Toast cause it is sinful. It is marinated in maple syrup and once it hits the grill it carmilizes the french toast. Also, if you don't like our potatoes which we are always tring to improve feel free to sub them for a slice of this wonderful french toast.

Also the Greek Skillet is new to Eggs and is deeelicious. It is a bed of potatoes grilled with green peppers, onions, spinach, feta, chedder and avo- It comes with two eggs and tortillas or toast to wrap it all up in.
Our Salads are fresh and wonderful and our Beef Philly and PotRoast Tacos(Ask when coming in..its a chef specialty) will knock your socks off and will be the best you will ever have. We also serve hot and fresh local roasted MillCreek Coffee.

After reading some of the reviews I was sad to hear that food had been coming out hap-hazzardly. We have a head chef that has worked out the kinks of that from last fall. We hope you will give us another try. Also, in regards to being out of food. We get so busy on the weekends that we actually RUN out of food. We have also changed our food order to comply and it has seemed to work out nicely. Come in and speak with me and I will make your stay a pleasant one.

Hope I have given some helpful tips.

Come and see the crew down at Eggs In The City and we will treat you like family.

I basically wanted a bowl of oatmeal with fruit on top and for $6.50 they gave me the "creme brulee". a small bowl of oatmeal with some blueberries, banana, pecans and brown sugar. i asked for the pecans on the side and they tried to charge me for a side order of pecans. needless to say, i had a bad first visit to the restaurant. the egg dishes looked good and seemed to be worth their price, but don't come here expecting flexibility when ordering or universally reasonable menu prices.

Fast seating, good food if you can get it. Service tends to parcel out food orders, one person at the table at a time. It has been as long as ten minutes between delivery, the idea is to eat together. This has happened several times. Only been for breakfast.

I ate here for the first time with some co-workers based on a "rave" of a recommendation from a friend, that claimed it to have the best breakfast burrito in town. The menu at first glance looks like any menu from any diner in any town. They have burritos, huevos rancheros, omelets, waffles, pancakes, french dip, blah, blah, blah, blah. But the dishes when plated are anything but traditional. The cornbeef has isn't mashed with small potatoes. It's huge cubes of cornbeef with huge diced potatoes. The French dip is stacked about a mile high. The breakfast burrito is basically anything you can imagine putting in an omelet and then rolled into a flower tortilla. Having said all that, the bottom line is the food is good... but not great. There isn't one thing on the menu that I would say if you are going to "Eggs" you have to get this. The decor and the ambiance are more of an attraction than the food. The people are nice and jovial to "regulars" and apathetic to others. The cooks work in an area no bigger than a jail cell so when busy plates are served as they come out. So it's not uncommon to get your food 20 mins before or after others at your table.

My boyfriend and I went to Eggs in the City because our friend had suggested it. The food was boring, and we had to order our food three times because they were out of everything. They were out of egg whites, eggs Florentine, sausage, bacon, Caesar salad, and who knows what else. My food came out an hour before my boyfriends did, and by the time his finally came out I had already finished my meal. The server was apathetic, and acted like she was doing us a favor when she comped our breakfast. I will not be returning to that overly pretentious cafe. They only serve mediocre food, and they don?t even have an espresso machine. Don't go there unless you like rude service, bad food, and no options, because they'll be out of whatever you want.

Service was great. Staff was friendly. The potatos were very good but the breakfast burrito was merely scrambled eggs in a flour tortilla with a little cheese sprinkled on top. No peppers, no beans, no cilantro, no meat, and no flavor. Nothing to recommend it. The salsa was very weak as well.

Just went there this morning for breakfast with my 20 month old son. The staff was very friendly and helpful as I wanted to change where they seated me to accomodate for a high-chair for my son. The food is excellent! Well, I've only tired the breakfast burrito and I think it is the best breakfast burrito anywhere, very delicious and the potatoes that came with it were excellent, as well! My sometimes picky son also thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast, he devoured his scrambled eggs and a side of yogurt. The price was very reasonable and I found the service to be quick and attentive. They brought out my beverage immediately, the meal didn't take long to prepare, and the check was available before I was finished eating. Great service, great place!

Just looking at the vivid yolk-yellow color of the outside of the garage-turned-restaurant gets your day started! And if that doesn't, the coffee will-- not for the weak of heart, it is brewed strong all day long-- truly satisfying. It goes down smooth, and has just the right snap. Two items I would recommend-- the breakfast burrito, bacon inside, smothered with chef Manny's superb chile verde; also the breakfast brule-- Irish oatmeal with caramelized brown sugar on top, which I had topped with nuts, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Very good meals. Also, the summer heat problem has been fixed-- the owners installed a shade on the patio with light misters around the perimeter to create cool comfort. The business of the restaurant is forgiveable, as the food is great. Don't complain that your check took too long, though, as you are supposed to pay at the register!

Just looking at the vivid yolk-yellow color of the outside of the garage-turned-restaurant gets your day started! Pros: Breakfast, Coffee

Cons: Wait--forgiveable

.

It's cute and quaint, it seems a little slow to only one old cash register running when you are kind of in a hurry for breakfast. We had to wait a little while for someone to ring us up. (Longer than you wait at Denny's let's say) Bad comparison, I know I just would really like to be able to see this become no nonsense breakfast in case you want to pick something up on your way to work. Great Idea-Food is something else!

I just made it back to eggs after being out of town for while, IT WAS JUST AS GOOD AS I LEFT IT. I love the people, the food and the charm of the place the more and more I go there. It really says something to me about a restaurant that can maintain its buzz.. Keep it up eggs I love your place!!!!!

Pros: great service, good food , cool concept

I ate here in the summer and almost passed out with the heat! The garage-turned-restaurant is quaint but the poor venilation and summer heat about gave me heat stroke. The food, while prepared quickly, didn't taste like much. The coffee was downright funky - someone said it is Canadian and some kind of unusual blend. Darn right. The potatoes had tons of seasoning on them and I picked at my food. The service was spotty & we had to beg for our check...I think I'll stick to places with good air conditioning, good coffee and consistent service.
