I dropped off a dress to be taken in a size at the waist. It wasn't exactly a simple job (otherwise I would have done it myself) due to the ribs sewn into the material needed to align at the seams. The dress fit and looked significantly better before the alterations - now the ribs do not align and look ridiculous, she also unnecessarily took it in at the hips so the dress *clings" so tightly to my butt that it rides up to mid thigh as I walk causing terrible bunching at the waist. In general, the dress went from being a knee length classy cocktail dress to something more appropriate to stand on the street corner. I checked to see if I could let the seams back out myself but too much of the fabric has been cut away. I do not typically write poor reviews - as I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt - but after I expressed my disappoint she was incredibly rude. Although she did offer to try to fix the alterations I needed the dress for the next day and I do not live in the area so I do not have the time to have her work corrected (she had the dress for 15 days). I paid her half of the amount she estimated - which I felt was fair due - after all the dress is no longer wearable by me. She proceeded to follow me into the hall of the building screaming at me and telling me I was a bad person and would have a bad life. And now I am left without something to wear tonight.

Pros: none

Cons: terrible work, expensive, rude and slow

I visited this lady several times to alter my wedding dress. She didn't pin the dress to decide how much to take in, but marked it with chalk. When I went back to collect it, I was horrified as it has been taken in far too much! 4" total. Like many brides I had lost weight & was ligther than when I first went in (a size 4), but the dress would not do up. The lady accused me of having a different bra & that is why it wouldn't fit. Which was not the case. She asked me to remove it, then forced the dress up, so all the skin on my back was squashed & I could hardly breathe. I was on my own & couldn't see in her tiny mirror what it looked like. I was so upset I just left to try it on again at home & decide what to do. paid her nearly $100 for the terrible work & left.

I spent most of the evening in tears at my runied dress. She had also put a bustle in which was terrible. Due to the weight of the dress the lining pulled through the hole in the skirt & stuck out, looking awful. Also where she had taken 4" in at the top of the dress & none at the waist the proprtions of the dress looked wrong. I decided to go back the next day with a friend.

Upon returning to the shop the lady was VERY RUDE. She rolled her eyes and huffed, & asked why I was back. I explained how I felt & asked if she could correct the dress. She was very angry & asked why I had not told her the day before. She advised me not to take-out the consticting top, incase it fell down!
So I asked if she could fix it by perhaps taking in some of the waist to re-align the proprtions & fix the bustle. She agreed to fix the dress, but at further cost (despite it being her errors).

After further thought , I decided to go back the following day to ask her to also let out an inch at the top so I could breathe & feel more comfortable. I was horrified by her behaviour. SHE SHOUTED at me, was RUDE & ABUSIVE , & told me she would charge me more again.

NEVER VISIT THIS LADY! SHE IS AWFUL!
