A friend of mine recommended Arnoldson Plumbing to do a job for me. I called them and was able to get a plumber out that day. They services my home and was very clean and professional. The did an awesome job and I completely trust them.

I bought a home and had some plumbing repairs needed. The sellers were paying for most of the repairs and chose the plumber, but I also had them do a small job in replacing the manifold and shower guts for one bath. I scheduled an appointment at 12pm to do the repairs which they estimated would take 2-3 hours. The estimated time on my side was 1 hour.

After waiting for an hour and a half for them to arrive, I called them up and the gal that answers the phones put me on hold and called the plumber directly to see his status. She stated that they were just wrapping up a job and would be on their way in a few. After ANOTHER hour and a half (3 hours late) I called back. The same lady put me on hold and called them. Apparently they were NOW on their way. 20 minutes later they arrived. This is now the time I had planned on being back at work so I let my work I would not be back in.

They arrived and went to work. 3 hours later they were done and on their way after replacing two shower manifolds and a shower drain seal. On a side note for the basement shower drain seal it took them over two weeks to get 'the part'. A call to Standard Plumbing and I was told they have the part. I was not paying for those repairs so I can only complain about the time it took them to get the part.

I have since inspected their work and found it to be ok, but not that great. The plumbing itself was in good order, but the attention to detail was very poor. The shower handles and the spouts were not leveled properly and to the eye you can see they are crooked. The shower head was never sealed and siliconed to the shower wall and thus the shower head ring just hangs on the pipe loosely.

The work was done in early August. Since then, I had called to speak with Troy, the owner of the company on several occasions. I left messages on their answering machine and left messages with the lady that answers the phone to have Troy call me ASAP as I wanted to discuss the work that was done and the fact that his plumbers were almost 3 and half hours late.

I explained the situation to the lady that answers the phone as this. First that it is unacceptable to be over three hours late to an appointment. Secondly they never called to let me know they were running behind, I had to call them twice to find out the status. I told her I would like to discuss rework or a discount on the bill. She stated she would have Troy call me.

They had sent a final notice that the bill should be paid by Nov 9th. When I received that notice I again called and left 2 voicemails and a message with the lady answering the phones. She said she would have Troy call me. I received no call.

Today, someone different than the regular lady answered the phone and I asked for Troy. He was not available and she asked to take a message. I asked her if he would get the message and return my call because I had been trying to reach Troy for over the past 2 months without a call back. She said she would get in touch with him and have him call. About 15 minutes later I received a call from Troy. I explained again, the situation and how I had taken extra time off work because of his plumbers being extremely late and about the poor work performed, I felt that he should work with me on discounting the bill. He said that he could not discount it below the hour billed. He said his hands were tied. I stated that as the owner of the company, he had the capability to work something out. He stated he would not work with me and that the bill would not get changed from the hour he billed and that I could choose to pay, or not pay and he would take me to court.

This company has the worst customer service I have dealt with in a long time. As the owner, Troy should have better customer service skills and be more willing to work with customers to make them happy, rather than pissed off and writing this type of review for his company.

I will not recommend this company to anyone.

EDIT: As of Feb. 22 I have called and spoken with Troy again in regards to this to avoid going to court. He was apologetic about the entire situation, the phone call and the way it was handled by himself and others in his company. I requested that he personally come take care of the issues at my house and he did so. We have settled this out of court and I consider the case resolved. Troy stated that he has made changes in his company so that this situation does not happen again.

I called to schedule an appointment to get some plumbing done and it was an emergency. They had someone out within the hour. They were very professional, competent, well kept plumbers. This could of been a big issue but they made my experience a lot less troublesome. I would highly recommend them again!!

When looking on-line for plumbing services, I read the first review for Arnoldson Plumbing. Had a small project. Called and got great service for the small project. Could tell that the plumber was detail oriented and caring about the service he provided. Called for a second larger project and was extremely happy with that as well. You cannot go wrong with this company.

16 years ago, I had a "friend" plumber give me a quote ($800.00) for a new water heater he said I needed. After he stood me up the second time in two weeks, I opened the phone book and blindly called a local plumber that just happned to be Clair Arnoldson. Clair came out the same day and fixed the valve on the water heater. I not only saved $800.00 that day, but 5 years later, when I really did need a new water heater, He charged me $300.00 for it. Yes, he does charge $60.00 an hour labor, I always know he will not overcharge me for the work. I recently called him out to clear a clogged drain. His equipment would not reach the clog. He did not charge me for the hour he spend trying to clear it and recommended a company that could do it for the same price. Last year I did need to have re-do a kitchen faucett problem, but he came right out and did not charge me any additional $. You can see that not everything always turns out as I hoped, but he always helped me solved the problem. I have been a customer since 1991.
