A glowing recommendation from a friend brought myself and a group of our friends (12 total) to Roma Ristorante tonight for a pre-Valentines group date. The service was pitiable from the get-go. It took between 15-20 minutes to get glasses

Having a hankering for Italian food, the family decided on Roma. It was local, casual and reasonably priced. Walking in, we were hit with the same arches, and deco of any Italian restaurant that is trying to look upscale, but keep the

We have been going here for many years and the food is excellent, they recently added some new dishes to thier menu....Delicious!!! Although my favorite is still the Lamb, or sometimes the Scarporellio ( no way I spelled that right) it is an amazing mix of sausage and chicken in a marinara sauce, my wife loves the Pork Val D' Aosta.

His soup is unbelievable. For appetizers you have to try the Mussles Bianca only served when they can get them fresh, they melt in your mouth. For dessert if you are lucky try the limon cella cake also amazing.

You will not be disapointed with a visit to Roma's in fact if you pass it up you will be doing yourself a great disservice.

Well, what can I say... There was a pubic hair in my ravioli. My husband and I tried this place out for our anniversary when they were in their old location. This was probably around 4 years ago. Needless to say I was not impressed with the pubic hair in my ravioli. I was even less impressed when I was told "this doesn't happen here" and the staff basically insinuated we had planted it there for a freebie. We weren't after a freebie, in fact, we didn't even ask to have it taken off the check. They did replace the dish but that was it. No sorry, nothing. We paid for the entire meal. The way they were acting, I was surprised I wasn't charged for the first dish as well as the replacement dish. My mom mentioned she had seen their new location and suggested we try it for lunch. No Way! I'm never going back again. I've never been so grossed out before.

Pros: Food (minus hair) was ok

Cons: pubic hair in food, rude staff

I definitely will be back again. I was very impressed with the flavor and food. I had been interested in trying this restaurant, but was weary since some reviews weren't good. Also, the location is a little misleading since it is in a strip mall with vacant buildings and stores nearby. Don't let the location and outside appearance scare you away. Great food, nice wait staff and good service - give it a try.

I have enjoyed many meals at Roma's for years, consistently great food always cooked by the chef-owner, Jaelko, Aida presides over the dining room and always has good wine suggestions, if you want people who are passionnte about food, try Romas's, they just had a 6 course wine tasting program that was outstanding!

It's a shame when people who really know nothing about fine restaurants write a bad review to trash a really special place. We discovered Roma last year and it is one of our favorites.
Generous portions of delicious food made from the freshest ingredients are not always easy to find here in the land of overpriced Chain restaurants that serve you from the back of a Food Service truck.
Thanks to ROMA for bringing fine food to this part of town!

decor and atmosphere try to match Fazoli's Italian fast food, kitsch, same with food but everything is overpriced, bad wine but expensive , owner can work on pirate ship, I expect family owned restaurant with minimum O.K food but this is worst than any fast food with some fancy Italian named specials, nobody even know any Italian word, my family come from Italy and this is embarasment

We stumbled upon Roma's several years ago in their old location on 3300 South and were thrilled with our find. The owners, Aida and LJ, are very warm and welcoming and such great cooks! We're even happier with their new location near Fort Union as it is much closer to us and we can go more often. The soups are rustic and so flavorfull. The spinach potato is our favorite. Everything is made there from scratch, including the bread and desserts. For dinner you are started with the best bruschetta ever. The spinach salad is the best we have ever had, as is the Mediterranean Salad, and the entree's are divine. The desserts are also wonderful, and every plate that comes out is a picture perfect presentation. Almost too pretty to eat. The service and staff are impeccable. Very nice relaxing atmosphere. You will love this restaurant and return often!
