Did a pretty good job. Everything was great except I think they forgot about me under the dryer. I think I was under it way too long.

Tuan is a genious and an artist. I would and have recommend him and Studio h2o to anyone. Absolutely the best haircut and highlights I've had.

I have been going to Studio H2O for close to a year now and I love it! I haven't been disappointed yet and that is saying a lot because I am a very picky and indecisive person when it comes to my hair and styling it. The salon is very professional and hip and Cynthia always lets me know about the latest and greatest with products and trends. She has true talent and always takes her time when cutting and styling my hair and has good suggestions as well (again, I'm very indecisive).

Seriously if I could post pictures here I would, I cut all of my long hair off over the course of the year but every cut (about 5) was a very stylish and unique look that didn't disappoint in the least. My now short hair is something that I thought I wouldn't want before, but I couldn't see myself any other way now.

This staff and salon in general are great. I am thankful that I finally found someone that I am confident in taking care of my hair needs. No more days of dreading going to the salon, Studio H2O salon is legit!

MOST UNPLEASANT SALON EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! The 'stylist' acted bored when I explained the cut I wanted, took the cut in a completely different direction and when I tried to re-explain what I actually wanted she made rude, condescending comments and changed nothing. It actually reached a point of discomfort where I felt I need to walk out, walk out with a terrible, half-done haircut! The salon must have a poor reputation because at 5pm on a Friday there were enough other stylists standing around to gather at the counter and watch. When I contacted the owner that day to explain the situation, I asked him to fix it or refund the cost of the appointment. He did nothing. This is absolutely not a salon I would waste my time on, unless you have the time and funds to get it repaired the next day. I have no understanding what the situation was with the 'stylist' to justify her behavior, but a business that puts NO value in customer satisfaction is pathetic.

I would not recommend this salon for a pedicure. More expensive than the $25 pedicure mills, with lower quality. The pedicure was $40 and only lasted 15 - 20 minutes at the most, virtually no work on callouses and very minimal massage.

I can't say enough about Tuan and his wife. They are great people. Being blonde I have been to many of the so called ""high end"" salons here in Salt Lake and found they can't get it right when it comes to blondes. Tuan took the time to hear about my nightmare stories and made sure I was happy with my results. HELLO, I NOW ROCK! There is one thing I noticed that stands out even above the awesome talent and that is they care about their clients. I was a brand new client and they made me feel right at home. They worked me in for a last minute appt and I found out that Tuan stays late to make sure his clients get taken care of. They care, tell them your concerns and they will help to address them. THANK YOU TUAN AND STUDIO H2O

I have been going hear for years and can't recommend Lynn enough. She is wonderful. She seems to really understand the type of style/cut that will work for you and your personality or lifestyle and just gives you a wonderful cut. Her coloring is great also. \n\nThe only downside is the cost. BUT, I made the mistake recently of going elsewhere due to the cost, and I ended up with the worst cut ever. I saved some money but it will be about a year before Lynn has me looking the way she did before. I highly, highly, highly recommend spending a little extra money to look your best. Lynn and Salon H2O are worth it!!\n\nAlso, the service is really good. They are always on time, and have only been running late once in the 6 years I have been going there, and they called me to tell me Lynn was running 20 minutes late.

I found this place on a last minute whim. My stylist cancelled on me last minute, and I needed to get my hair done before I left on vacation the next day! I work downtown at the Gateway Mall so I just called this salon because it was close. I called at noon and was able to get an appointment that day at 5PM. FEW!!! Now, the scary part of changing hairstylists after going to the same one for 5 years.....I was nervous and terrified of getting a bad cut before a vacation.....turns out....I SCORED WITH AN AMAZINGLY CUTE NEW HAIRDO!\nMaribel...my new stylist....was awesome. She took lots of time figuring out my hair type, what I wanted color wise and cute wise and listened to everything I said. She figured out my hair color with a formula I brought in, she gave me a to die for head massage and spent so much time making sure my cut was even. I love that they use Kerastase products!!\nNeedless to say, I have already been back to see Maribel twice....super happy with the switch!

I wanted to make a drastic change to my hair style and didn't know where to go; I wanted to try a pixie cut. I'm not a Utah native, and I've only gotten major hair changes done at a place in Clearfield, UT on the recommendation of my in-laws. Because I live in Salt Lake City, that salon was out of the question. I chose this one from a short list, and I am so glad I did. The lady on the phone was courteous and helpful with booking my appointment for later that evening. I love the location: in the Gateway Mall next to Tucanos and near the movie theatre. When we got there, we were greeted and lead to the centre of the establishment. While this confused me at first, I found it interesting that their waiting area is in the middle of the salon instead of the front. I was called to a station rather quickly, gave a few pictures to my stylist (Cynthia) for ideas, and then let her have at it. I asked if she could explain what she was doing as she did it, and she did. I wanted to know how to style my new hair, and she explained that as well. Cynthia was amazing, and I love my new hair. I will definitely be using Studio H2O again.

I haven't had a hair cut in some time because I wasn't happy with present salon and am always afraid of trying someone new. it is simply great! I was so comfortable and they knew exactly what to do. I mostly relied on his expertise and left with a great hair cut and color. I will see you again in 5-6 weeks. \r\n\r\n

Great Staff and Place!!! Simply designed, they treat you well, waits aren't very long, Vee does awesome pedis/manis, he gives great advice about colors, nail styles, etc...he has saved me from choosing colors that would not look good on me. I walk in and I don't even have to tell them what service I want now, that is how well they know their return customers. Pedis last a long time and the new Shellac nail polish is great, because I am murder on regular polish, within a day it would be off, but the Shellac stays on for several weeks and still looks new. I have sent my friends and family to Vee and his fellow nail techs and will continue to do so, they have all been pleased with the customer service and price.

I am way to hard on my hands, I have a hard time keeping acrylic nails on. With in a few days to a week they start to lift and fall off. I had some friends go to Studio H2O. One of my friends talked to one of the nail techs Deena about how hard I am on my hands. Deena told my friend to bring me in and she could put a full set for me and to give it one more try. I am happy to say that with Deenas help I have had acrylics on for the last 8 months!!! Every time I would get my nails done Deena would have great ideas as far as nail designs and nail color. Every time I would go in to get my nails done I could always make my next apt. I have brought friends to get their nails done by V or Deena we always have a good time and the staff is always friendly. I recommend studio H2O, Deena and V to all my friends and co-workers. It s Pampering for you that is worth the money and the time.

I have had my nails done at H2O for over a year now. Kim always does a great job. Hayley also does good work. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Those massage chairs at the pedicure stations are fabulous and so are the pedicures! I think the price is reasonable and the atmosphere is great. Go try it out!

I get my nails done at Studio H20. Deena does the best job, My nails always look natural. I am pretty picky. I can't stand the acrylic nails because they are so thick. This is the first place where I get my nails thin and natural ... AND they don't break. It is aways a relaxing experience.

After being referred to this salon by a friend, I called earlier on in the day to make sure they accepted walk-ins for nails and asked how much it would cost for full acrylic sets. I was told $35, which excited me because I thought I was going to a nicer salon and getting a really good deal. I went with my friend after work to the salon and walked in. The girl at reception looked surprised and perplexed that we were there and I had to explain to her that we were walk-ins for nails and that we wanted full acrylic sets. She then told us that the next available time was at later on, and for a minute I thought we would have to leave, but she then quickly shuffled us to the waiting area. I was glad that they got us in so quickly, but after we walked back to the nail area I realized that my friend was going to have to wait for me to finish before she was going to get serviced. This was acceptable because we had time to gab and catch up, except that halfway through my nails being finished the girl that was doing my nails looked over to her fellow nail specialist and asked if she would start on my friend. To which the second nail technician responded that she didnt want to and when the first girl asked why, the second girl complained of a headache. I honestly thought that the my nail technician was trying to get my friend in faster, until the two nail technicians stepped away for a brief moment and my friend informed me that she would not be getting her nails done today because she wasnt going to spend her hard-earned money on someone that didnt want to do her nails. She felt angry that they had argued right in front of her about who would do her nails, neither one of them wanting to. When my nails were finished we made our excuses and headed for the door, lead by my nail technician. I saw my technician whisper something so the receptionist, then the receptionist turned to me and informed me that my manicure was $45, ten dollars more than what I was originally told. Now, I think this may be because I got gel nails instead of acrylic (I dont get my nails done very often, so Im a little naive about this stuff), but I specifically asked if there was a price difference and was told no. Maybe my nail technician didnt know that I had already asked about the price. Maybe Im wrong, but needless to say neither my friend nor I will ever go to this salon again, nor will any of our friends. They have lost a good handful of customers probably for life. Bravo.

Studio H2O in the Gateway Mall is the best! Every time I walk in the door I am greeted as though I've been a customer for decades. I always request Cynthia as my stylist and have never once been dissapointed. She does excellent work and her scalp massages are spectacular. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I absolutely love coming to this salon! As soon as I walk in, I feel comfortable and everyone is very welcoming. Cynthia has given me the 2 best hair cuts I've ever had! She is truly amazing and somehow knows EXACTLY what I want. I have a hard time doing my own hair, but she offers tips and tricks and always steers me in the right direction.\r\nThis is definetely a place that everyone needs to check out. The location is prime, the services are excellent, and Cynthia is hands-down, my new favorite! You will leave this salon feeling fresh and on top of the world, like I do!

If, for some reason, you end up there do not Cynthia anywhere near your head.

I have been going to H20 since I moved here from NY two years ago and LOVE IT !! I was worried that I would not be able to find a place that can do Asian hair like my guy in NY until I stumbled upon Thida and everyone at H20 !! I have NEVER had a bad experience there with my haircuts or mani/pedis. Thida always recommends what color/cut/style I should get and it comes out beautiful everytime !! She also gave me a great 80's hairstyle for a party I was going to. It was awesome! Everyone there are always friendly and fun! I have recommended numerous friends/colleagues from NY to H2O and all enjoyed the experience there and love their haircuts!\r\nWhere else can you find a salon that makes you feel like you part of the family as soon as you walk in???!!!\r\nI HIGHLY recommend EVERYONE to go to H2O..you will not be let down!!! \r\nStudio H20 is the place to go get pampered and beautiful!!

\r\nStudio H20 is the place to go get pampered and beautiful!!

.

I ALWAYS enjoy my experience at Studio H20. I have known Tuan, Thida, Lyn for approximately 10 years. They have given my husband, my children, my friends (whom I recommend and still going there) as well as myself haricuts, color, manicure, pedicure, facials, etc. \r\n\r\nIn the 10 years they have serviced myself and my family and friends..non of us have had any negative experience. \r\n\r\nThey are always recommending products and styles that will compliment our look. Whenever I leave their salon, people would notice and comment on how wonderful my hair looks. Of course, I would tell them where I had it done. H20 of course.....\r\n\r\nI know that they are in tune with the Salon World as they are always going to seminars and workshops in New York, Chicago, California, Las Vegas and other fashionable cities to learn new techniques and products that will compliment their clientle.\r\n\r\nAlso in our age of computer and fast pace, ALL of the staff and management at H20 have kept their Salon a very warm, friendly, and inviting environment. One would feel at home and like family when going there.\r\n\r\nThey have an excellent rapport with ALL of their clientle. \r\n\r\nI rate them Five (5) STAR PLUS and HIGHLY recommend their salon and services.

I recently moved out to Park City from LA, and was in the midst of adding some length to my hair. I had become pretty concerned with going to stylists as they never understood the phrase ""don't take off any length"" and by in large I can color my hair myself better than a lot of the stylists I had seen at high end salons. \n\nI picked H20 because of good reviews and some pictures, asked for one of their best people and showed up to meet Lynn. She did a whole lot of management cutting without loosing much length at all, the color was awesome, very natural with great highlights. Incidentally we also share the same birthday.. had to be a good sign right? Anyhow, she is very personable and does a great job. I have just had my second appointment and am equally impressed. \n\nThe one warning I would give is that Lynn is an exceptional stylist, (I hire stylists for photo shoots and would certainly hire Lynn) so when she makes your hair look amazing, and she will, ask her to teach you how to do it and she is happy too. My hair now looks great with a quick brush, or I can go all magazine looking with the straightening iron thanks to a few minutes of coaching from Lynn. My hair has NEVER looked better, I would have never gone short in the first place if I had found Lynn earlier. I am not sure about local pricing but I am paying half price compared to LA prices for better services. \n\n\n\n\n

I have been going to Thida for the past 8 years and love everything about Studio H2O Salon. After reading a malicious review that has been posted recently, I had to take time to share the wonderful experiences I have had with the hair stylists at Studio H2O Salon.\n\nThida has such great knowledge on many types of hair, hair styles, and hair products. Her skills cutting and styling hair are flawless. She continues to learn new techniques and new ways of styling hair which she shares with me to make me look great. She always listens what I want and gives me wonderful suggestions. She somehow knows what works. I am always impressed at how it turns out. One time my color was lighter than I wanted and she quickly fixed it for free. She is always willing to work with me and she has always been very professional, knowledgeable, caring, fun and simply the best hair stylist. I receive great compliments on my hair cut and color all the time because of the magic she performs on my hair. I drive 40 minutes each way to see her for years and I will continue to do so because she is simply the best.\n\nI see the same wonderful traits in all the other stylists at Studio H2O Salon as well. Lynn has cut and colored my hair before and she was fantastic. They are all very educated and their skills are excellent. Tuan used to do my hair before Thida became a hair stylist and I was always impressed at his work too. He can move scissors quickly and skillfully and your hair will be perfectly styled. Once you see how good he is you will know why his appointments are always full. Whats great about Studio H2O Salon is that you can go see any of the stylists and you will be completely happy with the results. I strongly recommend this salon.\n\nThida is one of the nicest and most compassionate people I know. Six months ago I was like many people who wanted to do something for people in Haiti and I decided to have a small fundraiser at work. I was going to cook tons of food and sell lunch/take out dinner to the people at my work and donate all the proceeds to a Haitian charity. I came to get a hair cut 2 days before the fundraiser day and told her how excited and nervous I was because I had never done anything like that before. The first thing she said was What can I do to help you? What can I do to contribute to the cause? She said that she was scheduled to take a day off from work that day, so she could bring some fried rice. The day came and there they were Thida and Tuan at my work, bringing enough fried rice enough to feed 80 people. I couldnt believe how generous and compassionate they were. They didnt do that to impress me. They did it because they cared.\n\nThida and Tuan are not just my hair stylists. I consider them my friends.\n\nIf you have met them at Studio H2O Salon, you know what Im talking about. If you have not been to Studio H2O Salon, you should go check it out. You will have an incredible experience.\n

This is my kind of salon. The staff is super friendly, the decor is nice but not pretentious, and the services are great. Also it's just easy. They get you in and out in decent time without sacrificing any quality, and there's no ho-hum scene.\n\nCassie is the stylist I go to and I really like the way she cuts and colors my hair. I've tried many places for years now, and it's with Cassie and Studio h2o that I think I can end my search. I now have a hairdresser. Thanks

I LEARNED ABOUT STUDIO H20 SALON FROM ""GROUPON"". I THEN RESEARCHED THEIR WEB SITE - REVIEWS ...( WHICH I HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT AUTHENTICITY - NOW ). I CALLED AND TALKED TO THIADA - THE OWNER AND EXPLAINED THAT MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER WOULD LIKE TO COME IN AND WOULD LIKE HER "" THIADA "" TO CUT AND STYLE OUR HAIR. SHE SAID SHE ALWAYS GIVES A CONSULT AND FINDS OUT WHAT THE CUSTOMER REALLY WANTS BEFORE SHE STARTS HER CUT. SHE SAID I COULD BRING IN PICTURES OF WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR TO HELP HER GET A PICTURE OF WHAT WE WANTED. WE ARRIVED AND WERE TOLD BY THIADA'S HUSBAND ( ALSO SALON OWNER) THAT THIADA HAD GONE HOME SICK... BUT "" LYNN "" WAS AVAILABLE AND ACTUALLY HAD BETTER TRAINING... ( VIDAL SASSON, BUMBLE) ETC. THAN THIADA AND WE WOULD BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED. WE DECIDED TO GO AHEAD BECAUSE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO HER EXPERTISE??? LYNN DID NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE CUT MY DAUGHTER WANTED... A SPIKEY MODERN CUT THAT SHE BROUGHT A PICTURE OF ). I SHOWED HER 6 PICTURES OF THE KIND OF LOOK I WANTED - BLUNT CUT WITH LAYERS AND BOUNCY. I ALSO TOLD HER I USE ROLLERS AND NOT A FLAT IRON TO STYLE MY HAIR. WHILE GETTING MY HAIR CUT ONE OF THE OTHER STYLISTS CAME OVER TO LYNN AND SAID THIADA CALLED AND WANTED TO KNOW WHAT TO BRING HER BACK FOR LUNCH AND LYNN SAID ""WHAT EVER SHE WANTED TO PICK UP WOULD BE FINE"" ...MY FEELING WAS THIADA WAS NOT HOME SICK??....MAYBE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO DO OUR CUTS FOR LESS THAN FULL PRICE AND PASSED US OFF TO LYNN. LYNN TOTALLY BUTCHERED AND THINNED OUT MY HAIR AND CUT 2"" AND 3"" PIECES UNDERNEATH LONGER PIECES THAT STICK OUT ALL OVER MY HEAD. I CALLED TO COMPLAIN AND LYNN TOLD ME ALL SHE COULD DO IS RETURN OUR MONEY AND GIVE ME CONDITIONING TREATMENTS ( NEITHER ONE HAS BEEN DONE AND LYNN WON'T EVEN RETURN MY CALLS)... I TALKED TO THIADA AND SHE SAID ALL I COULD DO IS LET IT GROW OUT & TOO BAD THAT HAPPENED!! I TOLD HER I WOULD SUE AND SHE SAID SHE KNEW THE LAWS AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO...THEY ARE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME!! (I HAD ASKED FOR A STYLING APPLIANCE BECAUSE I CAN NO LONGER USE ROLLERS AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY HAIR.) ... THEY ARE NOT LIABLE!! I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I FEEL THAT LYNN, AND THIADA AND HER HUSBAND (THE OWNERS OF STUDIO H2O) LACK OF EMPATHY AND CARING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS IS APPALLING. THEY REALLY DON'T GIVE A S___ ONE WAY OR THE OTHER ABOUT THEIR SERVICE OR THEIR PATRONS... AS LONG AS THEY GET THE MONEY. I ALSO BELIEVE IN KARMA...WHAT GOES AROUND - COMES AROUND. PLEASE ...IF YOU HAVE HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS WITH ANY SERVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED ANYWHERE ...LET PEOPLE KNOW SO IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO THEM! .....IT'S HEART BREAKING!!

I've been coming to Studio H2O for years now and I have yet to have a bad experience. Everybody there greets you with welcome arms, making sure you are okay and comfortable with your wait by offering you magazines and a comfortable seat! Tuan is always profession and personable, he remembers what I tell him and can pick up where we left off. They're always clean, organized and I trust them with their judgment. I can tell the staff is well educated about their products, styles and what is in fashion at the time. I would recommend ANYBODY of ANY age to Studio H2O! Fabulous, and I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I have trusted Tuan with my hair for over 10 years. I don't have to tell him what I want, I leave the cut and color to him and always get compliments. My husband sees Elena, she knows how to deal with his many cowlicks - he never looks like he's been run over by a lawn mower. My daughter (10 yrs old) swears by Thida but when she's not available, it's Tuan and no one else. As a family we've been going to Studio H20 for 5 years and won't be changing. The best part of the Studio H20 experience is having your hair washed, honestly...better than sex or anything you can imagine! Don't forget to tip whomever washes your hair, it's amazing! \r\n\r\nDon't pass up Jasmine - she's amazing with waxing whether it be brows or brazilian.\r\n\r\nJust like everything else in life, you get what you pay for and we're willing to drive a little further and pay a little more to enjoy the incredible services of Studio H20. \r\n\r\n

Best haircut ever!! I have very thick, difficult hair to work with that nobody really seems to understand and Tuan did an amazing job. Honestly, I'm hesitant to leave a review only because he's in my price range right now but I know as soon as this guy gets more popular and more well known (than he already is) he'll be charging a lot more than he currently does. I'm doing it though out of principle because it's a pet peeve of mine when people do something half-a## and I have a lot of respect for people who really know what they're doing when they charge for a service, and Tuan absolutely 100% does. Studio H2o is just one of those rare treasures that makes you have faith that some people out there have actual talent in what they do.

Studio H20 Salon is amazing! I just love the vibe and the style. They make me feel right in, when I walk in they acknowledge me immediately. I have curly hair and it's super thick a little lower than shoulder length. It's very frustrating to handle. I went to Studio h20 Salon, and Thida Tran cut my hair. She gave me beautiful layers, made it a lot thiner, easier to take care of. It was nice and soft which a lot of stylist cant give me. I come 2hrs away and its worth it! I don't let anyone else cut my hair. I love my hair now, it's so much easier to handle.

As anyone with curly or even wavy hair knows, getting a good cut is an extremely iffy thing. I have lived all over the world and tried stylists in Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean countries, large US cities, and small towns. In my 64 years I have had some good haircuts, but never one I would classify as GREAT until now. And Thiada did it. I came in with a picture - something I do as often I don't speak the local language - and came out with my hair styled way better. Thiada took the picture and adapted it to my fine curly hair as no one has ever done before. The cut is so good, and has held so well, that a month later I can still wake up, kind of ruffle my hair, and walk out confidently to meet the world without even looking at it. There are simply no praises high enough for her talent and insightful and caring attention. And what a pleasure she is as a person. Although I did not interact extensively with the other stylists they all seemed open, interested, and positive, and their work - which I observed closely - looked really good. The salon atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant , the price is very reasonable, and being on Rio Grande St. is an added bonus as is the validated parking. Cannot think of anything more to rave about so will close with a rousing THANK YOU to Thiada and Salon H2O!

Cons: None I know of!

Go to Thiada. She is a godess with a natural talent for unruly hair. I have short, thick horse hair and Thiada was able to tame my mane. We put in a gorgeous red with ""splices"" of Carmel - my husband is in love all over again. She and Tuan have just purchased this and are going t do amazing!

My daughter and I were in town over Spring Break for a Girls' Weekend Getaway in SLC from Boise. I have short, very thick hair (for which I am increasingly grateful the older I get), but that has a tendency to look like a helmet when short and a Wild Woman from Borneo look when longer. I was lucky to snag an appointment with Thida (pronounced ""Teeda""). She took one look, pronounced my hair in dire need of texturing and some shaping. And that's just what she did for the next hour. (I told you I have a lot of hair!) Well, aren't I now the sassy-looking mama with hair that actually moves and has some fun style. Instead of looking like my 51 year old self, I'm looking like 40. Ok, 45, but the hair has definitely made a striking difference in my youth-quotient. You know what I'm talking about - - you can move into middle age and still look hip without having to dye your hair blue. Thida did that for me with a perfectly terrific haircut! Thanks, Thida! See you next time we're in town.

im from hawaii & i had hair down my back touching my waist.my cousin did too but we wanted a change so we decided to cut it.(: we've never had the guts to go the extreme in actually cutting it,.everytime we said we'd ""cut it"" we'd back out & our fear took the best of us. that was until today.we had this appointment set for 3 weeks now & even til 5 minutes before we went in we were 2nd thinking our decision.\r\nfrom the time we went in til the time we left the cutomer service was amazing! my hairstylist was the amazing THIDA!(you'll read more awesome reviews on her) she knew how much my hair meant to me & she promised throughout the whole process that it would turn out gorgeous!she saw my face cringe everytime she cut a piece of hair.but she always reassured me that i was going to like it!(:\r\ni got layers & side swept bangs,""beyonce look"" so thida says..lol.it turned out better then i expected.worth every penny!id go back over and over again.so if youre reading this & contemplating where to cut your hair...THIS IS THE PLACE!:)\r\ntake it from a polynesian, this place can do wonders & you'll never come out disappointed! thank you studio H2O salon!

im from hawaii & i had hair down my back touching my waist.my cousin did too but we wanted a change so we decided to cut it.(: we've never had the guts to go the extreme in actually cutting it,.everytime we said we'd ""cut it"" we'd back out & our fear took the best of us. that was until today.we had this appointment set for 3 weeks now & even til 5 minutes before we went in we were 2nd thinking our decision.\r\nfrom the time we went in til the time we left the cutomer service was amazing! my hairstylist was the amazing THIDA!(you'll read more awesome reviews on her) she knew how much my hair meant to me & she promised throughout the whole process that it would turn out gorgeous!she saw my face cringe everytime she cut a piece of hair.but she always reassured me that i was going to like it!(:\r\ni got layers & side swept bangs,""beyonce look"" so thida says..lol.it turned out better then i expected.worth every penny!id go back over and over again.so if youre reading this & contemplating where to cut your hair...THIS IS THE PLACE!:)\r\ntake it from a polynesian, this place can do wonders & you'll never come out disappointed! thank you studio H2O salon!

Pros: customer service

I was visiting Salt Lake City and needed a hair cut. A friend suggested Studio H2O. Krista cut my hair. It was the best cut I have ever had.

Pros: Great Location, Great Cut

Cons: A Little Expensive

I was visiting from out of state and I had a convention meeting the next day. I was in desperate need of a haircut and while shopping around at the gateway, I saw Studio H2O Salon. I'm a picky person, and this place looked like it would live up to my expectations. Right when I walked in it was very busy. I was greeted kindly by the receptionist and they take walk-ins very kindly and they didn't turn me away like I thought they would on this busy day. I got my hair cut by Thida. She has such a bubbly personality and her cut was fabulous! She listened very carefully to what I wanted and was attentive to what I needed. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone wanting full, great salon service.

I work for an airline and had recently transferred to the Salt Lake area. I've heard great reviews of Studio H2O Salon by associates so I thought I'd give them a try. \r\n\r\nI was very impressed by the salon alone, it has one of the best decor I've seen. Then the service, oh, the service was wonderful. They greeted me right as I walked through the door, asked whether I'd like something to drink.\r\n\r\nI was there to have my hair colored and cut and my stylist was Thida. She was professional and pleasant. I was never ignored like I did with some other salons. Either Thida or the receptionist would come and ask me if I needed anything.\r\n\r\nMy hair turned out wonderfully, just love it =-). I do and will recommend all my friends to Studio H2O Salon. \r\n\r\nThanks so much Thida.

Pros: Haircut of course plus the customer service

Cons: don't have one

I've been with this salon for over three years now, ever since I moved to Salt Lake City. I have had consistently excellent results with one minor exception - once I didn't like how dark my low-lights are so I had to get them redone. Easy fix.\n\nThey keep records on your visit so they can match your colour (nothing new, I know) and they know who your regular stylist are. I once needed an emergency cut (are you seeing a pattern here?) and they fit me in the same day.\n\nThe price is about average for a salon of this caliber and when you're paying $150 for cut and highlights you want to be sure you're going to have no mistakes. When I was blonde, I had people telling me that it looked natural and they didn't realize it was highlighted until I told them. \n\nCuts are reasonable at about $45-65 depending on the stylist you get. The atmosphere is always bright and pleasant: the people are kind and helpful; they'll talk if you want to talk or say nothing if you just want to read a magezine; they'll make you feel like a star and give you want you want with a touch of what you need. \n\n\n

I heard a lot of good things about this salon so I went there to get a haircut. First of all, I felt that $35 for a man's hair cut was too expensive and I was so disappointed with the way my stylist handled my hair. I showed her my old picture, kind of style that I wanted and as far as my experience goes, most hairstylists get an idea what the customer wants when they see the picture. This girl, however, did not have any idea of what she was doing even though she kept looking at the picture. She rarely talked to me when she was cutting my hair but the real problem was that she kept cutting and cutting until my hair became too short for styling. Most stylists that I met (I've been to hairshops in England, New York, Korea, Spain and France) usually ask the customers whether they are satisfied with the look or not satisfied but this girl never asked me such question but kept going until the point where she could not handle my hair anymore. At the end I was so terrified that did not even know what to do with my hair. Hairstylists could make some mistakes but when you go to a hairshop that costs $35 for a man's haircut you expect kind of haircut that you exactly wanted and worth the price. But unlike my expectation, I got the worst haircut I've ever had since I was in middle school and I am gonna have to wear a cap everytime I go out. I would never ever go back to H2o and recommend other guys looking for stylish haircut to pick another place. \r\n

Pros: Huge salon

Cons: Price and the quality of service

.

It's nice to go to a salon and not be inundated with white walls with pictures of women's hands. Hands with extremely long nails. Or badly handwritten posterboards with the price of a paraffin wax. The decor in here alone, in my opinion, is reason enough to go.\n\nEvery time I go anywhere else I always wonder why. I have never walked out of here disappointed. Granted, I get your basic mani/pedi and a once-in-a-while eyebrow wax. Oh, oh, wait, the eyebrow wax! How could I have forgotten? I got my eyebrows waxed and, I swear, it took about 4 weeks before I needed another. All in all, it's a very nice place. Oh, and they never lie if it's a long wait. They'll tell you if it's going to be a while so you can go shopping while you wait. I appreciate that.

Pros: Easy to get in

.

Two coworkers and I went to get manicures before a tradeshow. Mine was particularly bad, dark color with poor coverage, no cuticle work, polish job looks like a teenager experimented on my nails. Our nails didn't even dry despite sitting for a long time under the UV dryer. My coworkers' nails were cut too short and crooked. Just overall a bad experience. Will not be back and will be certain to let others know of the poor service.

It's taken me years, but I think I've finally found my person in Utah, and her name is Lien! After reading some great reviews about Studio H2o, I took advantage of the Citysearch discount and scheduled an appointment. I was lucky enough to be able to go on a weekday so I only had to book a couple of days in advance, but I'm sure weekends require more time to book an appointment. \n\nI showed up early to my appointment and planned on hanging out in the nice waiting area with a nice bottle of water to wait. They also have coffee and soda's. How fun is that? I also had fun browsing their extensive Bumble and Kerastase; Bumble product offerings. \n\nTo my surprise, Lien came out right away to welcome me, even though I was 20 minutes early! She was friendly and sweet from the first moment I met her. I liked how she was really straightforward with me. I just mumbled some apologies about my overly long and super unhealthy hair, and she took control right away, saying that she was going to get rid of my dead ends, fix my layers and make my overall look lighter. Basically, she read my mind!\n\nThen it was on to one of the best shampoos ever. I just wish they could last longer...why can't every haircut come with a 30 minute shampoo? I really appreciated the head massage as well...I had a pounding headache that day so it was much-needed. \n\nThe haircut was a super enjoyable experience, thanks in large part to Lien's great conversational skills. She's friendly and engaging but you know she's paying attention to what she's doing also. After all was said and done, I was left with a great haircut that really made me feel lighter. So many times with long hair, it's hard to even tell when you've gotten a cut, but Lien's made some great improvements. I'm so glad I found a downtown spot that is so wonderful!

I'm not a salon type of girl. \nIn fact, I hate getting my hair done. Having to sit there for two hours (I have a lot of hair), participating in the inane banter with my stylist who is annoyingly way cooler than me.\nOne might say I had serious commitment issues when it came to stylists. I would stick with them for a couple months then leave them for someone new. \nMy search has ended! I can't find enough good things to say about Tuan. He's personable and always gives his suggestions and he never scolds me when I let my hair grow out for WAY too long a time. \nThough this salon is about five minutes from where I live I would still give it my business regardless, it's friendly and unpretentious and Tuans' the best!

I have been visiting this salon for a couple of years now for nails only, but have not had time to get my hair done there (I live in Wyoming). I did have the time last week though, and was surprised when I was able to get an appointment for the date and time I requested with just two days notice. In addition, I called the day before the appointment and was able to have the time moved to earlier in the day. I didn't request a stylist, because I didn't know any of them, but ended up having Thida, who owns the salon along with her husband. I can honestly say this was one of the most pleasant salon experiences that I have had in a very long time. Thida not only listened to what I wanted, but also made some great suggestions with the color that I wanted, and very good suggestions for my cut. She was great to talk with, worked super fast on my long and thick hair, and not only told me what she was doing each step of the way, but asked my permission before just assuming what I'd want. The result I got was a terrific style-three shades of brown perfectly weaved, and a beautiful cut. The price was already great, but I mentioned CitySearch and received $10 off my service. I love my hair and thanks to Salon H2O, I have a great place to get my nails and hair done when I am in town. Thida, thanks again for the great service! Jana Ditton, Pinedale, WY.
