Other than trandy setting, the place is not much to talk about.. Tung Yum Kung soup was salty and tasted like fish sauce; chicken satay was dry, and paa tai noodles was way too sweet.. Our dinner for two costed around $50.00 - too expensive for bad food...

Whether or not the Thai food is authentic...it is always extremely tasty. I love the vegetarian selection and meatless mondays make it even better. The service is somewhat slow, but it's always worth the wait. My favorite dish is the Kao Pad with some crispy spring rolls to start and a flaming banana to finish - WONDERFUL!

The food was great and the ppl there are really nice and helpful, especially in helping us to order our food. Real Thai food, I must say but it's kinda pricey but still worth to try it out.

So much better than the other "thai" restaurants here. Nice people like family and good cooks that can make me feel like being at home. I am Thai and I hat the fake Thai in America. This is Good and it is not Lao.

There was so much to look at. I love when a foreign restaurant looks its part. The food was varied and delicious. It was higher priced than some Chinese restaurants but well worth it.

I'm usually harping on all those overrated restaurants around the valley. But with regards to Bankok Thai, this is one place I believe in underrated. Not every dish is fantastic, mind you, but the ones that are will rock your world--especially if you order as a "black diamond" dish. For starters try the savory Beef Satay. Some main dishes I prefer are Pad Ga Prow, Gang Phed Ped & the unforgettable Panang Curry Salmon. The Pad Thai is a worthy noodle dishb too. Just remember to tell your waiter to "bring some heat" and that you want it "authentic" (double black diamond)

I always have high hopes when I go to Bangkok Thai, but usually leave disappointed. It doesn't help when the service lacks any warmth and the ambience is dark and loud. The food is good, but I think it is overpriced. I lived in SF for 10 years and know what a good Thai restaurant is about. In my opinion, it is not all bad, but isn?t that great either.

Though the atomsphere was decent and the tea was good, the service and the food left something to be desired. My curry smelled somewhat akin to wet dog: not particularly appetizing. Our table got very little attention and it took forever to get our check. Once we got our check, as if they knew just how poor their service was, gratuity was added (and no, we didn't have more than 5 people). On the off-chance this was a fluke, we've tried going back several times and have, each time, gotten very similar results. I'm afraid I won't be going back.

The food here is really great and the prices make it even better. Savory-sweet sauces and piles of tasty noodles--mmm, makes me hungry just thinking of it. The atmosphere is a little stark--it could be a little warmer. But it's still a nice place to bring a date. My only word of caution: Beware the parking lot. Foothill Village gets absolutely packed with gigantic SUVs--it can be a total nightmare finding parking and getting out.

I have been a travel agent for many years and have had the good fortune to visit many US cities as well as Thailand. I must say that this is truly an outstanding Thai restaurant for the US and can stand up to some of the best in Thailand.
I noticed a number of unfavorable reviews and I can't imagine what they are thinking. I dined there on a Monday night and was surprised at how busy the place was. Everything was excellent, food, service and the price was very Cheap. The owner was present and made certain that everything was right. He also praised and recommended other restaurants to some guests seated next to us which is something I have rarely seen. Nice place and nice people.

I just had the best Thai meal I've ever experienced.
The menu had more choices than I've ever seen and the waitress Neen is just about the best in the world.
She suggested I try the authentic Ga Prow on the summer menu which is just chicken and spices and I can still taste it. Wow. I'm going to Thailand this year and she gave me all kinds of tips. I will be back to try more things and talk to Neen some more.

I usually find myself here on Meatless Mondays--all vegetarian dishes are extra cheap, for lunch and dinner. I'm not a vegetarian myself, but I've got enough friends who are that we come here in a group and gorge ourselves on the fantastic food.

The menu is extensive, the exotic fare is tasty, the ambience is upscale and the place even delivers. No wonder then that regardless of its rather forgettable location, the joint draws the locals. Seafood lovers and vegetarians are well…
