We ordered the a bedframe, armoir and chest from Ultimate Bedroom and we did get a good price. When asked about delivery, they told us it would take 1 to 2 weeks to deliver since the pieces were in California. Not a problem...2 weeks go by and no phone call so I call them and ask what the issue was. I was told that the truck never made it down to Cali and it would be an additional week. 1 week later I confirm the delivery and they say no problem it will be delivered the following morning. The next morning, no phone call and no delivery. I call again and they say it will be delivered between 1p-5p. At 4:15 they call us to tell us that the driver had a hernia from a previous delivery and delivery will have to wait an additional week. This was unacceptable. I told them that there were previously delays and we wanted our stuff. We were told very rudely that if we wanted it, we should have planned for that contingency. How many people plan for a contingency that the delivery driver will get a hernia. In follow up calls, they were rude, obnoxious, unsympathetic and not practical. Their product is very nice but not worth the service you get from the follow up.

I purchased a bedroom set on Aug. 13, 2007 from Mike (salesman), after 3 hours of talking about how his mother just moved to Bakersfield, CA. He said there would be no problem delivering there, they would just put it on the truck next time they went to CA and drop it off on the way back. He said the next trip would be in approx. 4 weeks. He also said he had another delivery to CA. After returning home, I called and confirmed the order (bed size) and delivery then began to wait and wait.

After numerous calls, I finally caught up with Mike on Sept. 28, 2007. He didn?t remember me (it was only a $3200.00 purchase). I reminded him I was from Bakersfield. He stated, ?That?s right the bed is on back order, I have over ten orders waiting for that bed.? (When I purchased the bedroom set, they had all the pieces in stock). He then stated, we don?t deliver to Bakersfield, that?s six hundred dollars more! We are going to drop it off in Los Angeles and you pick it up. Someone said something in the background, Mike then said, ?Oh, we?ll deliver it to Baker and you can get a truck to pick it up. (Baker is approx. 6 hours from my house; Los Angeles is an hour away). I attempted to remind Mike of the deal we had made. He became irate, yelled, ?ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR??, and hung up the phone. I have had no other contact to date, but as I paid cash for the purchase, we will be seeing someone from Ultimate bedroom in court!

When i was shopping around for a bedroom set, my fiance suggested Ultimate bedroom on W. Charleston, so we went by and took a look. The service was great and they gave me a "great deal" but once they got my money and our transaction was complete, it was down hill from there. I called them to let them know that a piece of the bed, which holds the bed together, had broken off and that after only 6 months, it still should be under warranty. To my surprise, they told me that since they cannot determine who's fault it is, whether it's mine or the manufactures, they are going to charge me $200 to fix it. I explained to them that i do not have kids and I'm a grown man who does not jump on the bed, but they still feel as though it's my fault! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ULTIMATE BEDROOM TO ANYONE THAT I KNOW
