The Furniture we ordered from 2000 Sofa Factory was soft and comfortable in the store. What was delivered to us on 5-14-08 was a chair, couch, loveseat that were hard and very uncomfortable w/recliner mechanisms that won't close right. After repeated calls to their customer service dept.,their repair tech came to our home on 6-10-08 and sprayed silicon on the recliner mechanisms. "See if that helps" he said. Their sales person told us to "jump up and down on the cushions to soften them".

When you call to express your disatisfaction, you cannot talk to the owner or manager because no one at their store seems to know who management is. We have had to bring in our lawyer and our credit card company to assist us in getting a refund ($2300.). The furniture is going in our garage and we are going to Penney's or a reputable store to purchase a new family room set.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 2000 SOFA IS VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT!

Our PURCHASING EXPERIENCE was fine (they want your money alright), BUT if you need to get a REFUND, FORGET IT.

Within just a few days, we were forced to cancel our purchase (BEFORE they started the job) because our new home purchase fell through at the last minute. We let them know that that we would be back to re-do our order as soon as our move was definite but we were unsure of the timeframe so we would require a refund. This had no effect--this company simply wanted to keep our $900 deposit "on hold" indefinitely.

For nearly a MONTH, we've made multiple calls and pleas for a resolution and have gotten a major RUN AROUND. The owner, who apparently is the only one with any real decision-making power, has insisted on remaining elusive. The only access to "customer service" is to leave message after message with the powerless employee who answers the phone or be dumped into the voice mail pit. (Don't believe the claim that your call will be returned "within 48 hours.")

So, now it's on to SMALL CLAIMS COURT. What a pain for an simple issue that, for any business with the smallest amount of INTEGRITY, would have been resolved weeks ago. Additionaly, now we have to wonder if 2000 Sofa's way of doing business doesn't have a hidden effect on the quality of their product.
