This IS the famous Carnegie Deli - except you don't have to fly to NY to grab their famous pastrami. At about $16 for their famous pastrami - you're pretty much paying for all the meat!!! I swear just bring a loaf of bread and you can spread the meat to feed a family of 4! The pastrami is flavorful, juicy, and literally melts in your mouth. Definitely a must try - obviously not in front of your vegetarian friends!
I went here to eat a few months ago while visiting a good friend. We were walking around the Mirage before we had to drive her to the airport. We were hungry but didn't want a chain restaurant or a straight up coffee shop so we ended up here. Carnegie deli is pretty close to what you would find in Manhattan. You need to flag down a waitress for anything and the food is overpriced. The menu is huge serving whatever you heart??s or, incase of the tongue sandwich, your nightmare's desire. The portions are also gigantic but if you are thinking about sharing beware that they are going to charge you for that. The food was good, it??s at the Mirage for crying out loud. So, if you are looking for the real New York deli experience, then go ahead but keep in mind this place is almost always busy and they don't have to be overly accommodating.
My wife and I decided to give this a try when we were in Vegas last time, and it was worth it. The Reuben is the biggest sandwich I have ever seen! Very glad my wife and I decided to split it! It was fantastic! We arrived right at the transition from Breakfast to Lunch, and the breakfasts looked fantastic! We will need to give that a try next trip!
