In 2001 I had many surgeries and painful procedures done on my spine. The nerves to my lower back and my legs were damaged and my pain was the most horrible thing I've ever lived through. I was on so many pain medicines that I can't

I've had a great experience finally getting help with pain staff very nice but not very understanding. Returning phone calls need some working on.

I was a patient of Dr. Dale for years. He was and I suppose still is a wonderful Dr. He treats his patients like human beings with pain. He is very empathetic.
The back office "let me go" They gave me a reason and the reason was not true. So I warn you all to start looking for another Dr. you can go to when they cast you and your troubles to the wind. It will happen. For that I can't forgive them.

Pros: I was treated great for years, then bam I was "let go"

Cons: The office staff is horrible, something is wrong

.

I have never had a problem with this office except having my calls returned and the office staff is chilly at best. The doctors, however are fantastic. After going to Dr. Fishell and his P.A. Dale, I have been treated like a human being and not a junkie. That is until this afternoon. I got a call from thier office informing me that I would not be extended the courteousy of another appointment. WHAT??? Out of the blue, having Dale describe me as the perfect patient, with never a clue that there was even a hint of a problem. I have to say, I feel sick at the stomach and in shock. They said the reason was too many early refill requests. The only time I have asked for an earlier time is say, 8/5 changed to 8/4 so I could pick it up on my day off. I work very early, 4 a.m. and long, 12-14 hours most days. It makes it impossible to pick it up before work and after I need to go lay on some ice because my back is through. The last thing I want to do is wait for 1/2 hour to have a presciption filled. I always asked "If it's not a problem, could you date it for a day I'm off and like I said, it is usually a difference of one day. My insurance won't fill it early so what are they talking about??? Hopefully, this is a mix-up. I will post what ultimately happens. This should never happen to someone like this and no person should ever have to feel as shook up as I do now.

Pros: Doctors and P.A.'s are fantastic, I think.

Cons: Staff is cold, unfeeling and never return calls or actually tell the Dr. something you ask them to.

I have been a patient of Advanced Paincare for about 5 years. I was referred to them after being released from my orthopedic surgeon. I have had two spine fusions resulting in chronic pain in my back and neck all thanks to a drunk driver hitting me several years ago. Yes, I only saw Dr. Fishell on my first visit but I can only say wonderful things about everyone in this office. My P.A. - Dale Delaney could not be more concerned about my care. The girls at the front desk have always been friendly and nice. Annette has always been pleasant. While the waiting room does not have a TV like many doctor offices, the waiting time is so short you don't need a TV in there. The exam rooms are nicely decorated and it's not hard to find a parking space outside the building. Dale and the staff have worked hard with my insurance companies to make sure I receive the necessary treatment for my pain - some of the procedures have been expensive. I would highly recommend these health professionals to anyone with chronic pain or necessary treatment after surgery.

Dr. Fishell is an awesome doctor. I was seen initially for an interview appointment, and even after seeing all of the major surgeries, accidents and deformities that I have and still have, he still accepted me as a patient. Chris is an excellent PA!! Tey show such passion and care in their work. When just about no other medical practice wanted to treat me because of my pre-existing conditions, the doctors at Advanced pain care came to my rescue!! Thank You from the bottom of my heart!!

After a year and a half of too much pain to even perform the simplist of daily tasks insurance finally "approved" my visit to Advanced Paincare. Two minutes into my appointment I was in tears... of relief. Finally someone was not saying "I don't know". They were saying "You shouldn't have to live like this. I don't know, YET, but we're going to help you."

And they have. I am through with doctors who do nothing but push more narcotics on me but don't do anything to find the root of the problem. Not only did this office quickly find and identify the problems but gave me several options for correcting and listen to me when I say what I can and cannot live with.

While I agree the staff in the front office needs some serious help and trying to get anything done with the "girls on the phone" is next to IMPOSSIBLE I still refuse to leave this clinic. The Dr. Fischell, the nurses and the PA's have all been terrific. Approachable, easy to talk to and helpful.

I do wish they would make DRASTIC changes to their front desk but to I will tolerate the mindless, rude idiots there to see these doctors and PA's. Have patience... bully your way past that front desk if you must but I wouldn't trust it took me two years to find this place and there is nothing in town even close to these standards.

I have been active in the medical community for almost 20 years and have very strong feelings about pain management...no one needs to suffer from pain and the stigma that comes along with pain management only serves to hurt people more. Dr. Fishell was recommended to me for pain management by my neurosurgeon...Dr. Forage, who by the way is fabulous...I met with Dr. Fishell first and he took one of the most comprehensive physical histories that I can recall. Not only did he address the issue that I came in with but also one that I had been having to deal with for years...migraines. He and his PA, Chris...love him...have turned my life around. In discussing treatment options and preferences, my concerns are addressed and my choices respected. I have to agree with the other comments regarding the office staff, medical assistants, and nurses though. I have been treated very differenlty by them...very chilly, arrogant, and dismissive. I have made multiple calls to the office and have never once gotten someone on the phone and have had to go by the office a number of times because my calls were never returned...oh, they said they did, but funny, no record on my caller ID. I have tried to break the ice by being super nice with attempts at humor but have even heard them talking about me through a closed door after I was placed in an exam room. I never said anything to the PA or Dr. Fishell for fear of being treated even worse by the staff. If it wasn't for the fact that Chris and Dr. Fishell have indeed changed my life, I would not ever go back. I trust them emplicitly. Have to weigh the good against the bad and so far "good" wins. Good doctors and good PA's are much more important and harder to find...So, if you feel like you can get past the catty women in the front office, Dr. Fishell and his PA's are worth it.

Pros: Comfortable environment, excellent medical care

Cons: Office staff is just mean.

I would really like to recommend Dr. Fishell's office. I met him on my first visit and he performed my epidurals. I have been meeting with his very competent PA's since and am always very happy with the treatments I receive. The current one assigned to me, Chris is always well aware of my condition, I never feel like I need to revisit my symptoms with him. The only minus is the lack of overall warmth from the office staff. Not that they are cold, but they seem disinterested at the worst, possibly people shy at best. Nothing a really good customer service class wouldn't improve. Overall, all I can say is thanks for making me feel like someone cares and I'm not crazy.

You see Dr. Fishell for the 1st visit then all other visits his PA.His PA is Great and so was his Nurse. The staff and the Office Manager Have to be the most inadequte staff I have seen in a doctors office. Guess who the office manager is Linda Fishell. After her and her staff overcharged me and I believe several other patients the same amount..Tried to hold us Hostage in this room she took us back to after I had already verified with phone calls to both insurances that I owed nothing. Even with their own statement it showed I owed nothing. After billing medicare no matter what's left over they can only bill you the amount in the box that says you owe this amout. They kept telling me I did not know what I was talking about. The billing Manager was new and Linda started yelling at me saying I have no right bringing that in the conversation. It had everything to do with it.So I took my cell called medicare asked to speak to the supervisor I had before when she got on the phone I told her I had the billing & office manager here and asked if she would explain the summary to one of them she said sure I handed the phone out the billing manager took it and said "we figured it out" & hung up on her. Then trying to blame it on my primary which I had called before we went in the back and confirmed They owe nothing anything else goes to medicare. I told Linda that and said I had enough she took a step in front of the door and put her hand on the Lever handle wanting to continue I told her to move she would not so since it was a lever handle I was able to swat at the Lever to make the door open.Told the nurse to tell the PA I would not be coming back. They did not refund my 15 credit card charge so I had to call the credit card co. to get my money back. 2 weeks later Linda called me to say she& her husband"Dr. Fishell" thought it would be better if I went elswhere.1.I Already told her @ last visit..2. New Dr. Requested my records

Pros: PA is the only good thing or person at this office

Cons: Linda Fishell is the office manager..I believe she litteraly decides who is to be seen at that office because if the doctor did really care he would have picked the phone up and asked what happened. what would you do?

.

After actually charging $15 saying they were nice not charging the whole.amount...I asked what am I being charged for I have no co-pay with two insurances. My first ins. no deductible but my second Medicare there was a around $150 deductible and it was the about Jan. 18. Then I went & sat down my husband asked why I had a co-pay? I told him, and he said you had two surgeries at the begining of Jan. I called medicare was put on hold twice to confirm I owe nothing and was told I owe nothing. So I go up to the desk and they bring out the billing person who then says..what I remember as Oct. the year before is the amount. I told her I had not had a co-payment from the very 1st time so why now. She then said it was my Primary..so I asked to speak to the office manager...while waiting I called my primary and they said they paid the bill so I would have to call medicare which I did. By the time Linda came up and I told her I called the insurance company and they said I owed nothing how come you're charging me 15. Linda then said we should go to the back to handle things...because everyone else in the waiting room asked the same question when asked to pay the 15. After taking us to this small room with the billing manager, my Husband, Linda, and Myself it was pretty small. Linda tried to tell me my primary made the mistake, and then they tried to say medicare made a mistake after them even pullling up thier own statement from medicare showing I owed $0 I called medicare and got a manager to explain I owed nothing I handed them the phone the asked nothing and said "we figured it out and hung up on them." They tried to say it was the primary again. I had had enough, so I got up to leave Linda stepped in front of the door with her hand on the Lever and would not let us out..it was a lever handle so I just swatted my hand over hers told the nurse on the way out to let the PA know I would not be coming back. I had to call the credit card co. for my refund.

Pros: PA was great.

Cons: Office Staff hi rate of turnover Office Manager is Linda Fishell...Dr. Fishell??? You see Dr. Fishell for inital visit then see his PA after that.

From my first visit to Dr. Fishell's office I felt like I was a pain in the butt to the staff, the girls sitting behind the front desk are to busy chatting about personal things then taking care of the people that pay there salary.

I've been going to this office for a while now and I still have not met Dr. Fishell.... everytime I go to the office it's one of his little PA'S, either that dope Dale or the other sneeky one Chris. All these people do is ask how the pain is and when I tell them it's bad, they either throw meds at me or tell me to have the Dr. cut me open.

I'm waiting to see a new pain Dr. because I refuse to be treated like dirt from office workers at this office and I'd like to go to a Dr. that I can meet, like I said I still have not met Dr. Fishell.

Dr. Fishell and his physician's assistant, Dale, are the most compassionate pain management specialists I've ever met. I moved to Santa Barbara and am MOVING back to Henderson just for Dr. Fishell.
I have horrible chronic pain that makes life non-existant without medications. Dr. Fishell & Dr. Dale allowed me to feel human again, and, more importantly, alleviated the SHAME and GUILT that comes with having to use pain medications in order to get out of bed. I was NEVER treated like an "addict" (which I am not), nor given anti-depressants and epilepsy meds which made me worse mentally and emotionally. Advanced Pain Care also realizes that people in pain usually don't have alot of money. Once diagnosed, you visit every 3 months usually. Here, I had to pay $120 for a Physical every month in SB, and my insurance went up $100 a month.

Thanks!

Dr. Fishell was the first doctor following my surgery (syrinx repair) to understand that I was still in pain. He allowed me to return to my life. My only regret is that I had to awitch insurance and he doesn't accept HPN. Dr. Fishell, please start accepting Health Plan of Nevada, hehe.
