I had dinner two times at this restaurant off of the main casino in the Venetian last week; both times when we were tired and didn't feel like going too far.

The first night, the service was pretty good and food was great. I had the Santa Barbra Chicken sandwich, which was Grilled chicken with Avocado, Swiss Cheese and Bacon. It had tons of flavor and was very filling. The french fries served with this dish were so-so. Their ranch dressing is very garlic-y so be aware for that too.

The second time I ate at the Grand Lux Cafe was less than pleasing. We had been seated and were not greeted by our waitress for about 10 minutes. After being greeted I ordered a drink and appetizer and everyone else ordered drinks. A couple minutes later the waitress stopped back to drop off drinks take our main order and left. We didn't see her again for about 30 minutes when she brought our appetizer. After she brought the appetizer it felt like it was an inconvenience to have her refill our drinks with her attitude. The main entrees came out about 20 minutes after we received the appetizer which was decent timing. Again, she disappeared for an extremely lengthy amount of time.

I had ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was good and filling. The portion was gigantic and could easily feed two people. In fact everything at this dinner was gigantic. The chicken tender meal one of the guests at my table had was huge, couldn't even finish half of it. The other ordered the chicken sandwich I had the previous time here and the final guest had Chicken Parmesan which had a more than healthy dose of chicken and pasta.

Overall, I would probably go back because it's convenient and the food is pretty good for the price (inexpensive for Vegas). The atmosphere inside is peaceful and goes with the whole Italian resonance of the Venetian. We never had to wait for a table but on the weekends I have seen a line out the door late night. The waitstaff could use a crash course in customer service which I am surprised at considering Vegas is the customer service capital of the country.

Cons: Neglecting Waitstaff

I have now stayed at the Venetian twice for work. While I find that most things in Vegas are way over priced, the Gran Lux Cafe is awesome. It's affordable and you get a lot of great food and friendly service. I know this sounds crazy, but trust me, you have to get the sloppy joe's. They are incredible !! I only wish I had a Grand Lux cafe close by so that I could have another one.

If you have an accident at the Grand Lux Cafe, expect to be ignored, your accident report will be misfiled and you will be conveniently forgotten. The one desert I ate cost me hundreds of dollars because I had to pay for the damages it caused. Over New Years I stayed in a suite at the Las Vegas Venetian and visited the Grand Lux Cafe three times without incident. The last day I was there I persuaded a friend to try their creme brulee and halfway through eating the desert, I bit down on some GLASS and got it stuck in my tooth. I managed to extract the chunk of glass from my molar (with difficulty) and spat out the shards of glass that filled my mouth. I called the waitress over and advised her that the soft creamy desert was filled with glass and she disappeared into the restaurant before allowing me to finish what I was saying. Eventually the manager, Pablo Cardona, came out and confirmed it was glass by rolling it between his fingers. Mr. Cardona asked me to fill out an accident form and then told me they would remove all the sugar in the area of the kitchen where the creme brulee had been made. He also asked me to call the Hotel Reception during my stay if I had any emergency medical problem from having glass in my food (like a cut esophagus). Luckily I had managed to remove all the glass from my mouth before swallowing! After arriving home in California, I visited my dentist and sure enough I had damaged my tooth. I called Pablo Cardona and was told he was on vacation. I've been calling Pablo Cardona and Cheesecake Factory Risk Services for the last four months and they are always "in a meeting" and my calls go directly to voice-mail.

Pros: food presentation

Cons: customer service

First we were seated at a filthy table with dirty utensils as well as dirty drinking glasses. Also the food we ordered was not the food we recieved. Also the manager asked if we are sure of what we ordered. No compassion for guest and no adjustment to the bill. If you are considering rating here, I suggest looking at other options. Las vegas has many more wonderful resturants. Do NOT consider this place if you want to be treated with respect.

I'm surprised to find this in Venetian with affordable price and good food! The place is classy and great ambiance with low lights. If you like Cheesecake factory, you'll like this place but I think better than Cheesecake with similar prices. If you're trying to save $$ on food, try this spot!

The Grand Lux features a vibe similar to that of the Cheesecake Factory. The food is great and the drinks are tasty. Having it located in the middle of the Venetian makes it easy to get to.

Located in the beautiful Venetian this is the closest thing they have to a coffee shop. But it's way better! Designed by the Cheesecake Factory guys this is a great restaurant any time of the day. The food is excellent with plenty of variety that's sure to please anyone.

We have been going here for years. They have a lot of choices. The food is really good, the service is well too. The only reason I give it a 4 is because there late late menu does not have a lot of selection as their lunch and dinner. If you go to this place be sure to arrive for dinner not the late later dinner. They are open 24hr. They have one of the best French Fries you will ever have. It is in a good portion so you might want to share. They have good fresh fruit plates which i order on regular visits. I would recomend this place since it looks nice and the quality of food is good too...

We went on a recent Vegas vacay, four of us total. We were seated about 15 minutes after putting our name in although it looked like the wait would have been much longer. Got a great little booth in a quiet section in the back of the hotel, which was fabulous. We all got drinks, which were good, except mine was way too sweat (Pomegranate Champagne drink). Got appetizers of the mashed potato spring rolls and edemame, both of which were really good. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and timely. I got the spring roll appetizers which were surprisingly good. My boyfriend got the southwestern salad which was SOOOO good!!! I was craving it days later. Our friends good some good plates as well, but didn't taste them. Overall it was a very reasonably priced meal, great service, and a good time. I wanted to go back before we left but we just didn't have time. We also realized there's a Grand Lux in Great Neck, NY close to were we all live, so I'm sure we'll try this place again soon afterall! Definately recommend this place. So much to chose from and the prices are fair.

Cons: Not much. Some oft the drinks are a little too sweet.

When we arrived there was a small wait (15-20 minutes.) The ambience reminded me of olive garden, busy and a little noisy, but also romantic. We started off with egg rolls stuffed with potatoes with cheese on top and sour cream dipping sauce. They were deliscious. You also get bread and butter which were good. Then we got our meals. I had the pasta bolganese and it was really good ( a tad bit salty.) My husband really enjoyed his meal also which had suatayed chicken. When you cut the chicken it was very tender and high quality. There were no veins or anything. The prices were decent. Mine was $15 and his was somewhere near that price range. It was good food and we felt like we were at a nicer restaurant. We eat at restaurants a lot and we would eat here again.

Stay away poor service! We arrived at the Cafe around 9:45 and within 10 minutes we were heading back to our seat. When we arrived at our table it was not ready and the hostess ask us to wait a moment and she walked off. Five minutes later we sat down at the table after being asked to move out of the isle by several staff. After setting down the hostess finally returned and told us not to sit at the table till it was fully cleaned we asked her if we could sit at one of the other 4 tables they were seating guest that arrived after us, she told us no and asked us to wait again. About 2 or 3 minutes later she returned and sat us at one of the tables we originally asked to sit. I asked to talk to a manager. The junior manager came over and talked to me?situation resolved in my book.

At 10:30 the waiter took our order and we received our drinks about 5 or 10 minutes later and about 20 minutes later the head manager came over and told us our food would be right out. I thought this was a great gesture. Another 20 minutes go by and still no food we asked to see the manager again. The same junior manager came over to talk to me. He started with his I am sorry stuff and I interrupted him because I was upset and asked him what he was going to do now that we had to leave in 10 minutes and our food was just arriving. He told me ?I was not done talking and since you want o interrupt me my apology is all you get.? I asked him his name he told me Pablo and took out his card and said ?here is my card so you do not forget it.? I went up to the front and asked for the head manager since I knew it could not be Pablo Chichoni the cocky manger. The manager that came and told us our food was going to be out in a few minutes came up to me and I went over with him what I just wrote. He apologized and took care of the cost as Pablo should have done. We did not get to finish our food my brother had to catch his flight. Poor management ruined our day.

I went there after watching The Blue Man Group show, which by the way was great. The food was very good and the service flawless. The restaurant truly lived up to it's Cheesecake Factory's reputation. There is also a late night menu, which I plan to try the next time I'm out there. Highly recommend!

Feels like a 30$ per entree restruant for only 13$ per entree. I've been to quite a few places even shelled out 60$ at the chinese place, next to stack, and still i prefer the LUX. One of the few 24 hour restruants in vegasand definately the best late night menu. Breakfast or traditional burgers even some oddball dishes. Very friendly staff i was shocked how friendly my cook was... WOW

This place has a great menu with a large amount of choices even after midnight. We were seated quickly and had a great server. The cost isnt bad for the amount of food they give you. Especially if you eat a breakfast type plate.

The restaurant is connected somehow to Cheesecake factory which is another favorite of mine. I would highly recommend anyone in the Venetian hotel to try this for a late night bite to eat.

I had terrific service and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The buffet looked delightful but was craving eggs benedict. It was the best I have ever had and I try them wherever I go. Will definately eat at the Grand Lux next time I am in town. I would love to try that terrific buffet, but knowing me I will order the eggs benedict again it was so good.

When ever I'm in the area of Vegas, I make sure I stop here for a meal. Almost every time I've gone the service has been good, the food is always excellent and with Cheesecake factory Cheesecake you've gotta save room for dessert. I love going here for dinner or anytime I can. I highly highly recommend it!

you get served by 2 waiters/waitresses. a little annoying actually. one of the waiters was good - the other was extremely annoying and committed a lot of faux pas. for example, i ordered a pasta dish and i asked for a spoon. instead of handing me the spoon or placing it on a napkin next to me, the waitress stuck in my plate!!! are you kidding me???? a little loud, too. my dining partner and i had to yell at each other to converse. otherwise, the food itself was quite excellent.

The breakfast buffet was really good. This included juice and coffee as well. It was a good deal because if you order juice or coffee, that is already about $4.50 each. The breakfast buffet itself was around $13. The selection was limited but some food was good. The custom made omlet bar was really good. I ordered the waffle myself and my girlfriend ordered the buffet. The omlet was pretty good and I had no complaints about it. I think it was pricey overall for breakfast, but I already expected that since it is Vegas.

i came here on a saturday for brunch with friends. the service was fine, very attentive, but it seemed like we had three different waiters throughout the course of our meal. the menu was a smorgasbord of dishes from different countries. it was a bit daunting to try to get through in a timely fashion, but i think this would be a plus if there are picky eaters in your party. i had the duck potstickers and the parmesan potato cakes, both of which were delicious. my only complaint was the loud music playing in the background. granted, it's in the middle of a casino and it was the holiday season, but it was more than a little unnerving trying to enjoy a meal with the sounds of crashing symbols and a full choir overhead.

Just had breakfast here this morning and we still can't believe how good it was. Step aside all you 'couture' dining spots because this place is spot on. The quality of the ingredients and the perfect way our meals were prepared was frankly a shock (quite pleasant shock!) Even my English muffins were wonderful - thick sourdough, slightly chewy, clearly homemade. Had the Baja omelet and it was overflowing with wonderful flavors of ripe avocado, roasted pepper, chipotle salsa. Service was outstanding, very friendly and super attentive. This is the best value in town. Sad to say, but better than Bouchon. Really.

Eating here is fun, especially considering what awaits you outside the entrance.
I have been going here for years, and although I do still enjoy it, I must be honest and say that things seem to be slowly going down... the food, the service and the friendliness. The prices however are slowly going up!
There are many things I like on the menu, but the desserts don't make me go nuts at all, as they are just average.

THE GRAND LUX, LOCATED INSIDE THE VENETIAN HOTEL AND CASINO WAS A GREAT CULINARY EXPERIENCE. AS MOST PEOPLE WHO RATE THIS PLACE AGREE, THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE! IF YOU WANT AN EXCELLENT DEAL, JUST GO IN WITH SOMEONE, ORDER ONE OF THEIR MANY APPETIZERS, AND I GUARANTEE YOU THAT YOU WILL BOTH HAVE TROUBLE FINISHING IT. SERVICE WAS ALWAYS SUPERB. ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST VALUES IN THE VENETIAN.

Platter came out with 3 large pieces of boneless breast, smothered with large muschrooms and a creamy but light sauce. For dessert we had the choclate bread pudding with Bailey's cream sauce. From the understated table setting to the smoke-free and relaxed setting, it was a lunch to remember. Would definitely recommend this to you!

I'm from New Orleans and currently live near NYC so I've had access to really good food. I was impressed with the food, the way it was served, the price and the service. Ate there on two different trips and it never let me down. I recommend it to everybody who goes there.

I stayed at the Venetian in July, and I was able to enjoy the cusine at the Grand Lux Cafe. I ordered the Spaghetti, and the Sauce they used was out of this world. I would love to have the recipe. They also have a very good breakfast as well. One thing they could do, however, is reduce the size of their portions. My sister and I agreed that you could order 1 plate and share it with 6 other people. Not very wise in a health consious society. But other than that, The food was fabulous, and I would definitely go back!

We love this place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or in between. Portions are very generous. Have not had a bad meal there yet. Love the variety on the menu. If you're in a hurry and the line is long, they serve a full menu at the bar.

We stayed at the Venetian for 5 nights and 3 of those was spent having a late dessert at Grand Lux. My hubby fell in love with the "Lemon Poudcake". He cried on the nights when it sold out. t
Great cosmos at any table, not just the bar. Huge portions, since its designed and operated by the famous "Cheesecake Factory" folks. Look around -- it actually reminds you of the cheesecake factories around the country. Great ambience, definitely an all around good spot to grab a bite, talk to friends, and have a few drinks. The capuccino is good too! Rservations not required!

Had one of the best cheeseburgers i've ever had. and what a great place to have it, the best casino on the strip, the Venetion!!!!!
if you want huge portions then this is the place for you, and although they don't advertise this, they have a breakfast buffet that is awesome(strangely enough the venetion does not have a buffet, kinda weird)

We discovered the Grand Lux several years ago and were thrilled! We have long loved The Cheesecake Factory. The Grand Lux is just as good without the long waits. Many times we have gone to The Cheesecake Factory to find an hour plus wait, then checked the Grand Lux and were able to get right in. The last time we were in Vegas (Aug 2002) we realized that a lot of people had figured out the same secret and there was a short wait (5-10 min). It was still great food, great service. We can't wait to come back.

This restaurant, like its sister restaurant The Cheesecake Factory, offers insanely huge portions at decent prices. We ate here on a Tuesday night and had a pretty decent dinner. If you are into girly drinks, try their watermelon martini- very good. Food was ok but nothing special- we had sandwiches and pastas at our table. Since the menu is so huge, they can't really specialize on one type of food, so overall quality is not super. Also, nobody carries a doggie bag around Vegas, so the super-huge portions are pretty much a waste. Personally, I would rather go to a specialized restaurant and get higher-quality food. I would only come here again if we had a large group and couldn't decide on what type of food to eat.

The food in this round-the-clock spot from the creators of The Cheesecake Factory chain is basic all-American modern, plus recipes from around the world. Lots of good salads---such as the seared ahi with romaine, radicchio, frisee and…
