This is a great, quaint hot springs resort. We have been there several times and stayed in the lodge as well as the private cabins. Remote and romantic, but not that far from Reno, Carson City and South Lake Tahoe. Bring your bikes...great area for biking. You will love it. Good exercise room and work out equipment., Hot springs are good.

My husband and I spent our HARD EARNED money to go relax and get facials at David Walley's. We each got a facial and were VERY dissapointed. We felt like we didn't get the treatment we expected after reading the descriptions on their website. I have been in the spa industry for many years and know what the facial should have consisted of. First of all there were two windows with streaming sunshine in the room. Hello?? Ever heard of black-out shades for the ambiance of relaxation?? The "European" facial should be done on the face AND chest and should include extensive massage of the scalp, face, neck, shoulders and chest. Also the steam was left on my face way to long and my face felt raw by the end of the treatment. Also, I have always received a hand/arm massage with just about any facial, NOT SO with this one. The therapist I had also put all the products on my eyes and everything got into my eyes. My eyes watered for about 2 hours after the facial. She did extractions and used gloved hand and her fingernails, NOT pleasant and left my face with redness for a long time afterwards. My husband's experience was with a different therapist and he did recieve a hand massage for about 10 seconds, just long enough to rub in the lotion. She also had long fingernails which scratched his face. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. When you arrive you are sent to undress and put on a robe and slippers in a tiny room with lockers and other men/women.(seperately) I am modest and this stressed me out fom the very beginning. The bathroom/shower room is filled with un-clothed women/men running around ( seperate quarters, thank goodness). It was sopping wet everywhere and sopping wet towels everywhere. I had to use the restroom and had to dry the toilet seat off to sit down. The hot springs are nice if you can get past the smell of sulpher!! We felt like we were herded into our treatments like cattle and did not get to relax. I will not be back to David Walley's!!!
