DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

Up until this past spring it was our favorite "special occasion" restaurant. We told everyone how great the food and the ambience was. Enough so, that my sister-in-law bought us a $75 gift certificate for my husbands birthday in January. We planned on going in May (taking some out of town friends) but when we called to make the reservations we were told the restaurant had become a CAFE earlier in the year. Why wasn't my sister-in-law told that before she purchased the certificate. We went somewhere else that night & planned on going another night (our meeting anniversary date in August) to find out just how much it changed & to see how many trips it would take to use our $75 certificate. In August we called to make another reservation and as I spoke to the manager saw that our $75 gift certificate, which was paid for with a credit card had "EXPIRED" (very small print on the bottom that I had not noticed before because of the certificate being in an envelope). How can something purchased with a credit card expire?? In less than a year??? I have never heard of that. I called the "cafe" manager, I called the manager of the food/beverage department and emailed. The two managers said they were sorry but that was their policy and they said all the hotel/casino's do it. I have never had that happen before at any restaurant on the Strip or downtown. So, that is when I emailed and they didn't even give me the courtesy to answer it. We will never visit the Great Moments Room or the Vegas Club again. We have told all our friends about what happened (none has ever heard of a gift certificate expiring in 6 months). And I'm telling it here. DO NOT BUY A GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM HERE UNLESS YOU PLAN ON USING IT RIGHT AWAY.
