Worth visiting even if it's at the end of the strip. The hotel is getting old, but the Egyptian theme is still cool.

I have stayed in just about every hotel in Vegas and this by far was the worst and I stayed in some pretty nasty hotels around the outskirts of Vegas when I was younger. Coming in from a late night out at the clubs all you want to do is get some sleep, however Luxor makes it impossible to do so when you are presented with a room that looked liked someone got MURDERED in it! When I pulled up my covers to get some much needed sleep I was presented with a few blood stains on the sheets themseleves. Apoun further inspection there was blood on the carpet as well. Even if the hotel did change their unclean sheets there was enough blood on the bed to soak thru the sheets itself. It was extrememly disgusting and violates a bunch of health and saftey standards! After risking potentially caughting an STD or some other sercious diease when getting my car from valet they put very noticiable dents in my car and refuses to pay or claim any liability for damages when car never left valet hands!

Recently I stayed there between Feb 28 to Mar 1, 2011.\nHere is a list of things which happened with me-\n1. I was booked for King bed room (I paid extra for this) but when i reached I was offered Queen bedroom.\n2. The hotel needs renovation.\n3.There is no fridge inside the rooms. If u want one u have to rent 20$ per day. No coffee machines in side room.\n4. There is a hidden charge which u realize when u check in that there is hotel development and internet fees whether u use or not.\n5. There was promotion going on that time and the concierge is so adamant in selling us those promotions. Never seen so pushy people in a hotel even I am insisting that I need to rest first after a long drive, they dont care they just want to sell you the product.\n6.There was not even a bottle of water or glass to drink water. Thank God I had some bottles with us.\n\n

Check in was a breeze. When we got to our room, we found it to be clean, put together well, and in decent shape. While the decor is showing it's age, the room was clean and large. Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms have obviously been updated with granite counter tops, new shower stalls with tile, and an overall good look. For the price I paid for a room, I felt it was a good value. I would stay there again.\n

Good service. Nice Security. Comfortable rooms. Most important , at least to me, while it was full, it was relaxing and peaceful, even in the casino.\n

I have just returned from a 5 day stay in Las Vegas, our hotel was The Luxor .... I was in a party of 13 friends/family ....... where do I start - the holiday itself was amazing, LasVegas is a place that everyone should try and visit, it really has to be seen to be believed....our Hotel as I said was The Luxor - it was a beautiful hotel, very very very clean, the staff were excellent, very kind, attentive and courteous, the Casino was great and the food in the 'Cafe' was delicious, so all in all the Luxor is an excellent hotel, it has the whole package and I know that we all hpe to make a return visit in the not so distant future - 10 out of 10 for the Luxor - luv it\n

My husband and I got married at theLuxorchapel and had a 4nt stay in the Spa Suite. The room was spotlessly clean and the maid (Mary) was wonderful. If we bumped into her, she always had time for a little chat and she made sure that the room was as well prepared as it was at check in time. The check in staff were wonderful. My sister had her room upgrade after the shower leaked as a way of apology. She was very impressed.\n

I loved my stay at the Luxor.....like any hotel on the strip it had its own good and bad points. the good ones are.....spa suites to relax in after a long day or nite on the town...plenty of room for two. found many visitors jealous i had my own spa. the bed and bath toiletries were very nice. The rooms are large..the beds are comfy and rooms are fairly clean compared to other hotels i saw. maids respected do not disturb signs. and was pleased they checked my key when i came in and found them cleaning a nice security measure. Poolside was great...and enjoyed my downtime and the music they played. check in took awhile but check out was fast and the staff was friendly and accomidating. easy access to excalibur via sky walks and trams. Chris Angels bikes and cars were cool to see and I loved the Egyptian theme. bell hops were freindly and quick in getting my bags for check out and patiently watched them until i was curbside. very much appreciated.

We stayed for 5 nights in March of 2009 (1st through the 6th). I was a little concerned about reviews I had read referring to poor customer service, inadequate water pressures, rooms in need of updates, location of the hotel on the strip and timeshare personnel. The customer service I received was excellent from the front desk staff to the casino staff to housekeeping staff. Our check-in clerk went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied and would enjoy our stay at the Luxor. The Players Club and casino staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. We never waited for extended periods of time for drinks or food. The casino was clean and so was the food court. The rooms (we had - a free upgrade on night one due to a computer error and a Pyramid Spa Suite for 4 nights) were adequate with excellent views, good air circulation and great housekeeping services. The furniture was in good condition. My only comment would be that even with lamps on, the room felt dark at times and that hallway carpets may need replaced (at least on the 23rd floor). We had absolutely NO issues with water pressures during our stay and in fact were impressed with the small amount of time it took to fill the spa tub! One downer would be the constant harassment from the time share personnel. Most would leave you alone with a simple ""no thank you"" but others applied pressure. We found it easiest to not make eye contact, give no verbal response and just keep moving. Unfortunately, you were bothered every time you passed their areas of concentration. We began to avoid certain areas. I've also read reviews about the Luxor's location on the strip. We find it to be perfect - but that is the end of the strip we prefer (the 4 corners). It is not the hotels fault if customers aren't familiar with the strip and hotel locations. Overall, we had an excellent experience, would return again and would highly recommend the Luxor to others who may be traveling to Las Vegas. Thanks to the Luxor staff for their customer service skills!

This hotel isn't bad! We stayed in the pyramid so the room was odd... The wall/window was curved. However prices aren't bad and its located in a great place. I would stay here if the price is right when you are looking!

Luxor is a very comfortable hotel that has some of the best prices for a room along the strip. I usually come to Vegas 3x a year to visit family, but don't always want to stay with them. It's much easier for me to pick a hotel that's close to everything, while still being able to see my family. I like Luxor because the rooms are very modern, and I'm in love with their fitness center at their spa. The buffet probably isn't my favorite, but that's because I like a lot of variety when I eat. Overall, it's still one of the sweetest deals I've seen in Vegas.

I loved the overall convenience of the Luxor hotel and casino, as in many hotels and casinos in Vegas the lobby is the nucleus; bars, clubs, shows, restaurants, and exhibits you name it, its there! You do not have to leave the hotel until its time to check out. I did not feel sun light for a 24 hour period b/c everything I needed was right there. My only gripe was the line to check in was ridiculously long. This was our first time in Vegas, so we werent aware of premium packages , the Baller check in systems or whatever its called, so we waited in line for 1 Hour, granted the staff apologized and was very pleasant , so that made up for it

I stay there on weekly basis for past 3 months and have never encountered an issue that I wouldn't at any mega resorts. Have you seen how fast they move their lines. And respond in timely manner. Its not a place for you if you think you are the only guest in 4400 rooms resort that needs service. Love the staff and economy class rooms. Be back next month.

A group of friends and I stayed here for a few days for a friends birthday. Vegas is great and we really weren't expecting much just a place to sleep but, we got much more. We had got a great deal on the hotel and ended up being upgraded to better rooms as soon as we checked in. The service was great and everyone was willing to help us with anything we needed. As most hotels on the vegas strip the luxor has everything in it you need, clubs, bars, restaurants, buffets, shows, and of course the casino. The casino definatly isn't the best on the strip but it works for someone like me who is more in vegas for other things. The location of the hotel in the only downfall it is on the far north end of the strip so getting to hotels such as the belagio and ceasers takes a while but on the upside it does have connecting walk ways to mandalay bay and I believe excalibur. For the price I was definatly a fan of this hotel.

This hotel is located on the South end of the strip, but is the easiest hotel to get to and to find your way around. I have stayed in other hotels and Luxor is so easy to find your way around. The service is always great and you have the choice of either staying in the pyramid or a tower room. I have stayed in both and I like the tower rooms the best. The Steak house is the best place to eat that special meal in the evening with the buffet the best for the rest of the time. Every time I go to Vegas I stay at the Luxor.

The Luxor has bed bugs in room 7160... and when you call to complain about it, they don't care. They will send you to talk to "manager" Neil Jackson in risk management who is VERY rude, and tell you there is no bugs... but the doctor said so. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!

We loved the Luxor, and we stayed there even before they upgraded the hotel to include more cool restaurants and the popular club LAX. The Luxor is the perfect place to stay in the summer, they have one of the best pools and they are a lot cheaper than the Mandalay Bay. Its not too hard to get a pool chair at Luxor but I've heard it is really hard at the Mandalay Bay.\n\n

We read some of the reviews regarding this hotel and were extremely anxious as some of the reviews were terrible. However, we cannot understand what people were talking about, our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with excellent service, the room was spacious and clean and we had two queen size beds. We stayed in the pyramid and the room was a little dark at first but you can push the curtains back further to lighten the room. The location was perfect, five minutes drive from the airport. Lovely pool, excellent restaurants. We are glad that we didn't take any notice of the bad reviews and made up our own minds. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to return for another trip.\r\n

this is one of the best hotels we stayed in during our short trips. the ambiance of this hotel & the area surrounding was amazing. best place to stay for a long leisure trip in Las Vegas. it has a grand decorated lobby with all the modern amenities & interior. Rooms were really specious with well decorated furniture & attire. For morning breakfast there are lots of facilities was in the lobby only, and there were many options. \nwe will definitely visit this place again & will recommend everyone have recently returned from a holiday to Las Vegas having stayed at the Luxor hotel. \n\n

The kids thought this place was great, and we enjoyed it too. It is a ways from a lot of cool things on the strip, but a day of walking will let you see everything. We stayed in the tower, which was nice, but I guess the kids wanted to be in the pyramid part, oh well. The room was big and the bathroom very nice. The pool was crowded with 20-somethings partying, but we had fun. I won $ on the slots, YEAH! The theme is awesome and the decor around the hotel and casino is great! We will be back! The first time my husband and I went to Vegas in 2004 for our honeymoon, we stayed at the Bellagio. When we returned in 2007, we had booked at the Luxor knowing it would not be as luxurious as the Bellagio. We were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. In all honesty, it appeared to me that the air was cleaner than the Bellagio. It seemed as if everyone's cigarette smoke was not as prominent at the Luxor as it was at the Bellagio. The Luxor also had more affordable places to eat for people who did not want to have a sit-down meal and spend a couple hundred dollars on every meal. The Luxor exceeded our expectations. My best friend and I are staying at the Luxor in October, 2010. Certainly, well worth the money (cheap) and has everything we need if we chose not to leave the building. The only problem with the room was that I found it to be too dark. They need brighter bulbs or more lighting. The service was fantastic and we had a fantastic time without spending an arm and a leg for the room. Loved the sit down restaurants as well.

Stayed in West Tower, had tub, separate shower, refrigerator. LCD TV, Pillow top bed, coffee maker. It was quiet, staff was friendly. Did not have any issues. Room was very quiet. Stayed there 10 yr ago, still the same decor, different clubs. Buffet is $30 for ALL DAY all you can eat, otherwise about $12-15 a meal. Expected otherwise based upon reviews, but don't know where they come from. Again, this was for West Tower, but staff couldn't have been nicer. Would definitely stay here again if location is near planned shows. Monorail a pain as it is behind the strip, easier walking.\n

My wife and I, along with her parents have just returned home after a wonderful 9 nights at this Las Vegas landmark. It's not the biggest Hotel & Casino in Vegas, in fact it is around half the size of Crown Casino in Melbourne. The staff are very helpful for the most part, but you do need to be aware of the touts offering free show tickets for a few minutes of your time. The room we had on the 19th level of the West tower was fantastic. Conforatble beds, hot & powerful showers, what more could I ask for. As its part of the MGM -Mirage group, your players card also works at Excalibur, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and New York New York which is great for building up points. A key tip is to charge EVERYTHING to your room, and keep amazing point. After our 9 night stay we had amassed around 30000 points between 4 of us. When we went to check out, we had been comped for everything. In effect, our accommodation was FREE, Oh and we got free Limo transfers both ways to and from the Airport. My husband and I stayed at the Luxor with our 11 year old daughter and cannot understand why this hotel receives so many bad reviews! The pyramid room that we stayed in was clean, the beds were comfy, and the staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs. We had great housekeeping service and all requests for extra towels and glasses were met. The concierge was helpful when booking our Grand Canyon trip. We have stayed at other hotels in Las Vegas and for the price,we feel it was a great value. \n

I stayed here for 4 nights, and we had a great time! We stayed in one of the tower deluxe rooms, and had a nice view of some of the strip, From memory It cost only a few extra dollars a night to stay in this room over the Pyramid room, and it was worth it. The Room was beautiful, recently refurbish' from memory and was totally clean and smelt great. The bed was a double king, and was extremely nice, Curtains were thick so sleeping in until 1pm was not a problem, Bathroom was amazing, large shower and bath and marble surfaces. Hotel had a lot of things to do, just being inside a Pyramid building was a fun experience. Food was pretty average, the have a Starbucks which is a big + for me, Check in was really fast and easy, did not have any troubles with that.\n

The self-park car park was big but easy to access from the road system and into the hotel. Valet parking looked very busy and at times overwhelmed & chaotic. The monorail was always busy, but the short distances between the Luxor & its sisters meant that it was not really necessary. We visited the Titanic exhibit which was excellent. It was cheaper buying tickets from a half-price booth on the strip than in the Luxor itself, despite having a Luxor discount booklet. The location we found ideal. We were just away from the bustle of mid-strip but only 10 minutes walk away from the action. Generally, the Luxor was everything we wanted it to be. There was no evidence at all of timeshare touts; our only problem was getting through the public areas whilst everyone was trying to take family photos by the Egyptian features! There is a sign asking to ""please excuse our dust whilst we create your new Luxor"" but we experienced no inconvenience. An excellent choice for our stay.

The Deluxe Pyramid Room was exactly as requested. It was clean, with a superb bathroom and effective aircon. The room was very, very quiet despite the hotel always being busy.\n

The geography of the Luxor was confusing to start with and remained so through the 4 nights, despite a map. We eventually found the buffet where we only ate the first night after our long journey - the food was actually very good. For breakfast we found that one of the food courts was more than adequate and reasonably priced. Ther rest of the time we ate out & about - the diner at the Golden Gate in Fremont St being particularly recommended.\n

My husband and I got married at the Luxor chapel and had a 4nt stay in the Spa Suite.

We stayed here for our first ever visit to Vegas & it certainly met our expectations! The room was awesome considering we only paid $100/night for it. The amenities at the hotel far exceeded what we were expecting...the pool, shops, food, nightlife, gambling, shows...would definitely recommend & it is sooo wallet friendly!\n

Please ignore the bad reviews...... We have just got back from our trip to Las Vegas and we had an amazing time! The pool is lovely and we were down there at 9am every morning when it opened so we could easily get the loungers. Our room was really big with 2 queen size beds and was cleaned every day. This is a lovely hotel with a smaller casino and yes you have to walk but you would need to do that in any hotel you stay in! All in all a lovely experience in Luxor!\n

I just got back from a conference at an adjoining property and had taken the time to read the reviews and checked the pricing. Luxor was about 30% cheaper for a Tower Deluxe King bed which fit my needs perfectly. The Shower and bathtub were perfect for both pressure and cleanliness and I received the service when I asked for it. The only issue I had experienced during my stay was that the in room movies did not always start, which I was told was a download issue but the staff solved the problems quickly and in a professional manner. Overall when I go back to Vegas for some fun I will stay at the Luxor again. As a side note I loved the Backstage Deli and made several trips during my 4 day stay as it was priced well for the portions.\n

We had a room in the pyramid at the front with a fantastic view. The room was large and was kept lovely and clean. The ""all you can eat buffet"" was good value and the food had lots of variety and was very tasty indeed !!! You get directly to Mandalay Palace and the Excalibur which was handy as went to see Lion King at the Mandalay. The pool area was fine, the pool dj was a bit boom boom, but the kids loved it ! I am sure there are better hotels in Vegas, but for us it was fine and we had a great holiday. \n

I chose for a Deluxe Tower Room, and was great. Room with good size, clean and comfortable. The location of the Luxor is not the best, but the cost-benefit ratio is. There are monorail and bus stop nearby.

This is my second stay at the Luxor in the past 2 years and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! My mom and I stayed in a basic room in the towers and that was perfect, as we were in the casino playing most of the time, anyways, did you go to Vegas to stay in your room all day and night, I dont think so. Because of our previous play time and amounts, we were greeted at the airport by a limo and was able to check in VIP style. We are in NO WAY VIP'S but they treated us as if we were. The staff was awesome and our host Dorie was amazing... We played slots for 3 straight days, and the machines were loose and paying well/ I hit the price is right for 1,000.00 and many others, to where I came home with just as much as I left with. It was awesome, and thanks to everyone for a great time. I cant wait to come back next September!!!\n\n

spent 4 nights - good value for money, 15 & 17 yr olds had own room next to ours - good location & facilities, good fast food cafes for the kids in hotel, lifts take getting used to as it goes up on an angel. Would recommend the Chris Angel show in hotel and helicoptor trip to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc - Fantastic - next time though, would go at Sunset. They have the cheapest shopping outlets in LV compared to anywhere in the US. \r\n

The Luxor looks fun with its pyramid theme (and the ride up the inside of the pyramid by elevator is fun) but after that, theres not much for kids to...
