After several seasons playing Flag Football through the City of LV Department of Leisure Services, we chose to try NYS when my son's friend joined. What a disappointment. The home field (Katz) is patchy and rutted. We had one game in

Good League for kids just starting out in sports. I found their customer service to fair.

Good League for kids just starting out in sports. I found their customer service to fair.

Pros: Good fields and location. Fair customer service

Cons: Needs more organization

.

I coached last year for their 3 year old soccer which went reasonably well. This year, for the 4-5 year old has been much worse. It is coed, which is not good. The do not verify birth certificates, so we have 4 year old girls on the field with 6 year old boys. Some of the boys look like they drove themselves to the games. I have complained a couple times to them about the organization and they have been very unhelpful. It is not fair to the girls to be out there with boys that much older.

I have found they do not return phone calls and rarely return emails. I think they just want to do the initial organization, collect their money, and that is about it.

Pros: good refs and game locations

Cons: poorly organized, no customer service

I've played with this league for 8 seasons (almost 3 years) and I'm pleasanty surprised by the direction the league is taking. At first it was disorganized, they never seemed to have the same staff, and we even showed up to games that had no referees. A new staff came in during my 3rd season and it's been getting better ever since. When I go to the office I see the same staff each time, which is very helpful. We've been using better parks and the referees have been a lot better. I decided to coach a few seasons ago and they've been very helpful in getting me set up and the kids always have a fantastic time. I definitely recommend the league especially for first timers. We'll see you out there.

Pros: Inexpensive, fun!

Cons: Not many anymore

I wanted to pass along a great experience my family had in this league. I have a 3 year old daughter and 5 year old son. My daughter played soccer. My son played t-ball. The staff at NYS was great to work with. They provided us with a schedule, directions, rules, and the cutest uniforms. We met lots of other families with similar backgrounds. I would recommend this league to anyone with small children.

Pros: Organization, Uniforms, Game Fields, Refs, Cost

Cons: None

Terrible coaching.Worse administration . Unfair play and team setup. Referees that are inexperienced and out for the money. League is run with their profit in mind not your childs benefit. You child will get more from any other league than this one. Don't waste your time or money. Especially your childs time.
