Similar - was assigned this company through my home warranty company. It's been over a month for them to find parts for my name brand dishwasher; then they couldn't figure out how to cut off the water to the dishwater. Clearly they don't have any idea what they are doing - try someone else! Another company fixed it on the first trip.

my home warrenty company sent Appliance Doctor to my house to fix my dryer...as it was not heating nor drying my clotes. When calling App. Doc to schedule an appointment, he completely was having another conversation with someone on a walkie talkie while I was trying to talk to him, then when he finally came over to my house, he was rude and didn't even fix the problem. now I cant even get him to answer his phone to talk to him. I highly suggest that you NOT use him.

I had the same problem as stated in the other review. I paid the service call fee, the repair person came out and charged me, but never told me what the problem was, instead said there were 4 possible problems. I had to call them back to have see when they could fix it and the date kept getting pushed out further and further. To make matters worse, after having it assessed by another company, I found out it was a completely different issue than the 4 previously hypothesized. Advice: It pays to check the Better Business Bureau prior to using a company.

The first (and hopefully last) experience I have had with "Appliance Doctor" was recently when my dishwasher started leaking. I called my home warranty protection company who assigned "Appliance Doctor" to my claim. The technician told me he would be at my house between 9-10:00 a.m. He showed up at 10:05 when I explained to him earlier I somewhere to be at 11:00. He diagnosed the problem but said he didn't have the part needed to fix it and would have to call me to reschedule for another day because he was "swamped." That was 5 days ago. I paid him the $60 deductible only because I thought they were a reputable company since they were referred through my home warranty. He never called. I had to call them to reschedule an appointment. The day of the appointment, the technician was a no-call, no-show. When I called back to find out where he was, he told me, "a service call is a service call, we were going back there as a courtesy." Where was the "service" in that "service call?" My dishwasher is still broken. I paid $60 for nothing more than a headache. If these are the regular people my home warranty company uses, I'm canceling my policy. Save yourself time and hassle, find someone else.
