I went into the salon to get my long hair layered. There were 2 people in the salon, a man and a woman (whom I assumed were married and the owners). The lady sat me down to cut my hair. She didn't even wash it! As I was getting my hair cut I felt as if something weren't right with what she was doing. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, since everyone has their technique. As I looked around I noticed that there weren't the normal things that salons have such as name brand shampoo racks to sell (even Supercuts sells this stuff), and that the hair products that they were using were LA Looks hair gel.

After she was done cutting my hair, she didn't style it. She handed me a mirror and asked if it was okay. I looked and I was speechless. Speechless because I was pissed at the wreck she did to my hair. I was charged $35 for the haircut! I could have gone to supercuts or one of those places and gotten a better cut than that, not to mention a wash and style.

Never, never, never go to this place. It may as well be run out of a garage by a 12 year old girl, because that was the skill level of the person cutting my hair.

I went there to get my long hair layered. I sat down, and the stylist did not wash my hair (any beauty school will teach you that this is necessary). After she was done cutting, she did not style my hair (which is normal when you get your layered). I looked at the back of my hair and it was horrible. It was not even, and it certainly did not look like layers. I went home and cried it was so awful! They charged my $35, which I regret giving them.
Also, in this salon they were not selling brand name products like normal salons would (Redken, Biolage, etc) and the products sitting on the counters were things such as LA Looks. High price, low quality. Low end salons carry these product, I have never been in a salon that doesn't carry these products.
I had to go to another salon to get my hair fixed the following day. It cost me over $100 to fix the mess. The new stylist confirmed my feelings about the haircut (I didn't go into detail verbally, they could see how bad it was). They even suggested that I file a complaint with the board of cosmetology.
Bottom line, don't bother walking into the front door and wasting your time. It's a matter of time before they close their doors permanently due to incompetence.

Well this place is amazing! Been going here for over 2 years now! I am very picky on who does my hair and I can get very angry when some one messes it up. My hair is very easy to do but most places have found a way to mess it up from the low end franchises to high end salons to the point that some long hairs are left over and I have to fix it when I get home or find some one to fix it A .S. A .P. At Jesslyns I have never had a bad hair cut. First hair cut was done by Miss Sally the owner " Rosalinda" I believe her name is. She is so friendly and out going great person to have a conversation with she did a great job on my hair. The second time I was there Miss Sally was busy doing a young ladies hair but she said that Franklin can cut it for me ( I didn?t make an appointment I just walked in) I was skeptical because like I said I am very picky on who cuts my hair. HE DID AN AMAZING JOB. I have been going to FRANKLIN ever since ( for over 2 years every 2 weeks), He gets to know you as a person not just another customer just like the rest of the staff there. Very friendly people they know what they are doing very professional very reliable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommended Jesslyns there on the corner of Warmsprings and Jones, and you know I have to recommend Franklin he is the best, you will not be disappointed! Prices are great low end prices high end results. Check it out you will not be sorry. Tell Franklin Jay sent you. or check out the rest of the staff Miss Sally the owner or RJ a hair stylist, sorry to the rest i am not good with names, hehehehe
