I was at Basic High this weekend and stopped by to take a look at a game going on...I do not have a child in the league. The name of the team playing was bad boys...it should be called bad coach!! The reason..it looked like the game was more about his ego then about the kids. A couple of the kids only got to play two defensive plays or so...and the end of the game, and that was only because the coach on the sideline kept yelling out to remind him that some of the kids hadn't gotten to play at all... the head coach would shake his head no...then yell out for other kids on the sidelines to come back in again. Maybe the coach, on the sidelines should be the head coach, because at least he seemed to care about the kids...how sad for the kids who arent allowed to play after going to practices and looking forward to the game etc. What message does this send to the kids...work hard...no reward...you are not good enough etc...

I have watched youth soccer in the area and all of those coaches seemed to be cognicent of allowing all the kids equal time on the field...isn't that the way it should be???

Pros: none

Cons: teaching bad values to the kids...
