This is my third visit here and I have been more than happy with the visits so far. I appreciate how much they care about my pets and how gentle they are with them. I could not be any more happier with the services that they have been providing to us. We will continue to come here and use this animal hospital.
It is a very nice and clean place with all the modern facilities -they had digital x rays and laser too. The Dr I do not remember his first name but last name is Chahal is very well spoken, very knowledgeable and had very good bedside manners. He told me so many things about my dogs that I even don't know and none of my previous vets had told me. This is the first time I saw someone do a thorough exam on my hyper dog, otherwise its just checking the heart and lungs. Dr Chahal looks very young but there is a lot of confidence and experience behind his words. The staff is so friendly and willing to help. The other Dr was explaining somethings to someone in the reception area , looks very knowledgeable too.

Ace Animal Hospital on Mowry, Fremont is fast getting a bad reputation for bad veterinary services. I feel like they are ripping me off. The vets Dr Chahal and Aulick don't know what they are doing and they are very hard to understand. I took my dog to them and they couldn't figure out what is wrong. They charged me over a $1000 and didn't have a clue. My dog caught a second infection at their little clinic. This is not a real vet, they are a small hole in the wall place for gettting your dog's parvo shots. They shouldn't be practicing and need to be shut down. The place is filthy dirty, they don't clean properly. Ace Vet is the worst vet in the bay area and they are highly incompetent and unethical. They will bleed you dry by trying to extract every single penny out of you with unnecessary things and procedures. Ace Animal Hospital is in the wrong business and they should work on old beat up cars instead.

I have a Chi that was really sick, so out of desperation, I took my dog here. Worse decision EVER!!!!!!!!!
Here is the facts:
* Chi went in and was told by the Dr. he would require a night stay w/ xrays $588
* Dr., told us he still had the poops but they needed to do x-rays and then we could pick him up.
When I called to see if he was ready, both doctors could not tell me if they did the x-ray or not. The dog had to stay overnight again. $288
*Next day- no x-rays were done yet in the morning when I checked in. Later that afternoon, they called us to go there so we could speak with the main doctor.
** the chi has a blocked small intestine and will require emergency surgery..$1000+ cash up front. We were told came back tomorrow w/ a decision. Bill $488 for this visit. PLus the doctor said it would be $250 a day to keep him there.
Next day we picked up the dog, he was lathargic, unable to walk, he was bleeding from his bottom, unable to eat or drink.
He was worse than when I brought him in the first time.
We found a doctor the following Monday, and with no support from the either Doctor from ACE, they refused to tell the new Doctor what was actually done to the dog and the x-ray to prove there was a blockage.
One day later, the dog was drinking and walking, the following day, he was also eating.
The chi was misdiagnosed and was giving a mixture of drugs that should of not been mixed, making the dog worse than before.
So these Doctors know what to give dogs and cats that make them appear sicker than they are in return getting more money out of pet owners.

I have been coming to Ace Animal Hospital for all my emergency pet needs. They are so loving to my pets and they really truly care about the safety and health of your animals.
I'm sorry to say the last 2 experiences were BAD:
Trip 1: Brought Mr. T in with a swollen lip, that turned out to be a puncture from overgrown canine teeth. Vet had no clue of this common problem, simply prescribed liquid Antibiotic, OVER $70. I ended up with claws stuck into my arm. Mr t. is usually a lover, not aggressive. Vet had to reorder pills, $25 for same thing, hmmmm. Vet missed the ball and misdiagnosed this common problem.
TRIP 2:
Infection not gone...another round of antibiotics. After the exam, as the Vet's leaving, I ask him to look at the big gaping hole in Mr T's lip with the tooth sticking in (he didn't see it?!). Oh yea, that's a COMMON problem with Siamese Point Lynx, their canine teeth keeps growing, he says as he tweaks his jaw (Like that's going to fix it?!). He then squirts some surgery glue into the hole. I ask, won't the tooth just puncture it again? Oh no, this will work. Another wrong diagnosis and more meds!
Fast forward: huge infection, tooth's broken the glue, gaping hole, miserable kitty. I turn to the Internet. this is common! Filling the hole does NOTHING! I'm leaving on a business trip, I call upset and ask for them to order antibiotic. Pills are too big, sooo, you guesed it, they have to order liquid, OMG! I just want my kitty better, so I reluctantly agree.
$75 later, time again for the liquid nightmare! My nephews have to wrap Mr T. in a blanket, with just his head sticking out, and force feed him, stuff spewn ALL Over, and they could only get 1/2 the medication into him! I come home and discover, this stuff makes my cat foam at the mouth with strings of saliva, AND this is common...it's on all the boards! oh and infection's worse.
Where is the compassion, and why would he order something that makes a cat with a lip infection FOAM at the mouth? WHY WOULD HE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! I am now into this for almost $500, and all I have is a traumatized cat with a horrible resistant infection.
Staff is nice, but there have been a few major issues lately, one ending in my brother's cat of 15 years being ""put down"" unnecessarily, now this! You guys were so good, what's going on? How very disappointing, obviously time to reconsider! I'm going in tomorrow...I'll keep you posted! : (
Oh, my past reviews were a 5....says something!
You are the first Vet's office that my dog enjoys coming to. Very good price for great care.
Great Doctors and staff that are knowledgeable.. Keep up the good work.
Today I laid my dog to rest, It will be the third one in a year. We also come here because we had to lay our cat down. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The girls are awesome that work here and I love the doctors. Thank You to all the staff

I took my maine coone kitty here and the vet was puzzled about what breed she was. I kept saying the breed, but the vet acted like I was talking Martian. I think he didn't know much about cats. He obvioussly didn't have any cats. The exam was very limited and he was more concerned about doing unnecessary tests and treatments on my kitty. Later he misdiagnosed my cat as having cancer when all she had were allergies. Buyer beware...I recommend you try somewhere else with more experience and better communication skills. Thank god I didn't go ahead with the treatment or put my cat to sleep. The hospital is very small and stuffy and has a strong urine odor. They make you wait and wait forever.
