My experience with this contractor was through a home warranty service in the summer of 2009. They changed a compressor on my AC unit. When the owner of the "company" came out to diagnose, he was so unprofessional and was leaving the premise of my property without discussing with me what was wrong with the AC. i had to follow him to his truck, got him to open his window and questioned him like an investigator (pulling teeth would have been easier). they ended up changing the compressor, but only 4 weeks later (temp were scorching high). Unfortunately, they did a terrible job, by forgetting to place a certain filter on the new compressor, which failed a year later secondary to this mistake. i knew the latter because i got another contractor (and actually got a 3rd one later) to diagnose what is going on with the unit this summer. They both told me that the compressor should be under warranty and that i should contact the person who installed it last year (that is Seaton Heat & air). interestingly, Seaton never gave me any paperwork after completion of the job. actually i had no evidence that anyone did anything on my unit. i believe that his interaction was with the home warranty company, whom i contacted to get the name of the contractor (Seaton). I finally called Seaton and we got into a heated argument on the phone, during which he admitted that not installing the filter was a mistake. He initially told me that the compressor comes with a 30 day warranty, then he changes his statement and states (in another phone call) it was still under warranty. It has been 4 weeks without AC. the compressor is supposedly coming from a town nearby (in the same state, 2 hours away). Now i cannot get him to call me back.
I am exploring my options at this point. Until something straighten this individual, be careful and stay away. Do not forget this name, it means trouble.

When I called the owner, he flat out refused to even look at it. I am paying to have another HVAC guy fix Seaton's mistake. our a/c had been running straight for 24 hours so we called seaton heat and air to come out to our house and the owner came out and didnt know what was wrong. he told me that it was just "hot and humid". 2 days later our unit broke and he would not answer our phone calls and this has been going on for 2 weeks now and he is hard to get to come out to the house to even do the job and he also does not know whats wrong with our unit. he seemed pretty incompetent especially to be the owner of the business and not know what is wrong with our a/c unit.
