You get what you pay for. If you want quality, great tasting sandwiches or soups, Boulevard is the place to go. I can't speak for their bagels or coffee, but their huge cookies, sandwiches (my favorites are the Breakfast and the Porchetta) and fresh soups are amazing (their French onion soup is the only French onion that I have ever had that isn't too salty).

Even as a student, the prices are reasonable: around $3 for a cup of soup with bread, and a little under $5 for chips and half a sandwich (a generous portion). The salads are a little more at around $8 each, but still completely reasonable considering the ingredients.

The service is great as well: the other day, it took a long time to get my order of soup, so they gave me a free cookie! And even though they're packed at lunch every day, the staff is always very friendly and seem to be generally pleased with their jobs. I have yet to visit the Rivermarket location, but both the original Heights location and the UAMS location have been consistently great at every visit.

Boulevard Break Co. is okay, but it's not worth the price. It's conveniently located in the River Market, but I recommend getting coffee or a bagel at one of the little nameless coffee shops around it. I just wasn't very impressed with the food considering what I had to pay.
