My son was taken in the custody by DHS Jan.4th 2008. I have been trying like heck to get him back home. Everything was going good until his Doc. changed his meds. This made his ADHD, OCD & his bipolar worse. DHS said ?he had a breakdown,? so DHS & his therapist and meds doctor. Thought it would be a good idea to seen him there. My mother & father were his foster parents and they did not have a say. Mill creek is a state own facility run by DHS. Let us get back to quality of service there. On the second day my son was there, he got a black eye & cut under his eye & across his nose, & on his forehead. No one called us to tell us what happen. We found out a week later. His DHS caseworker did not know anything about it, until I told them, & he in their custody. They should be calling everyday to check on him, since according to them "" he had a breakdown." He's been there for 28days and we only had one visit no phone calls. Every time I call there, his therapist is not there so I leave message after message, and no one will return my call, my mom dose get a little information but not much. The worst part is that he's being abused physically, mentally & emotional. We can't tell him that, we love, miss him and he is just 10. His bd. is Thurs. There are many Africans Americans that work there (was rude to white kids) & are there to get ?treatment?. The therapist and nurses are not looking out for what's in the best inserts of my son. Because all my son wants to do is come home DHS has, had my son in their custody for 11 months. He has been at my mom's for 10months. When we did get a visit with my son it was 18 days into "the treatment" and he still had signs of a black eye & cut under his eye & nose. He told us that they the other Africans American boys there that would kick his a**. An Africans American girl in his classroom bent his thumb all the way back and he still has problems with it hurting. In general, I do not recommend this place to anyone

Pros: Can't talk or see my son. Can't get a hold of the therapist to talk to her about his problems before he was forsed ther.

Cons: The staff was favoring the blacks, the black kids was being bullies..

My girlfriend has been in Millcreek for three months now, and at first it seemed like a good place because she needed it and she was also court ordered to do it. But as time went on as i talked to her more and more we started to realize that the whole entire staff was Africain Americans this was no suprise being in southern Arkansas many Africain Americans reside their, thats not the problem, the problem is that they are rude to white women and they abuse their authority. Now im not saying the whole staff is to blame but most of them are i have witnessed it time and time again that they may give a girl of darker color a privlage that they wont my girlfriend who is white and beautiful. The girls are sapose to get home passes every 2 weeks if they are good as a kind of privlage to help them bare with the separation from family and friends. These home passes and my help have been the only thing keeping my girlfriend going stong and now they are taking them away from my girl. Her mom hase gotten a job in Texas theirfore not being able to get her for home passes, but they were allowing a close friend go and get her for the weekend pass every so often when she earned it, but the last time that she hade one the theropist Mrs.Hazel did not like the friend that her mom hade intrusted to get her and did not like the way that she was picking her up so she hade decided to take away her home passes completly. this would have been ok if their was a good enough reason but the theropist simpley didnt like the friend and over stepped her boundries and has accomplished to stirr up a whole bunch of trouble for herself. The friend is the daughter of a very good lawyer and is going to take the facility to court for the way they and my girlfriend has been treated. i? would not recomend this facility to anyone who cares about their kids, I would try and find another place. this is my first message
