I honestly couldn't agree more with the first review.
I have been going there since July 2008 and I absolutely love going there. Every person that works there is friendly and knowledgable about addictions. And they aren't people that will be in that business and then go do drugs outside of work. All staff is required to have monthly UA's. And most of them have had a past of addiction. I was addicted to pain killers (Lortab/Percocet/OxyContin/etc..). And haven't touched them at all since I've been going. Except for the methadone, of course. Well, actually i had ONE dirty UA, but it was alcohol. (it was my birthday...)
So, if you or someone you know is struggling with an addiction and you're in the Wichita area, definitely go. It may be expensive, but it's better than wasting your money on drugs!! But if you do decide to go, make sure you stay clean. Because you get monthly & random UA's, a yearly blood/TB test. If you fail a test, you will phase down a level. The longer you attend with clean tests, the more "take-homes" you get. Take homes are daily doses that you get to take home instead of having to come to clinic to get it. They are very very nice to have. And if you decide to go, and the dosage that they put you on isn't cutting it and you're having withdrawls, you can go up (up *automatically* to 5mg for the liquid, & up *the following week* 10mg for the diskettes). But you have to do a Withdrawl test. They take your blood pressure, and ask you a bunch of questions to determine your level of withdrawl. To make sure you're not just tryin to score more methadone. Because if you have too much, you can get withdrawls more frequently and they are harder to get rid of. So just be careful.
I wish you well in your journey. And I hope you stay clean and live a happy and sober life!
Good luck!

Pros: Friendly & knowledgable staff that can relate to clients

Cons: Kind of expensive ($9-10 per daily dose) & no insurance

Metro specializes in Methadone Maintenance Treatment for anyone that has a problem with opiates like heroin, oxycontin, lortab, percocet, morphine, etc.

Metro is located in the center part of Wichita. The staff are all very friendly, knowledgable, and pretty much give you the impression that they actually care about you and will do anything they can to assist you on your road to recovery.

I myself am in recovery, and I know that without the help I have received from the amazing people at Metro treatment, I might not be alive to even type this review. If anyone reading this is in the Wichita KS area, and you are struggling with opiate addiction, I ask you to please do yourself (and your loved ones) a favor and call Metro Treatment. There's no better high than the one you will get from taking back control over your life and breaking the deadly cycle of addiction.
