My wife and I just bought a desktop from EZ-PC. Jesse did a great job of answering all of our questions and took great care of us. We ended up with a customized system that fit our families needs and desires. The price was better than we would have paid elsewhere plus we got the system we actually wanted. We are happy with our purchase and the service we received and would highly recommend EZ-PC to anyone who is in the market for a new computer system. I have no beef with Best Buy or other Box stores but believe it is important to support our local small businesses when we have the opportunity. You won't be sorry if you stop in and visit with Jesse at EZ-PC.

Prices are %70 higher than available on Newegg dot com, from whom they order all their inventory. The management element employs UNCERTIFIED techs and INEXPERIENCED, UNPAID interns on loan from Bryan Career College. The power adapter for my laptop was LOST by them, they refused responsibility and suggested I BUY ONE FROM THEM as a solution. I would rather take my chances with Best Buy's Geek Squad than EVER do business there again.

My customer experience at EZ-PC Topeka has been totally AWESOME. I had downloaded an outlook program over the top of another outlook program and really messed up our email (my husband and I share a computer). I called and spoke with the crew at EZ-PC to get assistance due to my computer illiteracy. They said ??you are on our email program (which by the way is GREAT if you want a personal/professional email address) why don??t you bring your tower in and it will just take us a few minutes to fix?. And it did, they fixed it in a jiffy (I struggled with the silly thing for 2 days before calling them) and because I was an exchange customer, no charge?You don??t find service like that every day.
We bought our desk top there about 8 months ago when our 8 year old HP motherboard completely fried. I made the decision at that time to use their exchange server for email due to professional concerns with a cox, yahoo or Hotmail account. The service/product has been so fantastic that when I was in there this week, my husband and I decided to purchase a laptop and router. We went out of town this weekend and it was great having a laptop to take with us so we could access our email and other programs.
Jesse and his crew have been extremely helpful in all our computer matters and we plan on being EZ-PC customers for a long time. It also brought me great satisfaction to support a locally owned business and to keep the money in Topeka as opposed to supporting one of the big chains that really does not care if I mess up my email or anything else in my computers. I have been extremely happy with the service, the people who have helped us and the products that we have purchased from EZ-PC.

Told it would be a week to 10 days before my computer could be looked at but if I wanted to pay an addtional 35 dollars they could get to it tomorrow. I asked if they did not have a backlog of work would they still charge the 35 dollars and they refused to answer the question. I bought this computer from the less then 6 months ago and this is the best they can do. Also have found out that some of the parts of the computer are sub-standard so I do not expect a long life from this computer. I paid plenty for it.

It is truly amazing that someone would publish such a blatant falsehood...
Allow us to explain what really happened...
First, she brought the laptop into the store in very poor shape. Keys were missing, hinges broken, etc. She wanted us to simply pop some keys back onto the keyboard and re-enforce the broken hinges. We explained that low quality work wouldn't be performed by us. We ordered a keyboard (which she got for half price due to an error in price in her favor), hinges, and a top cover since her current one was cracked in half.
During repair, we discovered that the replacement top cover would not seat correctly due to the abuse the machine had been through. We informed the customer of the finding and she specifically requested that the parts be "fasted together any way we could." We used epoxy. During the fastening, we noticed that the screen began to flicker. We thought we had caused this until she told us that it was a pre-existing condition.
She then asked us to attempt to fix the flicker of the screen. We explained the risks relating to re-opening the case after the epoxy had set. She insisted. We were unable to fully diagnose the cause of the flicker because there was a lot of damage. The repair would have cost more than it would to replace the machine.
The customer returned a final time and first began to pitch a fit over the fact that she owed additional money for the additional repairs and diagnostics that she had requested. We had told her very specifically that these things would incur additional charges and she said she understood and authorized them. She then began to accuse us of causing damage that had been there prior to her first visit such as a scratched screen. She then began to explain how she felt that we were very unprofessional to do the work that she had specifically requested against our advice.
Unfortunately, this is one of those customers that is impossible to please....and wished to punish us for the very attempt to do so.
