Needle Nest is a lovely little quilt shop in the main level of a delightful old Victorian home. The house is surrounded by fragrant flowerbeds and quilts are arranged on the front porch. You are greeted warmly by the ladies when you enter. There is a wonderful variety of fabrics, patterns, kits, quilting templates and lots of samples to give you ideas. As a bonus there is a nice selection of yarn and knitting/crochet patterns in a room located behind the cashier area. I had questions about a specific yarn and got great advice.

The detached garage just outside the door of the yarn room has been converted to a cozy, well-lit classroom. There are sale items in that building so we got to observe a few minutes of a class while we shopped the sales. The teacher and students were very friendly.

The only drawback and reason I didn't give five stars, is because some of the items we purchased were in the back of a tiny closet. The display of items was cute, but there was no room for more than one person to look and barely enough room to turn around. There isn't much room to get past others in the aisles but that's a minor inconvenience.
