These ladies have been altering my clothes for over 15 years. They are very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would highly reccommend them to everyone. The prices are very reasonable. I have lost alot of weight over the years and they have worked miracles on my wardrobe. If there is anything I that I felt like needed tweaking at the time of pick up, they gladly took care of it for me. There are times when I have taken in alterations and they were very back logged, So it may have taken about 2 weeks to get back my garment, but that's the worst of my complaints. I know they get very busy. I could'nt ask for better service!

I have been going to this place every since they were on Westport Rd. They have been alterating clothes for my entire family for 8 years. The owner is sometimes very forward but you can't ask for better quality and/or prices. Visit the website and print a coupon before going to save a couple extra dollars.

I had been a long-standing client until I took a bridesmaid dress in for alterations. Not only was the bridemaid dress hemmed incorrectly but there were oil stains all over the dress virtually ruining it. The owner, Nicolette, tried to deny the stains were from her store which is pathetic considering the dress was in a sealed bag from the dress manufactorer. Not only was I not compnsated for the $200 dress but I was also treated with total disrespect. Unacceptable for someone who had been monthly to bi-monthly a repeat customer. I will never return to her store.

Cons: Amatuer Work At Best

This place RUINED my jeans.
I went in to inquire about having a pair of PRPS Barracuda (Japanese Selvedge) altered. My inquisition was explicitly about whether or not she could taper the leg slightly (1/2") without cutting or otherwise changing the beautiful purple selvedge line on the out seam. This selvedge line is what defines PRPS premium denim. The woman (the owner, I believe) told me it would not be a problem at all and I thought we were in complete understanding. I even reiterated my desire to "keep the selvedge line intact."
When I picked up my pants, I was horrified to find that the selvedge line had been completely cut off of both legs. I almost cried. After a few minutes of her fumbling around in the back, pointlessly looking for the now un-attachable remains she re-emerged with a smile (and NO APOLOGY mind you) to offer to "compensate me on the work for the jeans I'd just dropped off." This job being a simple knee patch. I was shocked. She didn't even offer a refund on the taper job. These were $354.00 jeans, made of buttery Zimbabwean cotton, woven by hand on vintage looms in Japan and they are now effectively worthless. This place also operates a little denim and lady's fashion boutique next door, so for this to happen to such a highly sought after and collectible pair is just ridiculous. I could not possibly be more disappointed.
I had gone in for a few minor alterations and had been, for the most part, happy with their work.
Needless to say, this unfounded level of disregard for my specific request, coupled with a complete lack of understanding as to why the selvedge line was important in the first place has left me no choice but to once again begin a new search for a decent tailor in Kansas City. I'm beginning to lose hope.
