Petland Des Moines

Ran into this store yesterday and I'm feeling the need to write a review because I'm still reflecting on my experience.
I couldn't help but notice the wall of puppies that were in wire cages with no toys, no beds. Then there was the dachshund in the middle of the concrete floor on display, so desperate looking...once again, no warm bed or toys. I wish for those dogs to attain freedom very soon and for Petland to leave the selling of puppies to the Humane Society.

I purchased a chihuahua from Petland WDM back in April. She is amazing, very smart, well mannered,and very healthy. Listening to all this talk about the Humane Society stricking out at petland is sad! I also purchased a dog from the Humane Society years ago and only had it a few weeks before it bit a child in the face and was very agressive. Needless to say we had to put it down!!! Not every petland is ran the same there are good and bad! There are petlands that do care about who their breeders are and what their living conditions are like, there are alot of good breeding facilities out there. Every puppy deserves a good home no matter where they come from!!
