Crosswinds Therapy - I am so thrilled to have discovered Summer Rhee-Pizano. She has an amazing approach which combines the skills of physical therapy, acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as her ability to really understand and visualize my discomfort and physical challenges. Four years after breaking my pelvis I had become very limited in my flexibility and rotation of the hip. My posture had become particularly bad - I stooped rather than stood upright and experienced difficulties moving from a sitting to a standing position. Summer has helped me to regain my posture and improve the rotation and flexibility of my hip. Her ability to understand and visualize my problems has resulted in her being able to make such a difference when treating me. My previous physical therapists had so little to offer and really did not seem to have any inspiration or desire to really fix my problems !

Even though we've moved away from Santa Cruz, I will always remember the help that you gave me when half of my body went numb from an offset neck vertebrae. I still remember the techniques/exercises that you taught me to help correct and relieve the stress problems that I have in my neck. I still give myself trouble sometimes when I work a long day and forget to maintain a good posture; however, with my memory of your help and guidance, I've learned to heal my injuries at night. Thank you, Summer, for your wisdom, compassion, and great healing abilities!

Summer Rhee-Pizano has been my physical therapist for about two years. I had initially gone to Summer after seeing a few doctors who were unable to alleviate the pain I was experiencing. She used a combination of physical therapy and acupuncture which healed my condition. Ms Rhee-Pizano was recommended by a friend, and I truly believe my condition would have continued with the need for cortisone shots had I not found her.

Summer Rhee-Pizano is one those rare treatment providers you look to hold on to for life. She is highly professional, knowledgeable, effective, caring, and possesses good listening skills.
Ms. Rhee-Pizano is committed to getting results each visit and to teaching patients how to promote healing with exercises they can do between visits and after treatment.
In addition, to being a physical therapist, Ms. Rhee-Pizano is a licensed acupuncturist, thereby, allowing optional modes to therapy, or multi-modal treatment.
I am very glad to have Ms. Rhee-Pizano as part of my treatment team as I know I have one of the best physical therapist/acupuncturists in the SF bay area. I highly recommend her.
