I'm a regular at Quiet Zone after a series of great experiences with them working on my Hondas. They are friendly, informative, and fast, doing great work at reasonable prices. I had a torque converter solenoid replaced at a fraction of what it would have cost at a Honda dealer, and the car runs beautifully. The Honda place told me I would need an entire new transmission! I think the dates on the two negative reviews of this place must be older, but as of July 2011, I find Quiet Zone to be a great place with extremely friendly people and reasonable pricing. They're doing a ton of business, so I must not be the only one who thinks that. While I've been down there getting my car worked on, I've seen numerous people wanting emissions tests in and out the door in ten minutes, without a single one of them approached about any extra work needing to be done. I'm 62 and have a long experience with garages working on my cars, and I've never found a place I trusted more than Quiet Zone.

I moved to Bantam last summer (2008) and live very close to where they are located. When I needed a mechanic and asked around, several different people told me NOT to go to Quiet Zone. The main reason kept coming up that they rip off people and tell them that they need certain things fixed when they really don't. And that last person I asked works for a auto parts place. I went elsewhere and certainly glad I did!!

I went to Quiet Zone in Bantam to get my CT emissions test done on my car. My vehicle is in good shape and runs totally fine. I was about to get my car tested and the guy told me that he couldn't bc he thought my car had an exhaust leak. He told me that he needed to put it on the lift and diagnose it before he would test it and that was going to be $186. I said no thank you and told him that I would have my boyfriend check it at home. The mechanic then asked me if my boyfriend was qualified to check or fix the exhaust. I told him yes, he's a mechanic himself and would gladly diagnose & fix my problem for less then $186. The man then was very rude and told me I didn't need to BS him and that I could get try to get my car tested elsewhere. The car was checked, the exhaust was fine and I suspect that Quiet Zone was trying to scam me.

Business Response:

State Emissions Program Sorry for your experience, We simply follow the rules of a contract we signed with the department of motor vehicle & Applus Technologies, the company that administers the program.. If another test facility tested a vehicle with an exhaust leak they chose not to follow the rules of the program. NEVER would we attempt to sell someone repairs which was not needed. Please review the numerous other reviews we have on merchant circle, yahoo and many other internet sites about the quality and perfection of our work. I would appreciate it if you could contact me at your earliest convenience so I can get more details of your experience and make sure no one else leaves my facility feeling as you did. Thanks Howie Fischthal

Serviceman called me on my cell while my car was being serviced with urgent repairs that had to be done that day. He wouldn't really take "no" for an answer and he spoke so quickly, persuasively, and so much it was hard to get a word in.

Pros: you'll have your car in good shape by the end

Cons: you may pay a lot more than you anticipated
