Saturday night we decided to head to Vito's unfortunately we didn't have reservations, but the hostess accommodated us very quickly, we waited at the bar for only ten minutes before we were sat, and we will definitely be back, service was great, food was excellent, and we didn't wait long at all. We can't wait to go back!

We went here after a hockey game with a group of 12. 4 kids, 8 adults. We asked before we were seated if they had a kids menu, they said no, but you can order a side of pasta for $5.00. Well we did that and the bill was $8.95 for a side of penne pasta with butter!! Ridiculous!! We didn't want to make a big deal in front of the other adults without children so only mentioned it to our table but did not tell our server to change the price, thought it would be too tackey with our guests! Their salads were just ok, not very big, meals not great! We won't go again. It is too bad there isn't anything great for families with children to go after a game at the XL Center!!!

Pros: Foccia bread

Cons: too expensive, food not that great!

We went there after a hockey game with a big group, four kids, 8 adults. We weren't sure if we should stay with the kids, looked a little fancy and expensive. When we asked about a kids menu they said no they didn't have one, but that the kids could order a side of pasta for $5.00. The menu prices were high. We thought the food was just ok. The price of the side of pasta for each kid was $8.95! Rip off!! Small bowl of penne!!!! Are you kidding me! I didn't want to embarrass the other members in the group that didn't have kids, but myself and few of the other adults were not happy! The best part of the meal wtih the foccia bread served to the table! Wouldn't go back! No wonder Hartford can't make it, where if the reasonably priced restaurants to go as a family after a hockey, basketball, or concert!! Get a grip!

it's a nice location, although if you don't use their valet you may walk a little. HOWEVER, our server was terrible. she was borderline rude and nowhere to be found when we needed something.

the food was NOTHING SPECIAL. not worth the price and it took almost an hour to get it.

there are plenty of other grreat places in hartford with better food and good service.

I work in downtown Hartford Vito's at lunch time is hopping. Their eggplant pizza and chicken pesto pizza are incredible, can be a bit loud at lunch time but well worth it. Reservations are not required but suggest you make them.

I personally love Vito's by the Park. It is admittedly small but I find it cozy. The service is exceptional and so is the food, although it is a bit expensive. Make sure you try the owner's special dip with the bread. I've tried to make it at home with little success.

Vito's is located in the heart of Hartford, across from the Bushnell. Parking is dicey, but they offer valet parking for only $5! If you have a few extra dollars and want good food and good service. Vito's is the place to be.

We have gone here a couple times and the food is amazing and the staff is great. I had a salad that was fresh and came with a very tasty home made dressing. They serve wonderful warm bread with olive oil. We sat outside on the little sidewalk area that you can sit and it was very nice.

The service and the food at Vitos were both good, nothing out of the ordinary. If you looking for a restaurant with atmosphere, however, Vitos is a great place to go. Its very quiet, making it a nice choice for a dinner date.

Vitos is a great place to go before catching a show at the Bushnell. The atmosphere is cozy and decorated with soft warm hues. The menu is creative Italian and they have an extensive wine list. I recommend the Osso Buco, you can cut it with your fork. The broccoli rabe was tasty but a little overcooked. The creme brulee for dessert was out of this world!

What a fantastic location. Outdoor tables right across the street from Bushnell Park at sunset. You won't find a finer spot for a meal in all of Hartford. The food and wine were perfectly satisfying and the service friendly. Great selection of seafood including oysters.

This was an highly disappointing experience. The room itself is rather nice, but unfortunatley lit up as if the FBI was going to cross examine you at any moment. I had the carpaccio and a pasta dish with sausage and penne in vodka sauce, both of which were stunningly without taste. Though the pasta was cooked perfectly.
A nice collection of chianti's on the wine list.
Ho hum.........
