This local family owned Asian market provides a truly unique and eclectic shopping experience. The prices are unbeatable even compare to that of Meijer's International Food aisle. If you are looking for an authentic flare of Asian cuisine and grocery, this is the right place for you. The store also carries a large selection of stir-fry sauces, condiments, and cooking wine. Apart from restocking my jasmine rice, gourmet ramen noodles, and potstickers, I have always enjoy browsing at different types of food ingredient in there. This unique grocery store has also allowed me to catch a glimpse into the wide-palate Asian gastronomical delights. Since they had moved into a bigger store off Waller Ave, I have also noticed a significant increase in non-food merchandize ranging from woks to pans, chopsticks to dishes, and much more. Language barrier is not really an issue if you go there during the evenings (after 5pm I think). The owner's son is usually there and he grasps an impeccable English speaking skill.

If you are in the US military and need food from this store make sure you change out of your uniform first. The only employee on duty made it very clear to me, twice, that she did not have any appreciation for service members. You may want to learn a little Chinese, also. Words like "Dumplings" will only receive a grunt while you are ignored. Don't get me wrong, after deploying to a hostile country for 16 months it's nice to be able to hold on to that special feeling when you return "home." If you can get past these kinds of things then you will find what appeared to be a large selection of Asian groceries. Of course, you won't find it at 828 Lane Allen Road because they moved. I thought about telling the lady inside that possible customers are being misdirected but since "dumpling" did not compute, it seemed a real waste of effort so I skipped it. I am big on customer service and quality. I cannot speak to the quality of their products but their service was fantastically horrible and surprisingly insulting. My dad visited China a few years back and said that everyone was really friendly. Now I know where the rude ones went.
