The Columbia Theatre in St. Helens OR has been my family Theatre for year and we have enjoy the Theatre. The Columbia Theatre is now under new Ownership and has lost the Home Town feeling. The employees are still nice and stuff but they no longer treat you as part of the family. The Management has completely changes. Chris (The Theatre Ogre) how has been part of the Threatre sense my youngest son was born in 2005 is no longer there. I ask what happen to him but I give a cold shoulder and I'm sorry I don't know form the new Manager Kit It was weried to come in and not see his big smile and handshake. Now when you walk in the employees smile but there is no warmth behind them. The Theatre feel the same as if you were to go into a Century or Regal Theater in Portland, "Hi, give us your money and go watch your movie", Please I don't know if the new owner well read this but I want no no My Family want the Columbia Theatre that we love back.

You can't get any better than this place in a small town...a balcony area for 21 and over with beer served on certain nights. It's cozy with I think only 1 theater, the parking is downtown style, and there's almost velvet like material everywhere...very old style and neat for a date night!

This is a great theater to view any of the big screen productions. They have a budget matinee before a certain time on some days. This is where the movie Halloweentown was filmed. It is a fun place.

Great little restored Theatre with rocker chairs downstairs and a balcony for adults. We have enjoyed this old but clean and friendly theatre each time we visit St Helens. Would highly recommend it as it is as if stepping back in time. Quaint, never over crowded, reasonable priced good old fashioned family entertainment. For someone that hates to go to the movies, I have really enjoyed this place.

Pros: CLEAN, FRIENDLY, NOT EXPENSIVE, COMFORTABLE

Cons: A LITTLE OFF THE BEATEN PATH
