I love it here! It has a beautiful setting and great food- the perfect end to a perfect day! One of the prettiest places to dine in Bend, one of our favorites.

They have pretty good food and drinks. It is nice place to go with the family and enjoy and evening out. Make sure to get a place by the window or sit out on the patio.

My husband and I went to Bend for our anniversary. We are from Portland and are total foodies. We went to Anthony's because the restaurant had a nice presentation on the outside, was situated direction on the deschutes, and they served seafood. When we arrived, there was no one at the hostess table. No one appeared for 2-3 minutes and when she did, there was no eye contact or smile. She told us that it would be a minute even though we had reservations. While we waited about 10 minutes for our table, 4 other parties were seated. Finally we were taken to our table on the patio. Unfortunately there were no lights outside other the a couple flood lights on the top of the building. It made it challenging to read the menu. Our waiter finally came over, one again there wasn't any eye contact of smile offered and half of what he said was spoken while he was walking away from the table. It was beyond being rushed, it was indifference. At the end of the night (30 minutes later), after he forgot our chowder and brought it at the end of the meal, we weren't even offered dessert.
As for the food...the calamari was breaded and fried nicely, but was extremely salty. The garlic lemon aoli was nice. We split a seafood salad that was delicious, but standard. It had a very nice basal balsamic dressing that was it's stand out feature. The chowder tasted like it was made with unrinsed clam shells. It wasn't grainy, just dirty tasting.
Overall, average food, great view, horrible service.

Pros: easy parking, nice view of the river

Cons: service, lack of patio lighting, inflated prices

Anthony's was recommended to us by locals and they were right. The food was delicious and priced well. We chose to eat inside because of the heat and good not see the river from where we were sitting so if a view of the river is important I would sit outside. Wide selection of foods and wine. The decor was very attractive. Our casual dress fit in perfectly. Some were more dressed up but we did not feel out of place.
