Pretty decent Indian food. They have a basic menu and the prices are very good. I give this place a 2 thumbs up. The staff is friendly and there is never a wait because it is off the beaten path

We went last night and ordered half the menu for our little group and were knocked out by the awesome execution. Incredible flavors. Nice presentation. Surprisingly nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We loved it and I really don't know where some of the negative reviews are coming from below. Although, I am willing to bet they were written by the most picky/annoyingly hoyty-toyty high maintenance restaurant complainers out there. (The kind of people that send everything back and drive a restaurants nuts because they have a glitch in their head.) Because, our experience couldn't have been better.

Get out and support these guys!!!!! Great food! If you've never tasted Indian cuisine, you have to try it.

Pros: Awesome Food. Great Service.

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Tried it twice but both meals were poor. Tiki masalla was bland and the vindaloo seemed overcooked. Even the naan was subpar. We would like to support the restaurant but unfortunately, we won't return.

My family and I eat take out from here once a week and there is something for everyone. I like the chicken korma with big chunks of chicken, my son loves the tikka masala and my husband usually gets some sort of saag. Perfect for us to pick up and bring home with a video. We also love their naan.

I love Indian food. It's my favourite cuisine. I cook Indian food.

Got Curry was a major disappointment. I think I had their chicken korma which was fine, nothing to write home about, but tasty.

On the other hand, their pakoras were entirely lacking in any sort of Indian flavour, but the dipping sauces were good, so that was also fine. If I had stopped dining then, I would have given the place a 4.

However, I made the mistake of ordering dessert. I ordered kheer. This is rice pudding. Simple recipe. "Got Curry" served something that LOOKED like kheer, but which was absolutely disgusting. Both my friend and I sent ours back after one or two tastes. How can someone ruin rice pudding? It's rice, sugar, milk, raisins and cardamom, maybe some ground nuts, maybe some rosewater. It's easy to make, I make it. Maybe they burned the milk, I don't know. It was absolutely inedible.

I talked to another friend about it, and he also said the kheer he had eaten there was horrible.

The waitress said we'd get the price of the kheer removed from our bills, but it wasn't, and we were rushed out of there (it was a bit after closing time).

So, if you MUST eat at Got Curry, skip dessert. I won't be going back there again for anything.

Pros: Not very crowded

Cons: The food, probably why it isn't very crowded

The food here is delicious. If you like curries with sauces bursting with spicy flavor this is the place for you. Their curry dishes such as Masala, Korma, and Tikka Masala are excellent. Their Vindaloo (very spicy) is very good, which is unusual around these parts. Meats from the Tandoori oven are fresh and juicy, finger lickin' good. Their Naan breads are a must, especially the Garlic Naan.
This must be food that is hand prepared from quality ingredients because afterwards my stomach feels great.
You just don't get great sauces like that out of a bottle.
I've never had a bad meal here, although one of the Chili Pakoras I had was a little more spicy than I bargained for!

Cons: Not open for lunch.

The food is amazing here. Their most popular dish is also their best, the chicken tikka masala. Its owned by an Indian family that have always been so friendly. I've tried a lot of other Indian restaurants in town and this one is by far the best. It is worth the drive out to Milwaukie. Other indian restaurants seem to either be bland or just overly spicey with no real flavor. At Got Curry their dishes have great flavor whether or not they are spicey. It's off the beaten path a bit so most nights it is pretty quiet in there so the service is prompt and it doesn't feel over crowded.

They had one girl working the floor and the food took about an hour. The food was rather average and not really worth the wait. I'm not an expert on Indian cuisine, but I can tell you I'd rather eat at Swagat (for a similar cost) or the Indian food carts down town on 5th, which taste better at half the cost. The atmosphere didn't add anything to the experience at all. The portions were small for the $11-12 price tag and the nan bread was additional. They'd have to cut their costs in half for me to try it again. ..even at that I'd probably go to the carts.

Okay so it's not authentic Indian food but atleast they try. When I went here two years ago it seemed like it was being run by South Indians which ofcourse added to the authenticity of it. But on my recent visit a couple months ago I did not see those people again so I have no idea if their cook is Indian or not. This place is pretty expensive - I spent about twice of what I usually do. I went there on Valentine's Day this year and they were packed! Two waiters seemed to be bustling around handling the entire restaurant which made me forgive them when I didn't get my drinks even after the food arrived. I would dress on the nicer side judging by the crowd that usually goes there. The food is pretty Americanized so if you're expecting your mom's cooking you're going to be disappointed. But if you're looking to satisfy those taste buds that haven't tasted curry in ages, by all means go.
