My husband and I love this place; it is simple, good ambiance, and the hamburger was delicious. Beer plus hamburgers here won't disappoint!

Not only do the Slabtown folks host rocking shows for the peeps in pdx, they are a regional rock outpost.
Worth checking out for shows and for many rad pinball machines.

Slabtown serves a World Class hamburger and the pub atmosphere is old school NW Portland, OR. Pinball machines in every room.
This place is near everything downtown, including most hotels.
The NW neighborhood is happening most of the time, 7 days a week.

They host punk rock shows that are often garage and rock bands.

Portland, OR -
I found another pinball palace with beer. They even have a ping pong table, and many pinball machines.
This NW Portland pub rules, and they have a full bar with stiff cocktails. A full sound system and stage for

Crusty, dirty and AWESOME neighborhood bar with a nice low key atmosphere. Plenty of room far away from the bands to hang out without it being too loud. This bar is like the clubhouse you wish you had as a little kid. Sweet jukebox. Booths, tables and tons of pinball and video games, ping pong, airhockey... AND a photo booth!

Cool shows low dough or No Dough on Wednesdays. This is April the first, but not an April Fools.
Just a coincidence.

Pros: Hosting Free shows almost on a weekly basis now. Rocking.

Cons: N/A

Got some beers quiclky most the time, Ping-Pong action was fast and Furious. Competition from all around showing their stuff on the table-tennis crew's cruise.

Pros: Best Ping-Pong Table inside a Bar in Portland, OR

Cons: Some beers were running dry while I tried to get a pitcher

.

An air hockey table, mucho pinball, and a Ping-Pong table, Nice! I cannot state for sure the number of times this place has saved me from an awful day. Way to go - and even in the middle of setting-up for a show tonight, they managed to keep everybody well serviced at Slabtown.

You rule.

Pros: Music gets wild, Crowd gets crazy, regulars are special

Cons: Only one ping-pong table.

So someone puts his putz in your shot. Alcohol destroys germs, duh. Anyway, this is the kind of place you want to be drinking in on a beautiful Saturday afternoon when most of the fanooks in this town are running around in spandex or going to yogaltes or a farmers market.

The last post is true, I was there and have never been more revolted by a buisness owners attitude.
The guy tending bar is known for showing hig genitalia at work and from my view, did put his member in the girls drink... the OWNER said. "what do you want me to do, fire him?"
no, im sure its okay to put your d**k in a drink...
We will never go back. I tell everyone i know about this story and was glad to see it posted.
I loved the place under its previous ownership but,
I'm glad they think they are so cool that they can violate health codes and voluntarily attempt to spread disease, cause this guy didnt even wash his hands once while we were there.
I'll pass on the hep. c and herpes, thanks but no thanks....
I hope the health dept. gets wind of this...

DONT GO !!! These people do not deserve your money.

The music was okay, it sounded good. The regulars were friendly and very interactive... it was when I saw how the bartender acted when a girl at the end of the bar was unhappy with her shot that i became alittle alarmed. After her complaint he proceeded to take down his pants and pretend to .... nevermind. It was offensive and the bar manager (owner?) who had also witnessed the action only gave the poor girl more grief for complaining. I have never seen this kind of behavior in a bar and granted it was late, to me there is no excuse. My husband and I left before the situation was resolved... We will not be back. There are many bars in the area to be visited and this one is not recommended by us.

This place is alright for a quick drink. The place is smokey, and caters to a lot of small shows that can be loud and annoying if you're there for just a drink. The food is fried and greasy.

I was a regular before the recent change in ownership - and I loved the old staff, the vibe, the whole shebang.

It's changed a lot; the new owners have expanded the menu, and they open earlier. Still a great place for a drink, or to catch some live tunes.

I miss the old staff, but the new bartenders are trying pretty hard to keep it flowing.

Pros: Corner Bar! Rock Venue!

This is the best kept secret in the Portland sports bar scene. The service is ok, but if you are a regular or just plain tip well, its the best in town. Allen is the bartender on saturday and sunday, and loves Georgia football. The best hamburger in town is the slab, and there is only one place you can get it. Hidden treasure for sure, 16th and Marshall
