Jessica has been very helpful to me with my skin issues. I have called her at home numerous times at different times in the day and she always returns my calls right away.

I have very difficult skin to say the least, and this is the best that it's ever looked or felt. The skin products she uses are great! I would recommend Jessica to anyone. Whether they just want to treat themselves or if they have a serious skin condition. She is just wonderful.

Jon has done my hair for approximately 6 or 7 years now and I can't imagine going to anyone else. My mother is quite elderly and has some health issues and also goes to Jon for her hair. Jon is such a gentleman, he also assists my mom to get from chair to chair in the salon, that means so much to me. Again, what a fabulous salon!!

I have other estheticians work on my facials, but I have never experience such "magical touch" than from Jessica. She is really gifted and knowledgeable. My skin looks and feels so good I'm proud to say I'm 40 and enjoying it. The high quality products she uses combined with her many years of experience are the best in town. I will recommend anyone to go and experience one of her wonderful services, you will never regret it!

My husband and I have problem skin, but after seeing Jessica our skin has improved immensely. Jessica's skin care product

I will never go to another salon. Staff is amazing and you feel very welcome and to top it off you can enjoy a cup of fresh coffee, tea, or a glass of wine while you are getting made to look your best!!

I have been going to Susan religiously for my pedicure every four weeks for the last year. The thing I love most about her pedicures is that it actually lasts the full four weeks where as most are trashed in two. My feet have never been so soft, un -callioused, and not only that she is actually helping my nails. I hope everyone gives her a try!

I've been visiting Hair Architects for 2 years now. My good friend, Joesph Pearce, cuts my hair and he is simply the best. I love the staff here at H.A and the owner is such a nice man. What's more? You enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee while you wait. The place is clean, the service is fast and they even have a list of mani-pedi services to offer. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've been a Yuko client for many years at a different NW Ptld salon and was so stressed when my long time stylist moved to the east coast leaving a stylist who, thought delightful, is newly oriented to the Japanese straightening process. And as I have no fondness for that salon in general .... my search for a new hair straightening master was on! Searched Japanese hair straightening on Citysearch and called all the salons listed on the west side... I was most impressed when I called Hair Architects.. Dante took all the time I needed to answer my questions and address my concern that the product that they used was not one that I had used in the past. I decided to take the plunge and scheduled with John Nickell. First... there's parking! The salon was light filled, I was greeted by pleasant people, Jon listened to my history and evaluated my hair. The product that they use is AWESOME. Though they use a different product (made by Matrix?), it is applied just as is Yuko. Comes is a variety of formulas for different hair types and doesn't stink like yuko!. He and Alex 'double teamed' to work both sides of my head at once, thus shortening the the long tedium of this service. Also, product is safe to use with a color enhancer after the neutralization stage. My silver hair has NEVER looked so good. Has so much more 'life' and shine then it ever did after a Yuko visit. And straight as a pin. Also, no 'hard sell' of products...really loved that... Jon, you da man!

I just moved to the Portland area, and was concerned about finding a new stylist. Dante was willing to work me in at the last minute, and I was so glad it was her. She has short hair, like I do and understood what I needed most in a haircut. When I got home my husband was impressed and loved the cut.

I'm so picky with my hair that I won't let my mom who's been a beautician 25 years in LA touch my hair. Because my hair is black, thick and semi-curly, it's difficult to work with. So most of the time, I cut, style, and color myself since I can scare stylists. BUT I decided to give someone else a try at my difficult hair. ALEX did my cut, highlights and toner for me, and she was AWESOME!! She took her time to listen to exactly how I wanted my hair to look like, what color, etc...then she continuously updated me on what was going to happen before she did anything. I know Joseph is good b/c of previous reviews, but I think y'all should give ALEX a try.

I bounced from stylist to stylist for quite some time and had difficulty finding someone who "understood" my hair. I was referred to Joseph Pearce by a friend and have been happy ever since. He is a talented stylist who can work with all types of hair and lengths. Thanks to his awesome cuts I finally have the easy to manage hair I've always wanted! He also does a beautiful job with color. I've referred friends and everyone I referred gives rave reviews as well. If you need a stylist, go to Joseph, he's the best!

I've been going to Joseph for over two years now and couldn't be happier! He has done a wonderful job each and everytime with my hair. You can tell this isn't a job for him, but he actually loves what he does. He takes his time and just doesn't rush through it like several stylists i've had in the past. Joseph also is extremely friendly and all around a great guy.... The place is very clean, and all the workers are friendly and classy. Fawn rocks!!! I went to Fawn with long, dry, brittle,damaged hair, not to mention in need of a good color. I knew I wanted to go shorter, actually I wanted to give my hair to Locks of Love if possible. Fawn knew all the criteria to be able to donate. I was impressed! I had gone to stylist in the past that didn't have a clue. Anyway, she listened to everything I had to say about what type of cut I wanted. My hair turned out amazing and the color, oh the color is gorgeous!!!! I will never go to any one else again. Fawns professional and you can tell she loves what she does!!! I would recommend Fawn to any one!!!!!

By far one of the best hair salons in the Portland area. Great atmosphere and stylists. Dante is fantastic! I found this salon through citysearch after I chose to let my old stylist go and was not disappointed. My first visit I was scheduled with Dante. Getting your hair cut by a new stylist is always a nail biter. It could be bad or good. Lucky for me it was beyond good. Dante was very friendly and fun to work with. I recently went back for a cut and color and this time I decided to go for a shorter style. Never having my hair cut above chin length I was a bit nervous, but Dante's attitude toward the change was very encouraging and I felt confident in getting another great cut and color. I've received numerous compliments from people at work and am sure to tell them where and who I go to. I highly suggest Hair Architects. Even though I am now a loyal Dante client, from observing other stylists at the salon I would feel just as comfortable in their chairs because I've seen what they can do & the response from their clients.

I've been frustrated for years with my hair style. I started looking around on Portland Citysearch and found that Hair Architects had excellent reviews--for good reason. Fawn is terrific. She takes her time and really pays attention to the way your hair grows and moves.

I was so happy with my hair cut and color that I brought my 14-year-old son in for her to work her magic on. He has received several compliments on his appearance. His hair is stubbornly Asian-straight and grows forward. Before Fawn, no one had ever been able to cut it with any style before.

Hair architects is a great place! It was my first time, and Dante was wonderful. She gave me exactly the cut and color I wanted. She listened very carefully to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. She was personable, friendly, and very talented. It was everything I could have asked for! It was especially nice since I have short hair, and so does she, so she knew how to cut it and just what was best. I have curly hair which many stylists don't know how to deal with, and she did a great job! My color is very natural and subtle while also being noticeably better than before. Other stylists in the salon came by to check it out and were very friendly and helpful. Good prices made it a great deal. Dante is great! I will definitely be back, and I will definitely ask for Dante again.

Fawn is truly talented when it comes to hair and nails. She never ceases to amaze me with her eye for the perfect color or hair style. When you're in her chair, she gives you her undivided attention. She listens to and deciphers what look that you're going for. And if you're lost and need suggestions, look no further. Fawn has vision and talent all wrapped up in one fantastic package. She is also a wonderful nail technician, so you can make this your one stop shop to be beautified. When you walk out that door you will be so happy and relaxed!

I had the same hair stylist for about 10 years so she knew exactly how I wanted my hair cut and colored. When she moved I was not a happy camper :) I am VERY picky and I was dreading the thought of finding someone new. A freind of mine told me about Fawn . She said that she was very good. So I gave she a try,
She cut my hair and did a 2 color weave for me and I have to say I was truly happy. I loved my cut and the weave turned out great. I didn't even have to mess with it!

I am so happy and satisfied with the caring and pampering I get everytime I visit my personal Stylist, Joseph Pearce, at Hair Architects! His knowledge of COLOR is AMAZING-- he took my dried out, over-bleached-blonde do, and made a beautiful creation with my hair color that was both dazzling and has a very natural appeal. Joseph's coloring and styling abilities are far beyond anything I've ever received anywhere else, and the price is right!! -especially with my long locks!!
John, the Owner and a marvelous stylist as well, and all the Staff at Hair Architects always make me feel like a member of the family, are extremely courteous, flexible and will utterly spoil you!! I found myself in Portland for an important business meeting and in dire need of a hair cut. I have had my haircut in Paris, New York, LA & Miami and I can honestly say my experience with Joseph Pearce at Hair Architect was fantastic. My hair is reseding and I am a bit self-conscience about it. No longer. Knowing I had limited time he made room for me. I felt like a regular customer and was treated like a king. Now I won't let anyone else cut my hair...too bad I live in Miami...

Staff is friendly, helpful and experienced. The atmosphere is relaxed, just right. I should not recommend that as they will have no time to spoil me !!

I used City Search to find a place to have my color done and a new haircut. I recently moved here from Ohio and needed to find a hairdresser as good as the one I left after 12 years in Ohio. This site was very uselful as the reviews make you feel that someone is giving their best opinion of the business and the stylists. I chose John and was extremely happy that I did. He did what I asked for and went above and beyond my expectations and I left very , very happy. The salon atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. I recommend John and the salon highly. I was happy that I found a place to give me the service that I was used to back home.

I was able to make an appointment with Ernest on a Sunday, which worked perfectly with my schedule. When I got there he greeted me at the front desk--he was so nice, knowledgeable and great to work with. And most importantly, my color looks fantastic! He uses great products and he also gave me a hand/arm massage, so relaxing! I won't go anywhere else for my color now--I'm hooked!

I am a 40 year old woman and I have had the same long hair style for the past 15 or more years. I made an appointment to meet with Jon. I have to say when he finished cutting, coloring and styling my hair, I was literally moved. I began to cry and I told him how beautiful I felt. It was as if he took 10 years off of my face. I was speechless! I couldn?t stop thanking him. I have had my hair cut in New York, San Francisco, Las Angeles and Spain the list goes on and on but I have never had any one take my hair and create such beauty the way Jon did. Cynthia Shepherd has been doing my hair for over 20 years. I have never had a bad hair day! Not many people can say that! She does my husband and step son as well, they are both very pleased. Cynthia has a great gift of conversation, whether it's hair, or current events. She always makes you comfortable. Cynthia has great knowledge about color and highlights. As we get older, God knows we need it! She follows continuing education on styles and products, and it shows! When I leave her salon, I often have lunch with friends who always remark, how great I look. What more does one need!! I just pray she out lives me!! Everyone at the salon makes you feel comfortable and welcome! PS: I love the facials and waxing from Jessica too!! It's a great enviroment, great marriage of people!!

I have been following CYNTHIA around Porland for over 20 years. She has always cut and styled my hair to perfection every time. I have never been dissatisfied with any haircut in TWENTY years. From my spiral perms of the Late 80's to the fun, feathering highlights I have done today I have never been diappointed until...... I moved 80 miles away. I have been traveling to Portland for OVER 10 years to Hair Archietects to have my "Cynthia Cut". Cynthia, even travels see us on occasion, to do our hair, when our schedules have made it difficult to get to her. In the twenty years that I have known Cynthia, my husband and three children have become her clients . In the small community whereI live my family has always been complimented and admired for our haircuts. There is absolutely know one else my family will see. One other thing, Cynthia gives the best DAMN shampoo job, and there is always laughter, an added bonus!!!

Cynthia is a hair designer with the kind of experience and knowledge you can trust!
She loves what she does and does it so well. Cynthia?s an expert in color and stays on the ?cutting edge? of trends. I?ve known her for some time and she consistently listens to what I want, yet gives great suggestions. She always gives lots of ideas on how to style my hair at home and always has the newest hair, & skin products. (I?d definitely classify her as a product maven.) You instantly sense her enthusiasm and love of what she does. Every time I see her I feel joy and look fabulous when I step out of her chair.

Totally professional and comfortable atmosphere, and Ernest gave me the best haircut I've ever had! He listened to what I needed, worked with me and told me what he thought would be best, and it is! I was looking for a long time, and found Ernest at Hair Architects. Wow, no, WOW. I'm telling you, I was amased at how young and beautiful he made me. This is a keeper. He's fabulous with his Ammnoia Free Color and Hi-Lights. He went thru an advanced European method of cutting the hair to it's natual fall, and boy am I impressed at the difference in my hair. He uses Pureology all natural, no water or sulfates, Products. The Salon is beautiful, and the prices are very affordable. This place is a blessing from GOD,and get this, He works on Sunday, and Monday too. :o)

After years at the same salon, I decided it was time for a change. I went on to City Search just to see what was out there. I happened to call Hair Architects, got Joseph on the phone, and ended up in his chair days later. I am so HAPPY I landed there! I have standard shoulder length hair and was kind of in a rut. Joseph allowed me to keep my length but made me feel like I had an AMAZING transformation. Then at my next appointment, we did the PERMANENT HAIR STRAIGHTENING. That was three months ago and I am still LOVING it. My natural hair is inconsistently wavy and a bit frizzy. After the straightening, my prep time has been CUT IN HALF, and the best part is that I don't have to use as much heat on my hair, in turn, making it much HEALTHIER!
Joseph is a DELIGHT to work with. The salon is EASY to get to and I enjoy their FUN LOVING atmosphere. My husband is even seeing him now. Thank you Joseph for my many GOOD HAIR DAYS!!

I have my hair straightened, colored and styled by Joseph at Hair Architects and the result is always amazing. I have very thick naturally curly hair. Joseph convinced me to try permanent hair straightening after years of looking for a hair style. I couldn't be happier. As a busy stay-at-home mom of two young children I need a style that's easy and looks great with minimal fuss. I got more than I ever expected. I constantly get compliments on the look, feel and color of my hair. And the results have lasted for months. I would recommend hair straightening to anyone who's looking for a stylish change. Having never used a website for guidance to a new city,I decided to try CitySearch to help me locate a salon near my home. Having just moved from the midwest I met a women who had been going to the salon that I read about here on CItySearch. I gave it a try with the owner , Jon, and was overjoyed with the results. It is an attractive and mature salon with very friendly stylists. Jon knew his craft and my hair proves it. He repaired a bad color job and cut a new look and style in my hair. The great thing is I can do it myself. I truly recommend Jon and hope your results are as great as mine. Thanks so much Jon!

I recently relocated back home to Portland from So. California and was looking for a hair dresser. After reading the reviews I decided to make an appointment with Joseph. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I have received nothing but compliments from my friends and family. This is the best cut and color I have ever had. My hair looks great and effort is minimal to style it.

This was my first time on web based hair salon advertsing and I thought I would take a chance. Being a bit desperate for some much needed hair help, I am so very happy with the results that I recieved from this salon and the people that work there. I had the owner do my hair and he was the most professional hairdresser I have ever talked to about hair. My hair is incredible and I am most happy that I took the time to go through this experience and I am glad that I chose this particular salon. Joseph Pearce is the best hair stylist and colorist I have ever been to. I am constantly getting compliments on my hair cuts and color! He takes time to listen to what I want to do with my hair, and his suggestions have always worked out to provide me with a great look! Joseph also has a great personality and a witty sense of humor. I'm the pickiest person on the planet and somewhat hard to please. I've been to quite a few places and haven't found someone that I would/could be "faithful" to, until Jessica. She's knowledgable, personable, REAL and honest. She gives the best facials and my skin looks great. She doesn't try to sell you a bunch of product but gives generous samples to try first....no pressure. I like that.

I've been to a few other salons in the past couple years and finally found one that I like! I would recommend this salon to everyone living in Portland, because they are just that good! Joseph has been cutting my hair for the past 8 months and I have never been happier with the job he does. I went into Hair Architects expecting to just get a cut and be on my way. Was I Wrong! Joseph spent time talking to me about what I wanted, what he saw and, ultimately, what would look good on me. He is VERY straightforward and honest with you - and he is up on all the latest trends and techniques. He treats you like you are the only client he has that day. He won't overbook and won't try to "squeeze" someone in during your time. That's important to me. My cut looks great ALL the time, and when it starts to grow, still looks good - THAT is the mark of an artist. Trust me, Jospeh KNOWS what he's doing!

I had a recomendation from a friend to look on City Search for a place to have my hair done and I
came across the Hair Architects salon. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I read the reviews and decided to have JON give me a consultation first and then went forward with his recommendation's. I was truly impressed with my outcome. My immediate surprise came from all my friends who noticed the changes immediatley and it was an uplifting feeling to have so many compliments. My haircolor has never looked better and I can take care of my hair much easier. Everyone that worked there seemed so very pleasant . I will return again due to my first experience.

I started going to Hair Architects two years ago, when someone recomended Jessica for her excellent facials. I was hooked from that time. I've been living in Portland for 10 years and haven't experienced such excellent customer service in any other salon. Her facials are out of this world. I get so many compliments from everyone on how good my skin looks, even from experts on the field. I don't like going from one salon to another, so I tried Susan for my pedicures. There are not enough words to describe her work. Susan's pedicure is the best in town hands down!!! My ugly feet have never looked this good... I can even say they are cute!

I was grateful I was able to get a last minute cut for a wedding I'm attending this weekend however I didn't realize the cut would be given by someone who appears to normally have some other function at the salon (shampoo person?). I think it might be considered a "Rachel" and will have it recut somewhere else when I get back in town. Beware.....
